    Hello, is it ok to fertilize trees that start fruiting in May? Or that would harm the small fruits on the tree?
    Thank you.

    • @georgiafarmingwithfluevog
      @georgiafarmingwithfluevog  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Khalid - no issue with fertilizing. Typically once they fruit, it is best to switch to a lower nitrogen fertilizer to help the fruits develop rather than push the tree to keep growing leaves.

    Would anything happen if I diluted this and poured it into the soil instead?

    • @UserOne371
      @UserOne371 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Priscilla Nguyen A lot of the nutrients would wash away and be wasted, the point of putting the fertilizer in the soil is it breaks down over time and slowly works it’s way into the soil

    Is it best to take the mulch off first and put the granules under the mulch?

    • @georgiafarmingwithfluevog
      @georgiafarmingwithfluevog  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you do not plan on watering right away, this would be a good idea to keep it from getting blown off or getting washed away with a heavy rain. Just make sure it is not touching the trunk or roots directly. If you plan to water in the fertilizer, then it does not matter above or below the mulch

      Hi Arash - It definitely can stain anything it touches so be careful. I chose to use chemicals because they out perform organics in terms of insect repellent and growth behavior. Whatever your preference is!

    I have citrus trees and apples trees should I only fertilize citrus trees if so can I fertilize them currently or should I wait until next spring

    • @georgiafarmingwithfluevog
      @georgiafarmingwithfluevog  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would only do the foliar feeding for the citrus. I’d wait until next spring so it doesn’t get on the fruit if you are not doing an organic. Use a granular for the apple
