U inspired me to make my breakfast this morning. I cut up a persimmon, apple, pomegranate. Put in a bowl with lime juice, cinnamon, ginger and coriander powder with some walnuts and pistachios. Sooo good. Thank you
I have been buying this apple “pink pearl” at Sprouts, seasonally. Love the red flesh and of the apples. According to Wikipedia, this cultivar was found by Albert Etter in California…. Anyone wish can google it. But if you want to buy a tree then Raintree nursery in WA carry the cultivar.
In Greece the apricot pits are used for pain in cancer patients. They are used in cookies and to make marzipan in Sicily and Italians for the Easter holiday,Not coconut. I was helping my best friend who had cervical cancer and she was eating 6 a day.She is doing fine now after her battle 8 years and she’s running around as a owner of a beautiful resort for tourists she is now in the process of building more cottages with the help from her 2 sons…lazy boogers.
I’m so hooked on apples lately too. I have to try your bread! Lately I’ve been making a quick granola, rolled oats toasted in a frying pan then some chopped pecans added with date powder and cinnamon, put some on top of chopped apples, top with my homemade soy Greek yogurt. It’s so good.❤
Looks like she prepares food like I do. I just toss ingredients into the mix in more or less amounts, watching for texture and also enough of the critical bits like leavening agents to make it come out ok. I rarely measure anything. Sometimes, admittingly, not a perfect plan. I once made a green goddess style salad dressing that came out so good the family kept asking for me to make more. Lol, that was impossible because I never wrote the "recipe" and enough days had passed that the memory of what went into it was gone.
Some say the skin on almonds are full of oxalates that may cause problems. I guess her advise is mostly for healthy people that don't have issues with certain foods.
Thanks for sharing this high protein bread recipe. I will definitely give it a try. Always looking for healthy high protein recipes. Happy Holidays everyone.
I’m going to try the bread recipe of this holiday weekend. By the way, I’m taking your supplement twice a day. I over ordered haha and I remember the the video or box that said I think twice a day will also help skin. Since I get two boxes a month, I will give the twice a day a try for the next few months. You can bean idea in case time is short is awesome. I was running late after the gym this morning and since I keep back up cans in case I didn’t get to soak my beans the night before, I used two. I drained and washed them. Added some Tofu with some nutritional yeast, I little hot sauce and wow, tasty and feeling very full. Now dinner will be red bell pepper, avocado, 1 tomato and broccoli sprinkled with some balsamic vinegar and yes yes yes. Keep the information Doc, its very helpful
If you haven't tried sundried white mulberries, I just found some at Smart & Final. They are amazing. A perfect ending to a meal if you need a sweet spot.
I’m Sicilian and Greek. I inherited a few fruit knives from my grandparents and father a few small fruit knives. They didn’t use pesticides on the apples or pears and stone fruits, blood oranges just were lying on the ground because of their bounty, also pomegranate. These old timers never ate the skins of their own fruit. They would peel back the skins of figs. Why did they live such long lives? My grandparents were in their late nineties. I never asked them why because they all did the same thing no skins I actually have approximately 6 or seven fruit knives and they look like small folding knives. One has a beautiful piece of abalone. I’m very curious about this. Can you explain.Yes they were organic and free of pesticides and I am a bit confused. I appreciate you, I will try the bread I do have everything in my kitchen and we should enjoy it! Happy holidays to you and yours!❤
This bread is an antinutrient nightmare. Almonds, walnuts, flaxseeds, and cashews are choc full of antinutrients, with almonds having the most. Contrary to what she says, the skin of the almond is the worst part of the almond. It's the worst offender as far as preventing digestion/absorption of calcium, iron, magnesium, and zinc. Soak almonds overnight, then peel off the skin before using. She mentions concern about cadmium in chocolate - well flaxseeds also contain cadmium. Consumed in small amounts it's not a worry, but the amount of flaxseeds in this bread is huge... definitely risk of too much cadmium.
FYI the apple industry in Oregon was started in 1849 by a Quaker named Henderson Lewelling. He moved his family from Indiana to Iowa where he started an orchard. Then he moved to Oregon and later to California. He is known as the father of the west coast fruit industry.
ALA isn't converted well by our bodies. It takes cups and cups of flax per day to get the DHA and EPA to meet our needs - that is if we have the ability to convert it. Recipe sounds tasty! Thanks.
A timely caution about processed food. Thanksgiving is always fraught. I'm going to share time with family and will be offered and maybe cajoled to eat 'food' that I have been avoiding for the last year. That bread is just nuts!
This generation has the attention span of a gnat, myself included. Shorter videos please. They’re informative but my brain won’t watch for this long. I can’t help it 😫
I am afraid that the flex seeds you are using will lose their nutrition, because I think the flex seeds are very sensitive to heat. The omega3 they have will lose during the heating process.

Wow.
Vitalstar, Rosette, Malus Niedzwetkaya, Red Devil, Ster Appel
All sorts that are red inside, not so rare....
How can you put dates in a bread? Is it bread or cake?😮
By the way Redlove cultivar and Lucy Glo cultivar also have red or pink flesh.

Yummy
Cardamom would be great on that.
I had a student bring in a red inside apple

Eat healthier whole foods, skip the sugar and dairy. Get some exercise and drink some tea.
Just go to the breakout & zero in on what you are most interested in. Or do what I do: watch while on the ex-bike 😊
@@murraybrockway6540Sounds about right. Also, mix in some hard to remember science words like tocotrienols any tocopherols.
I'm in the opposite situation. i'm too old to listen to thirty-three minutes. What's the recipe?
I love the long videos. If I don't have enough time, I'll watch it in segments.
1:12 I like chewing spoonfuls of whole flaxseeds, but do I get omega 3 doing this?
Put your flaxseedground in the fridge. Problem solved!
