The best way to understand it is to move your rear sight the way you want your bullet to hit. If you go up, the bullet will hit higher, if you move it down the bullet will hit lower.. got it? Right.. yep.. will hit more to the right. Left will hit left. Summary: the bullet will hit in the direction you are moving the rear sight. Best Regards
I'd like to see a topic Tuesday regarding custom shop orders, and discuss/explain in detail the custom shop options (e.g. trigger tuning, dehorn, tactical packages, checkering, finishes, sight options, etc)
Ok I stand corrected on what I said in the post below. Evidently you (Colt) reversed your decision to sell the AR platform to civilians. Bravo to you, I will give credit where credit is due. I did give over $1200 for an earlier model 6920, and it is a great weapon, but I will not give that much again. Lower the price and sell more or keep it high and sell less. I would like to have the .22 version and would rather not have to build it too, but I will if need be. Thanks for changing your mind!
Should teach a class on how to sight in an AR-15. I have seen so many civilians attempt to shoot one with absolutely no idea even where to place their cheek to stock weld.
majorlee76251 Yup, and civilians have never known the joy of being beaten by a cleaning rod. Otherwise they would be able to sight in their AR platforms.
xCaPz I do, every time I go to the range. I don’t make videos though. I suppose basic training in the 1980’s was like coming out of the womb. Times change. Cheek to stock weld with tip of nose on charging handle. Front sight centered within ghost ring, no hazy pictures, get a crisp post within circle. Don’t chicken wing your firing arm, it doesn’t need to be cocked up. Hold firmly, comfortably and slowly squeeze the trigger with the very tip of your finger.
Really need to start turning out more Colts! There are not nearly enough on the market today. Are y’all making any pistols at this time? I also heard you were supposed to start making the AR-15 for civilians again. Are these going to be made to try to keep up with demand?
Being picky on precision,it took me hours to adjust 1322 irons. No clicks or clacks on it,it's shoot, adjust, repeat until you can hit bottle cap at 22 feet.Pellets 14.3 Hollow point...
Ok you just made this Difficult. What I did, When I was new. I watched a lot of videos of how I was pulling the trigger wrong. I put adj. Sites on my Colt Combat Elite .45 and my Colt Defender 9mm. I bought a cheep gun stand and Zeroed in. Then free hand shot. Then adj. To compensate for the Bad trigger pull. As I got better I slowly adj. To Zero in. IT WORKED FOR ME! P.s. it took 1000 rounds!
Hey Colt, I used to proudly wear my Colt tshirt!! But now since you caved to the left, I will never buy another one of your products again! The only reason I bought a Colt M4 was because I used one in the Army and liked it and wanted to support a company who supported me. Not anymore, I will buy anything but a Colt from now on and that is why I built my own M4 and got rid of yours. Made money too so thanks for that lol. Who do you think buys your products? People who want to disarm the nation and make us like other countries? No, WE THE PEOPLE that’s who!! And yeah yeah we know what you said about the contracts with the military and police, but we all know why. Good luck with that.
Could you guys please respond to my customer service email concerning your defective product? Or are you not in customer service anymore. Have only given you several months to respond.
Should’ve made this for the Python since you’ve been sending Pythons out to people with no sights on them... also where is my Python? It’s been 7 months
I actually have my father's 1911 45 Government ☆Model☆ COLT Automatic Caliber .45 and the other side has; COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CONN. U.S.A. The frame only has that I can see is a 5 digit serial number which is 9***8 no other stamped or engraving that you normally see like manufacturer.city.state ser#b1234567.
The Colt 1911 I have has the adjustable rear kensight but the set screw was stripped out, I removed it from the slide and was able to drill it out and remove the set screw. Now I need a new set screw and really don't know where I could pick up a new one.
