    I’m in tropical northern Australia so we are heading to a very hot summer. My potted lime is full of leaf but no flowers so what do you recommend please? Great tips👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🌻

      hot summer or winter? Lime will bloom in the spring. Container plants tend to lose their flowers/fruits very easily. I recommend to automate your watering system so your container never goes dry. Sun and plenty of heat, that's about it.

    Thank you for educating me,last year my valecia orange flowered for the seconr time but dropped all fruit just like the first time, then I neglected it to a point of yellowinng and dropping lthose yellow leaves, as winter ended I ammended the soil pH and added manure and watered and within a week the tree is giving new leaves and flowers , I was so confused as to follow what I learned in the past ( which was a failure of cos) or not. Then this video, Iam sorted

    My Fukushu Kumquat fruited for the 1st time last year. Big tasty fruit. My only complaint was that each fruit had about 10 seeds in it. Alan, is that normal for this specific variety of Kumquat?

    • @qctropicals

      if you use a slow release fertilizer like I do. In pots, I fertilize once a season usually in the spring once I see new growth on the plants.

    I love the breakdown of just toss it on top, let the bugs do their thing and just keep watering. Simple, no mixing with the dirt, it will find its way to the roots. Awesome Video.

      yes, I don't know where the "myth" is mixing the stuff in the dirt started... I guess people who don't know how plants eat would buy into that.

    I have a lisbon lemon that
    Has been in the ground for about 2 and a half years and seems to have stalled. It's not pushing any new growth but not dying back ether. Not sure if I should dig it up or leave it.

    • @qctropicals
      @qctropicals  ปีที่แล้ว

      citrus needs direct sun light to grow. Also at 2.5 years you should be deep watering. Don't pull it as that would reset the time it will take to root itself in the ground again.

    • @charlessingletaryiii331
      @charlessingletaryiii331 ปีที่แล้ว

      @QCTropicals it gets all day sun. And deep watering. I got it from home depot so I'm not sure if it the issue of not being able to absorb all the necessary nutrients. The first year it grew fast but as it reached the native soil it stopped.
