There was a closed beta which at the started the gameplay was shocking first day but they made updates to fix it and it’s a lot better. It’s a bit manual so trying to do kick off glitch will not work. L1 dribble won’t work. You have to play patience football like build up then counter because the control and pass is so responsive and accurate if you know the passing buttons but gameplay feels good. There are a few bugs but it’s the beta. So trying fifa glitches won’t work on Ufl. Goalkeepers are really good too Another thing to keep in mind CP and RP if you quit a game you won’t get RP at all and also with the team pass there two. A standard one and a premium one basically like a battle pass. You can get skin packs which you can get players from, there are kits, badges, RP points etc. in this game you have to play smartly you can’t just spamming L1 R1 because the defensive are smart to notice so you can with versatile with what u do. So corners are hard but if you’re stuggling take one corner out of a short one making a passing lane open to pass towards the players closet to the goal. Or play short run with the player and cross. This is fast paced which you can pull off 1-2 passes well and over the top balls as well. But keep in mind that the defending it’s on you. If you take ur defender out of position it’s criminal so pick formation that has possession around like 4 bars or one with max out defending like 3-5-2 or 4-4-3(5) which you counter attack, possession, attack but defensive lacking if that is how you want to play ufl. People who hop today. Will try to play the fifa way but you won’t be able to jam ur way through as easily. Events are basically objectives in fifa you do a certain tasks and complete it for CP. tactics are as op as FIFA’s own but it’s still a must have. The skin pack animation is like nba 2k24 it will but you will see a text to open it and you may get players like Ronaldo, Messi but once you packed them you must have coins to claim the player. Refeeres are actually good. The cut Scenes for ref don’t skip cuz you won’t know if the ref will give yellow or red or a warning. So that’s everything in ufl

The problem with this community is everyone wants them to copy everything EA does with game modes & what not when in reality that’s not possible. Super promising for a beta, obviously going to take quite a bit of time, development, and funding to get anywhere near EA; but I’m there for change and something new and refreshing.
the skin feature is so sick, when they release promos or whatever they plan to do, won't be making players outdated. it will just be new designs for the already existing players, so so so cool

Sadly, only casual players want a new football game, most of the people here in the comments are addicted to packs on FUT (not all of you, but most of you here) For casual players, a simple online mode like Clubs or Seasons and a decent offline career mode will be more than enough if the gameplay is good

it looks good, but the animations/game design looks almost borderline copied from fifa, idk about the development but it looks almost suspiciously like an older version of fifa (gameplay wise) praying it doesnt get sued or something for stealing certain animations/player models/3d assets from fifa etc.
I know right, and I like the idea of 5 selectable skills you can use to customise your players. There's a lot of tinkering you can do there to build a squad that complements each other's skills.
The game seems like it really could make a dent in the industry. Gameplay still a bit clunky but I like that it’s more manual than fifa and with less inertia than Efootball

For a completely new game, made from scratch, this seems pretty solid. It seems some moves from players are somehow robotic, but still looks well done. From just this simple gameplay, we can say that this game can actually be good in the future. In terms of movement and realism it is still not quite as good and the other ones, but I'm sure it's a working in progress. They actually made a solid game, and it's only the beta version. Props to them honestly. Let's hope they don't ruin the game in the future with loads of microtransactions.
I love the fact that there is no tactics man. There's no players bunching in the middle and the AI is not over powered man. I love it man finally some competition that was built properly

At least the added time ends when it’s supposed to. On fc it’s stupid and bugged how long they allow games to go on for, basically allowing for robbery goals to happen often. If it’s +1 or +2 on fc they play 3 or 4 minutes past what the added time is. +1 will go to 94th/95th minute if the opponent is anywhere near your box. The amount of games I’ve lost due to goals that shouldn’t of even happened is crazy
lol no it doesn't EA changed it in fifa 23 to be hardcoded so when you go near the halfway at the last minute the ref automatically blows, before fifa 23 it could go on for +7 e.t.c. as it was bugged. try in the last minute to change direction towards halfway line on counter attack and you will see. The game is so nice, and if they add offline modes like master league, with licenses, I don't think people will still play EA FC or eFootball. However, it's too fast, that makes it a bit arcade like EA FC, I mean the passes specifically and the shots, even when the player is not at an optimal technique, for some reason the pass goes too and sometimes too accurate. Pes and eFootball do better job in this regard. I wish they start taking some of the positives of Pes and eFootball, instead of just copying Fifa and just trying to make another version of Fifa just with some gameplay fixes.
Football games should be arcadey, if the make it realistic they ruin it. Having to make the game ‘realistic’ is what completely fucked fifa after FIFA 18 when they started making the game more ‘realistic’. A realistic football game will always suck balls. I tried this game for myself. Menus are nice, i like the skins idea for a nice dynamic of cards you can get. I like the earning of the currency by playing the game. However, the game feels super stiff. I tried the local match aswell with the 1 preset team with salah, ronaldo and all the high rated players so i wasnt getting stiff gameplay from low rated players but its the way the game plays. I cant put my finger in it exactly, but i didnt enjoy the gameplay at all to be honest. Graphics isnt really an issue but it isnt as good looking as fifa 17, it has that fifa 13-15 look about it. I dunno man. I hate EA, but in my honest opinion. This wont be 'the' game to beat EAFC. i know its a beta... but i also knoq how long theyve been making it for and i feel like they need 5 more years at this rate to get a polished game that can actually compete with EAFC from a gameplay standpoint, particularly with juet how smooth the transition is. I know you get alot of bad scripting in fifa (or at least it seems it) but at least for me eafc functions smoothly in game.
The graphic for each player like their icons look really good. When in game it look like PES. Hopefully when the game fully release they upgrade the player in game look

Giving up from the get go is how EA keeps you playing. UFL has a good monetization system, An open line of communication and community interaction, And this beta is really well put together despite the game obviously being far from finished. There's no reason to have this usual depressed approched.
Im 70 games in ufl (fifa rank 1 player) but trust me this game wont survive long if they dont make massive changes. There are so many lucky bug goals that if u thought fifa was unfair sometimes this game will make u tilt so bad.
This will be a massive step in feedback, which is why they’ve done this open beta. It’s their first time, they’ve got a lot to learn. I see this game taking at least another half a year to actually come out, if not a year. And you can’t really blame the devs for that……..

This game had all the annoying habits of OG FIFA. - run straight through and score - guaranteed finesse goals from certain angles - tap a player and it's a foul (rubbish hit detection) - penalty aimed in either corner still goes down the middle (with Ronaldo taking it too!) Good parts: - Card Skins - No being priced out of the market for certain players - everyone links good as long as they're in right position - less A.I. control meaning more skill (but the bad habits above make it seem scripted) However, just because it's free doesn't mean its good. FIFA i cba with because of the price tag so I'll wait until its free again on ps+, and PES is just 💩 so based on the experience so far, i guess no football game for me again next season! (Yes I know it's a beta but gameplay still feels very bad)

So if im understanding this properly they have a perk system(dunno what its called in fifa) but id assume that means theres no need for special cards. If you want a player to have a specific feat/perk you must level them up and unlock it, then you can equip it to said player? And theres multiple slots, almost like customizing a gun in CoD but its football/soccer?! Thats a cool concept to me, though i might be interpreting this all wrong.

Btw do not rush the keeper at all. Unless the keeper is close to the ball. You need to use ur Brain in this game. You cannot sprint through players you have to move the ball around.
Also skills points are cruel to have. If you see on top of the card the start flashing you have skills which will boost stats like I have an 82 CB called Bell I got one perk that made him have 90 interceptions but you have make sure the fits the perk that’s lets play the boost dribbling there’s 3 or 4 of them but you have to level up and if you the boost it helps

True but those idiots are confused this is a game which got lots of updates to go f2p and improves on community feedback. All honestly we need this type of competition to make the knobheads at EA to work on improving fc 24 and beyond. 2k are also coming in so we in good hands my career wise.

Nah because that's one of the reasons I don't like fifa, the fact that I don't get to do everything is lowkey really annoying, so this game seems like it'll be good imo.
For a completely new game, made from scratch, this seems pretty solid. It seems some moves from players are somehow robotic, but still looks well done. From just this simple gameplay, we can say that this game can actually be good in the future. In terms of movement and realism it is still not quite as good and the other ones, but I'm sure it's a working in progress. They actually made a solid game, and it's only the beta version. Props to them honestly. Let's hope they don't ruin the game in the future with loads of microtransactions.

At least the added time ends when it’s supposed to. On fc it’s stupid and bugged how long they allow games to go on for, basically allowing for robbery goals to happen often. If it’s +1 or +2 on fc they play 3 or 4 minutes past what the added time is. +1 will go to 94th/95th minute if the opponent is anywhere near your box. The amount of games I’ve lost due to goals that shouldn’t of even happened is crazy
lol no it doesn't EA changed it in fifa 23 to be hardcoded so when you go near the halfway at the last minute the ref automatically blows, before fifa 23 it could go on for +7 e.t.c. as it was bugged. try in the last minute to change direction towards halfway line on counter attack and you will see. The game is so nice, and if they add offline modes like master league, with licenses, I don't think people will still play EA FC or eFootball. However, it's too fast, that makes it a bit arcade like EA FC, I mean the passes specifically and the shots, even when the player is not at an optimal technique, for some reason the pass goes too and sometimes too accurate. Pes and eFootball do better job in this regard. I wish they start taking some of the positives of Pes and eFootball, instead of just copying Fifa and just trying to make another version of Fifa just with some gameplay fixes.

I tried this game for myself. Menus are nice, i like the skins idea for a nice dynamic of cards you can get. I like the earning of the currency by playing the game.
However, the game feels super stiff. I tried the local match aswell with the 1 preset team with salah, ronaldo and all the high rated players so i wasnt getting stiff gameplay from low rated players but its the way the game plays. I cant put my finger in it exactly, but i didnt enjoy the gameplay at all to be honest. Graphics isnt really an issue but it isnt as good looking as fifa 17, it has that fifa 13-15 look about it.
I dunno man. I hate EA, but in my honest opinion. This wont be 'the' game to beat EAFC. i know its a beta... but i also knoq how long theyve been making it for and i feel like they need 5 more years at this rate to get a polished game that can actually compete with EAFC from a gameplay standpoint, particularly with juet how smooth the transition is. I know you get alot of bad scripting in fifa (or at least it seems it) but at least for me eafc functions smoothly in game.
The graphic for each player like their icons look really good. When in game it look like PES. Hopefully when the game fully release they upgrade the player in game look

Giving up from the get go is how EA keeps you playing. UFL has a good monetization system, An open line of communication and community interaction, And this beta is really well put together despite the game obviously being far from finished. There's no reason to have this usual depressed approched.

Im 70 games in ufl (fifa rank 1 player) but trust me this game wont survive long if they dont make massive changes. There are so many lucky bug goals that if u thought fifa was unfair sometimes this game will make u tilt so bad.
This will be a massive step in feedback, which is why they’ve done this open beta. It’s their first time, they’ve got a lot to learn. I see this game taking at least another half a year to actually come out, if not a year. And you can’t really blame the devs for that……..

This game had all the annoying habits of OG FIFA.
- run straight through and score
- guaranteed finesse goals from certain angles
- tap a player and it's a foul (rubbish hit detection)
- penalty aimed in either corner still goes down the middle (with Ronaldo taking it too!)
Good parts:
- Card Skins
- No being priced out of the market for certain players
- everyone links good as long as they're in right position
- less A.I. control meaning more skill (but the bad habits above make it seem scripted)
However, just because it's free doesn't mean its good.
FIFA i cba with because of the price tag so I'll wait until its free again on ps+, and PES is just 💩 so based on the experience so far, i guess no football game for me again next season!

So if im understanding this properly they have a perk system(dunno what its called in fifa) but id assume that means theres no need for special cards.
If you want a player to have a specific feat/perk you must level them up and unlock it, then you can equip it to said player? And theres multiple slots, almost like customizing a gun in CoD but its football/soccer?!

There was a closed beta which at the started the gameplay was shocking first day but they made updates to fix it and it’s a lot better. It’s a bit manual so trying to do kick off glitch will not work. L1 dribble won’t work. You have to play patience football like build up then counter because the control and pass is so responsive and accurate if you know the passing buttons but gameplay feels good. There are a few bugs but it’s the beta. So trying fifa glitches won’t work on Ufl. Goalkeepers are really good too
Another thing to keep in mind CP and RP if you quit a game you won’t get RP at all and also with the team pass there two. A standard one and a premium one basically like a battle pass. You can get skin packs which you can get players from, there are kits, badges, RP points etc. in this game you have to play smartly you can’t just spamming L1 R1 because the defensive are smart to notice so you can with versatile with what u do. So corners are hard but if you’re stuggling take one corner out of a short one making a passing lane open to pass towards the players closet to the goal. Or play short run with the player and cross. This is fast paced which you can pull off 1-2 passes well and over the top balls as well. But keep in mind that the defending it’s on you. If you take ur defender out of position it’s criminal so pick formation that has possession around like 4 bars or one with max out defending like 3-5-2 or 4-4-3(5) which you counter attack, possession, attack but defensive lacking if that is how you want to play ufl. People who hop today. Will try to play the fifa way but you won’t be able to jam ur way through as easily. Events are basically objectives in fifa you do a certain tasks and complete it for CP. tactics are as op as FIFA’s own but it’s still a must have. The skin pack animation is like nba 2k24 it will but you will see a text to open it and you may get players like Ronaldo, Messi but once you packed them you must have coins to claim the player. Refeeres are actually good. The cut Scenes for ref don’t skip cuz you won’t know if the ref will give yellow or red or a warning.
So that’s everything in ufl
Btw do not rush the keeper at all. Unless the keeper is close to the ball.
You need to use ur Brain in this game. You cannot sprint through players you have to move the ball around.
Also skills points are cruel to have. If you see on top of the card the start flashing you have skills which will boost stats like I have an 82 CB called Bell I got one perk that made him have 90 interceptions but you have make sure the fits the perk that’s lets play the boost dribbling there’s 3 or 4 of them but you have to level up and if you the boost it helps

BUT I know the dude that broke through my back line and is one on one with the keeper and doesn’t score because of a stupid game mechanic, is fuming!! Just like I do sometimes too. It’s unnecessary for enjoyment. I rather the game end 6-7 but we both had fun scoring
