Seasons in the Abyss is the fifth studio album by the thrash metal band Slayer. It was released on October 9, 1990 through Def American Records, and later through American Recordings after the company changed its name. The album's recording sessions began in January 1990. The sessions began at Hit City West, Hollywood Sound, and in June, the sessions ended at Record Plant in Los Angeles, California.
The musical style of the album is similar and was compared by critics to the band's previous two albums: South of Heaven and Reign In Blood. The album's reception was generally positive, with AllMusic rewarding the album with a rating of four and a half out of five stars and Entertainment Weekly gave the album a B+. It peaked number 18 in the United Kingdom and also charted on the Billboard 200 at number 40. It was certified gold in both the United States and Canada

Dude...I've watched this video several times... you fucking rule!!!
Not going to critique u Constantine. U always do a great job. And I’m too old and too chicken to up my own bass vids. A few things viewers need to remember:
1- every musician has an interpretation, therefore plays what they here. So is there a right way or wrong way? In my opinion, only in extreme cases where it’s dead wrong or incomplete or someone has studied the original for hours on end.
2- instructional vids are designed as guides, much like car repair manuals or assembly instructions. So, even though I think your cover is a little bland, I think it’s a great way for a beginner or less experienced musician to learn the root line, especially if their ear is t developed yet. Or in my case, My hearing isn’t what used to be, due to my profession.
So keep it going, sir, you do great. I use your vids when I can’t hear certain notes or figure out a progression. Thanks much. BTW, your last name, where did it originate? Sounds Eastern European. Thanks again
Can we expect anymore slayer covers any time soon? Some of the other old classics like angel of death etc. would be cool. Although I'd quite like to see something off the new album Repentless.

Great vid and cover. But to be honest i thought the bass is boring for the majority of the song.
Solid bass makes a band tight. Over complex things and you end up competing with the guitars and it gets sloppy. I often think a lot of 'shreddy' bassists would sound so much better if they simplified it a bit... or took up guitar.
@@williammorris7895 Shreddiness is bad if it makes the bass overbearing. It's just like if a jazz guitarist started ripping crazy distorted solos for no reason. Fast and intense bass is necessary to complement an equally fast and intense band. Think tech death.

You are a better bass player then tom araya...I think every bass player is better then tom. Tom is a shitty bass player but a world class vocalist and frontman.
He actually had some interesting bass lines on show no mercy and hell awaits, not to mention the bass was audible on those albums.
Jim Messer Bass should be always audible in every metal record.If you can't make your bass audible then STOP FUCKING PLAYING IT!!!!!!If a bass player does this,he is wasting his and his band mates time.
Razvan Gabor sometimes it is inaudible due to shitty headphones though lol... Like I just got some new headphones, I hear all kinds of shit now it's great.
