Hi,at what age do silkies lay eggs?Aslo,how many eggs do they lay in a clutch?

I've had them start laying as early as 26 weeks.. They will lay for 3 weeks then sit. The most chicks hatched in one clutch successfully was 10. I collect the eggs for the first few weeks so the remaining eggs are 'fresh' when the hen goes to sit.
