How to Sew Clips into Your Wig and Secure Your Wig

Even though your wig isn't going anywhere, sometimes you want a bit of added security. Sewing Metal Wig Clips into your wig is the perfect way to be sure the wig won't move at all! (these clips only work if you have some hair of your own to clip them into.) Watch and learn how to sew these clips into your wig. Even if you've never sewn before, I bet you can do it! All you need is a needle, thread and some metal wig clips :)

I find that I need extra clips on every wig and topper I wear. It gives me the reassurance I need to never worry about shifting, and for me, I prefer the extra clips vs. a wig cap or band, as they invariably slip on my very slick hair - even when I give my hair a spritz of hairspray. I like your video, it's very helpful. I bought this morning my first synthetic wig with a wig toothed brush (I don't know how you spell it) a wig stand, wig cap and those snap on clips. The wig didn't had any clips in it, so your video is very helpful to sew them on myself. I can not wait until it's getting delivered by the postman :D

Hi there, we wouldn't suggest sewing onto mono or the lace on a lace front. Better to sew more at the temples or further back to avoid damaging or freying the delicate fabric.

Hi Snehal, none of our wigs come with clips attached since many women do not want them in. However, when you order a wig, you can also choose to purchase clips for you to sew in or you can order the clips and we will sew them in. Here is the link to for products to secure your wigs:

Can we do this on a lace front ?
Hi Teri, The front of this wig is made of a delicate lace and each strand of hair is hand-tied onto the lace using a knotting technique. We do not suggest sewing clips into the lace material.
