Excellent, just excellent video. Your production skills, Dan, are professional. Just retired from tv broadcasting after 45 years and I know good work when I see it. Yours is excellent. The shot selection, composition, mix of still and motion in the edit, good audio track with mix of wild sound, recorded and on-camera narration. Damn, Dan, you should do this for a living. Roll out a series of syndicated hiking-backpacking programs, package them up. Great job, look forward to more.

I just found out this afternoon that we're moving to Billings this summer. We = myself, my wife, and our 2-year-old son. I'm perusing videos about the Beartooth area, and this video makes me extremely happy. I'll be showing it to my wife.
We're quite outdoorsy. We got a bunch of camping equipment for our wedding (cause we asked for it), but in the last half-dozen-or-so years, we haven't been able to use it much because I've been working on a Ph.D. At a couple points, we thought about selling it, but now I'm so glad we didn't.
Thank you for posting this video.

Grounded this summer by a broken knee, have been viewing many backpacking videos. I think yours are the best. Thanks for sharing.

Also I agree with the comment before that suggested you do this for a living. I would also add that I personally would love if you made some instructional videos. I'm not very experienced but would love to learn. Some tips from an obviously experienced backpacker like yourself would be valuable to me.

Great job! I hiked East Rosebud in August & enjoyed seeing the beauty all over again. I too try to document my trips with photo & video & I was curious what camera you used for the video? Again, beautiful work. You've inspired me to return & get off trail more.

WOW Breathtaking scenery!! I found it great & informative when you mention about spots along the trails to watch out for - trouble spots. I HAVE TO make it to Wyoming - Beartooths - at some point in my life; Thanks for adding another location to my BUCKET LIST! haha. Did you happen to notice any trout in any lakes or creeks?

I'll be hiking this area in a few days. Did you have any encounters with bears (or seen any?). How was the fishing?

What did you do about food storage while above tree line? Trying to determine if I need to bring bear proof containers for the Beartooth Plateau
