It's not baseball, but my holy grail is a McDavid FWA PSA 10 that I purchased for $4500 at the start of covid. It's current value definitely means I made a good purchase.
I have one of my dad's cards. It's a 1964 Topps Hank Aaron graded SGC 86 NM+. I had the card graded at the National Sports Collector's Convention in Atlanta a little more than 20 years ago. The back is not scratched and the Centering is exceptional compared to what is normally seen on that product. The centering is 60/40 top to bottom and 40/60 left to right on the front. The centering on the back is absolutely perfect. The only problems are the slightest bit of wear on the corners and a little chipping on parts of the edges. It's an absolutely beautiful card. It may not be worth that much. But, it's from my dad's collection. He probably saw Hank hit over 100 homers in person. My dad said Hank Aaron was probably the best player he ever saw. That included Willie Mays to Mickey Mantle.
Please, please, please put those cards on display somewhere, they are beautiful as a complete set and would be a shame to hide those away in a shoebox or safe. Wonderful to watch your collection grow and inspiring to new collectors. Love your channel Phil.
Hey Phil thanks for doing this a lot of people were asking to see your collection of cards keep up the great work and congratulations on with working blowout
My most expensive cards I’ve ever owned was a PSA 10 Jordan Fleer rookie and Jordan Sticker PSA 10. Sold them thou 2 years ago unfortunately. Had over $150,000 worth or cards that were all sold by PWCC. Reason for sale is that I do not trust the graded card companies and after I started to see fake PSA holders from China I sold everything as I was not able to tell the difference. The hobby will collapse because of this at one point in time! Be VERY careful when purchasing high dollar cards because good chance they could be fake!!! Scared the living hell out of me and with the high dollar amounts I had invested wasn’t taking any chances!
I've started going thru my childhood collection and slowly sending them in for grading. So far my favorite is my PSA 7 1990 Pro Set Stanley Cup Hologram. I still remember pulling that card and thinking I was rich!
I'm right there with ya Brother. There were so many pulls in the early 90s that had us all thinking jobs... shiiiiii jobs are for suckers.... LoL... guess who's been a sucker for 30+ years now...until Covid19 came and took the job away and made all those cards explode in value. Oh how I just love all that irony...😠
@@zerohero23677 Nice, thanks for the info! My collection was pretty solid and in surprisingly good condition, I've got a Topps Lemieux rookie PSA 9 and a Messier O-Pee-Chee rookie PSA 8. And a package from PSA getting delivered today, it's like Christmas! :)
Amazing, what about making a video or commenting in detail in another video about the PSA process? I'm still new at collecting and don't understand the process. I am under the impression I cant just send one card for grading, is that right? What about sending relics?
There is a guy on TH-cam who sent a raw pack fresh first edition charizard recently to PSA and it got lost still hasn’t been found its valued at around 55k lol crazy
Wow! I don’t really care about grading besides authentication purposes but that reason alone of something being lost has always terrified me about sending cards in
Was the card lost somewhere while on the possession of PSA or it was long in the mail? I wonder what they figure they'll compensate him at, does anyone know any of the details?
I’m genuinely excited for Phil in completing his PSA 10 Tatis Jr. Rainbow. He’s been talking about it for as long as I’ve watched him and it’s also fun to see those with passion accomplishment their goals. Congratulations, Phil.
By far one of these best PSA reveal vids I've seen to date simply because....you showed which cards didn't meet your standards as well which most folks won't do generally because if some weirdo mental thing or something haha. Anyways thanks bud that's great you finally finished the rainbow. Grats
Last week I saw a video were u mentioned Zeigler and your self collecting cards . And mentioned something about holding your cards hostage ? Does anyone know what that meant ?
If the cards not meet the min grade, they should still tell you what they got. I think it would be good, they should also let you send them in at the grade for a cheaper price
Love your channel..it's totally awesome and the best channel on TH-cam..Hope you stay around for very long time..Thanks for all the awesome content..Congrats on your Tatis Jr. rainbow
First and foremost... Brother, you got some serious cardboard right there. I feel like I'm getting poorer and going broke just from VICARIOUSLY living through Phil !!! Second... I see Topps CAN actually correctly cut and center a Bobby Witt Jr.... Lol Congratulations on everything Phil.... Here's to dreaming one day I'll get to crack a box of that Sapphire for myself! Cheers Brother
I love that you put eBay comp prices for most of the cards in your videos. It saves us from all having to search the prices on our own.

Thanks Phil, always appreciate when you share the ones you keep/acquire, and stories behind them. Would love more of these!
Dang that tatis is NOICE!
Wow... Congrats on getting the Gem 10 grade on the Superfractor. That would have hurt if that was anything less than Gem 10.
Hey Phil thanks for doing this a lot of people were asking to see your collection of cards keep up the great work and congratulations on with working blowout
Love these mail day vids Phil! That rainbow is sick, once it's up for sale I'll be bidding!! 🤑🤑🤑

That card is worth $1500. A Stanley Cup hologram graded 10 is worth $30,000.

How did you get that frame? That thing is awesome
Haha that kid dancing like he’s a pro. That video had been on TH-cam forever. That’s cool that you put it on your intro
Awesome video & an awesome return on your investment. You need a custom PSA frame for the rainbow.
I’m genuinely excited for Phil in completing his PSA 10 Tatis Jr. Rainbow. He’s been talking about it for as long as I’ve watched him and it’s also fun to see those with passion accomplishment their goals. Congratulations, Phil.
And now it’s virtually worthless….
Good to know about the mistake labels on PSA graded cards. Gratz again on the rainbow.
Hey Phil I was wondering where you got the frame

Great return, interested to see when those other orders come back what else you’ve been grading!

My favorite is 2019 Topps Heritage RC Auto of Taylor Ward PSA10. Even though it's not an expensive card, it looks so nice.
Just awesome wow very nice cards congrats on the rainbow just speechless
I’m glad those autos are not numbered low or you would have most of the grails 😆
My favorite graded card is a Nate Pearson Blue Wave Refractor Auto PSA10
Never gets old seeing that Tatis superfractor. Could be a million dollar card someday. Grats on the dime
Yea but unfortunately the polar opposite happened. Entire rainbow is worth like $500 now.

Wasn’t ready for the Shia laBeouf appearance

You should look into getting polarizing filters to cut the glare
Awesome, congratulations Phil !
Would love to know where you got that frame. Did PSA make that especially for you?
1989 Upper Deck Griffey it’s only a PSA 8 but damn I love that card!!
If the cards not meet the min grade, they should still tell you what they got. I think it would be good, they should also let you send them in at the grade for a cheaper price
You sir are a gentleman... and a savage! Beast of a card.
Am on the fence about Min grade, at least when graded and slabbed it is protected, Great stuff congrats on the rainbow set
Congrats on that tatis super. Awesome card man. Love the videos, always fun to watch
that tatis rainbow forever amazes me
If you want t graded 10 card send it to PSA, They'll grade anything a 10. Beckett is the superior grading service to use.

My fav PSA card is my PSA 10 Shiny Guzzlord i bought off Ebay from a guy named PhillPullz
Wow superfractor is amazing . How’d you get that frame
My favourite card in my collection is a 2013 mile trout gold cup sliding emerald card I sent to pea and haven’t gotten it returned
Are all those cards besides the herro that didn’t grade in the card savers without a penny sleeve?
😂😂 the intro!!
Nice tatis!!! Love that rainbow
Some crazy nice gems there.
First and foremost... Brother, you got some serious cardboard right there. I feel like I'm getting poorer and going broke just from VICARIOUSLY living through Phil !!!

Congratulations on everything Phil.... Here's to dreaming one day I'll get to crack a box of that Sapphire for myself!

I want to buy the Pete Alonso that didn't grade if u want to sell I can pay with credit, debit, or PayPal what ever you prefer
How do you send them where they return it without your minimum grade?
Beautiful cards. Tatis is your most expensive card? Excellent video
When you submit a card to PSA can you put it in a penny sleeve then in the card saver?
Wow! What a beauty 😍
Haha I love the intro
Did you contact ChiCity Pulls about the Tatis Chrome Superfractor he pulled?
Is that volpe available im a huge fan and I'm only like 5 minutes away from him
Where can you buy those frames ?
Do you ever answer fan questions here?
Had no idea this was Phil Hughes TH-cam channel 😂 mind BLOWN 🤯. I just been aimlessly watching your vids for months now... sheesh 😂
Sweet cards! Just curious as to why you wouldn't take a 9 on the others that didn't meet psa 10 criteria? Keeping them raw or going bgs/sgc?
How did that PSA 9 Dominguez get past the min grade filter?
Should get the rainbow framed together
Hey bud I just found an 8 x 11 signed photo in Biloxi at the mall from you for 40 bucks. It was cool.
Got a down payment on a house right there lol
