Hi Jessie! I got my calendar from the local Chabad, they usually do one for our city every year. So you could, if you have Chabad around you, ask them if they have a calendar with halachic times. I'm sure they'd be happy to give you one if they have for a small donation. If that isn't an option for you, alternatively you can go to this website, Hebcal www.hebcal.com put in your location, (necessary for accurate times) and then you can customize a calendar to include all the info you want. It can then be downloaded, printed, synced to a digital calendar app, etc. It's not beautiful or aesthetic, but it certainly is practical! Hope this helps you!
The minimum of matanot lae'vtonim (gifts for the poor) is the minimum to but a meal, times two for two poor people. In Israel for example we give the price of two palafel dishes. You can check the price of a meal in you city.
In here we celebrate it with hamantashen and kosher wine. Even some old people dressed funny for Purim. Now in terms of the drinking, It's about not being able to discern good from evil, since it's important to do so.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and perspectives! I'm converting to Conservative Judaism and this was my first year celebrating Purim with my new community so it was all very exciting for me. I hope you and your family had a joyous holiday!
