Competition is great for the overall landscape of this genre so i'd really like to see the game succeed. There's some things i like, manual defending actually feels rewarding for one but if they can't iron out how stiff and robotic the players feel it's DOA tbh. As a collective we need to keep our expectations realistic and the reality is the game is years away from being in a state where it can even attempt to grab the attention of a wider playbase.
Facts. I ike where they are going with game, but thers still a tom a bugs and glitches. As bad as ea is, ufl will still have a long way to even be near ea.

@@JadaKingdom971 doesnt change the fact that ea are better and will be atleast until ufl release. In contrast to ea they actually listens to us, but unfortunately the gameplay is horrondous. I like the menus tho

One thing I found very funny in this beta is that a lot of people haven't understood that skins work like chemistry in FC and in order to get all of the bonuses you need 8 players in the same family of skin.

Honestly bro just wanted to say thanks for keeping me occupied during summer with your streams and videos. I was going through a rough time this year for personal reasons but icl as much as fc24 is a dog game, your videos and streams helped see past that. Starting uni next month so I probably wont be getting fc25 or playing as many games in general. Growing up is lowkey sad lmao.
Exactly how I was feeling like last year and Nick helped me out alot too. Keep your head up, next year probably even earlier you‘re going to look back at this day as something you just had to go trough to grow.

This game is 2 years away atleast from being ready. I love their directions and ideas, But the execution is lacking badly. Randomness, Bugs, Game and ball physics are all over the place, Touches are so slow and robotic, Keepers are broken, The overall feel of the game is sluggish and not fluid at all. I fully support what they're trying to do, I just don't see how this is near being a playable game.

@@Oliver-wx8sf so what? ofc youre right but think further now please and tell me how that should change our view on the game tho? facts are the game is not in a good state and making it better takes time.. and who knows if they will even get that time, if the game flops no money = games dies. its not a good sign if a developer team rushes things, they couldve easily said you know what we need longer to make the game better, we maybe just invite some content creators / fifa pros to help us with the game but no, they threw out this "beta" ( and dont be fooled by this word, betas are almost the finished game ) prob thinking it would do well but its not good at all. a team that acts and thinks like that concerns me. the dribbling feels bad, the physics suck, the player lock sucks, passing is such a clown fiesta, shots are inconsistent af, keepers are op like its overall a mess. and what does fifa do? theyll just copy good ideas from other games like animations on cards we already know we gonna get them too ( skins ).
reality is unfortunatly that they wont be able to touch Fifa and then its up to their ressources how long they can fight. efootball atleast has a big company behind them and is doing not super shitty even tho the game is pure ass.

This beta was so much fun - the animations are satill clunky and simpel, but it's great that even passes are tough to pull off.
Like they said in their latest "journey" video, they want to make every aspect of football count.
My issue with this game is it feels like I’m in quicksand if I’m trying to move at all. The people I play will defend horribly but I’m unable to take 3 steps without my player falling over the ball
Yeah dribbling is awful. The same complaint we have with FC24 that you cannot dribble without R1. I don't know why these football companies make dribbling so difficult. We play with professional footballers. The minimum should be that they can dribble somewhat decent. Not like an amateur footballer...
The responsiveness is way better in FC24. Tried one game of UFL and deleted it

i think with time this game will really be a competitor to fifa and will bring the joy of a good football game. the problem is the time aspect but ea's gotten so bad that ppl will be more willing to wait
I noticed a lot that my CAM would have like 30 stamina at half time no matter who i used or what their fitness was, hopefully they can sort that
I Agree, there isn't much difference from the first open beta. Is it really difficult to code a sprint animation properly, sometimes they run past the ball, and the ball sometimes moves too far away from the player while sprinting. The passing is still inconsistent not polished enough. The transition animations when the players changes directions aren't smooth, i think thats just the engine powering the game. If thats in their budget I understand. In general, this game is still not complete yet. It is promising for sure, but still need a lot of work. Just keep working on it before it is officially released.
"You have to actually have a football brain to play this game" 5 seconds after calling his opponent a pathetic rat for building up from the back like the majority of IRL clubs do 😅 We complain about EAFC being a counter-attack simulator, but then hate on anyone who doesn't play by immediately launching the ball up to their forwards after gaining possession.
Also gotta love the mindless application of skins, not knowing that he needs 3+ matching skins for them to have any effect (apart from the player-specific skins, obviously). Not criticizing btw, just found it funny.
The things I love about this game are the manual defending. It rewards me for the right choices I'm making. I value this so much, and of course, there are some glitches. But if they continue to improve the passing as well as the glitches and keep us engaged with different modes, this game has potential. I really hope they do improve on our feedbacks.
Already better gameplay to me, feels more like 2018 pes but they are heading in the right direction. Player retention maybe an issue as it's quite easy to build a nice team. I'd scale the progression back a tad and add more modes

They had a chance to make this unique, but free to play puts them in a spot where they HAVE to get your money asap. But not having the gameplay yet.
Nick, even that I like your content I don't think you can use the term "have a football brain" in the same game that you say that it's simple to play football with how the gameplay is just because if you have a little space you say you deserve to score.
The gameplay basically is like the old FIFA ones when the defense is always the back 4 and the rest of the team looks like a charity match just floating around, the difference is that FIFA reached a point when people started to just overspammed skills against more manual defense so they overcompensated with and overpowered defense IA.
This type of gameplay is not "better" than others, it's just more basic and arcade like it was in the old days.
Yeah gameplay still needs to improve massively. It feels like your players are on ice skates if you have the ball. That's not something good because we also have that complaint with FC24 where you cannot proper dribble without holding R1. Dribbling needs to be simple. They are all professional footballers so they could atleast feel good on the ball. The better players of course a better but the minimum has to be way better. Also the GK's of course which are stupidly good in this game. Also they need to have more modes if they want to compete with FC. Only a ranked based mode isn't going to last long enough
This looks better than i imagined. The salary cap, evo type system and the gameplay looks great. You can see from alot of the animations it isnt as fluid as others on the market. Lets give it time and hopefully we can all start enjoying playing a football game again

I simply did not understand the xp cap when building a squad, I was coming up against people in my divisions with god squads when I could only have 2 top players. I faced a guy that had Haaland Messi and Mbappe ? How the heck is that possible when I could only have 1 of those players
For me, I see that the game is more realistic compared to other games. Even the passes will depend not only on your direction of the ball, but also on the player. Is he in a position that allows him to pass a good football or he may make a mistake in doing so and whether you have sufficient skill or not? Also, the players’ interaction with attack and defense is more realistic. They never appear to be artificial intelligence, but rather their reflections are more realistic than that

3 things I’d say they need to improve
1. Make the dribbling a bit more smooth
2. Players locking onto loose balls/passes with too much power
3. Players using correct foot in correct situations
They could tone down keepers too but I don’t really mind because it’s not impossible to score just a bit more challenging
i rlly hope this becomes a really good game, even if FC stays more popular (because it probably will) it will at least make some competition, so ea have to try a bit harder to make a good game
The reputation cap killed it for me personally. I know people like it, but not being able to just put in the players you want to use is a little counter productive. And if they are going to have it they need to make RP significantly easier to gain as I played and won 10+ matches in silver and gold with the boosters from the pass and barely got any so couldn’t actually improve my team
How is it bad? It’s a good thing you have to play games to get a better team , anyone can just build a good team if reputation cap wasn’t a thing
Skins are just chem styles, but you can change the design of the card. It's nicer to look at, but it's the essentially the same thing
1. Stamina drain on this game is crazy for some players/positions
2. A lot of the time passes (esp through balls) do not go where I aimed and powered it up to go

It's interesting that the game is clearly rough/unfinished but I could sense how much fun you had playing and for me that's enough for now.
I also disagree that that Mbappe pass at 23:30 didn't make sense. Sure where the ball eventually went was a little awkward but he had his back to the intended recipient and the ball was moving away from that direction. In reality, only elite passers of the ball would be able to make that pass easily.
That's realistic, otherwise it's just some more FIFA ping pong.
They need to understand there is no need to rush. The players deadline is a game we enjoi. That's the deadline. We have been waiting forever so .. we can wait
I thought them increasing game speed and sprinting made the game a complete rng mess. That was a bad change. They should keep gamespeed consistent throughout testing... Outside the box shooting being the best way to score is not a good thing lol If you do the ball roll command twice it does a fake roll/ ball roll to other direction - if u start using ball role and then pull that one out you COOK!

This game literally needs around 8-12 beta's in order to get anything near to compete ea fc or any other soccer game . They can't just bring this game out like this
I guess make a good football game from the scratch is very hard especially if you have to compete with EA that has so many experience and technology.
The shots and finishes aren't deadly enough, if you don't count the glitch finesse shots

I’m not sure you can complain about unrealistic gameplay and then rip on back passes. Football isn’t just tiki taka through the defense then shot. It’s shifting the other team’s shape.

I actually really like how hard it is to play out the back and the difficulty to win headers against the CBs. The game rewards using target man type strikers in build up play which gives the game a lot of variety if you don’t like just sending through balls to mbappe over and over again. It made playing with big men up top like dovbyk and giroud feel a lot more realistic and useful than FC where most of those types of players are basically useless. And if you don’t have a lot of RP to spare it’s nice to still be able to win games with an 80-81 level striker and have more rp to spend on the rest of the team.
Looks good. I’ll be getting this instead of EAFC
I enjoyed this second Beta. The players are more fluid and the game itself let us play diferent kind of play styles.

This beta was so ratty this weekend
First beta I played went 36-12 was enjoying it but this second beta was horrible in my opinion they took steps backwards the ball doesn’t go where you pass it the through balls are horrible the game play needs to be worked on a lot glitches and randomness they need to sit down and work on this because I want them to succeed and do well the menu stuff is all great but the gameplay is key

Game plays 100% like FIFA 14-17 with no scripting. Update (after 20 matches): no scripting but your players stats are dropped to zero. A 60 pace player will out run your fastest and completing short passes becomes impossible. More EA trash!

The gameplay in the 2nd beta felt so ass, evwn compared to the first one. Yeah you could finally sprint, but it still felt bad. Dribbling was ass, passing was ass, tackling/defending was ass, ai was ass, shooting was ass, goalies were quite op, which doesnt have to be a bad thing but sometimes i didnt know what to do to score and sometimes the most random shot went in. Set pieces are not that great. Maybe i have a bad memory but i had waaay more fun in the first beta
I played on Friday couple of games and dropped it. It was better before
