Cool truck JW! I believe 3/4 T of that vintage would be JB6 or JB7. Meaning large brakes and that’s a light duty master cylinder. Nonetheless, great looking survivor that somehow escaped a Mr Pickup bumper(manufactured in Moore, OK and sold throughout the heartland) but found a Western Auto for the hood cap and door lock guards!
They might have made several K20 trucks, good luck finding one that is original and in that kind of shape. So, I would call it a holy grail for this day and age.
We live about an hour from McAlester and I’ve heard about this truck. I think Mr. K had a surveying company some years back if I remember correctly. Seems like he had some neat tractors too. My wife graduated HS there; her dad worked at Big Mac before he became deputy warden nearby….big ole prison riot there back in ‘73. Home of the prison rodeo. This was also where Ron Williamson (baseball standout who made it to the majors briefly) was imprisoned, subject of The Innocent Man…one of John Grisham’s only non-fiction novels. The Netflix series has a different name.
Old Heritage Chevrolet. I met Dale Earnhardt Sr. there in the early 90 to mid 90's. Been to the car lot back in the day, Gonna have to come over across the river and check y'all out again. Love the content
that rear bumper looks just like the one that came on my '86 k20 suburban.. my dad bought it from local chevy dealership brand new before i got it feom him and thats what it came with brand new but i was told it was put on locally because it needed something that had a better tow rating than the c10's
I saw 15k miles on your last vid and thought it looked really good. Now you say its 115k and it looks that good? Wow! Unlikely to find another one! Frame is spotless for 115k+
@@jeffselin5340 yes 15 K on the odometer, but these had five digit odometers so really no way to validate mileage when people claim these low crazy miles I can almost attest that 90% of them that mileage is fictitious. This one we know that it is not it is documented and proper 115.. that’s the part that is impressive. Somebody cared for this beyond reality for sure.
seen some newer jeeps , rams trucks etc , with spotless frames never drove in the rain , winter , long as one does not live at the beach , never went down a dirt ,gravel or muddy road
I’m not into labels on classic cars n trucks because they tend to be overused and misused. I have a documented 70k original mile 85 GMC Sierra Classic 3500 regular cab long bed 4x4 special ordered that I bought off the original owner. Has the 454 with the turbo 400 that was never worked and garage kept. Have all the paperwork and the owner kept a diary since new with every oil change, part replacement with the mileage and date. Has the Dana 60 front diff, dual tanks, batteries, oil and transmission cooler, maker lights with tailgate lights. Has most of its original brown paint like the Fall Guy. I think it’s unique, rare to find a 1 ton that was never worked. Idk if you want to call it a survivor, rare because not many left in original condition. I don’t plan on selling it. Been offered $40k for it. IDK. Anyone in the comments feel free to call it what category you all think. I’m not claiming it to be anything but I am very happy with it and feel lucky to have it because I can’t find one anymore and I have seen them selling for crazy money. I paid $5500 in 2009. . It would be interesting to see what you Square body lovers think. Thanks👍
Oklahoma truck with 115,000 miles and that clean underneath 😮😮 it looks like it only have 15,000 miles.❤❤❤
Agreed it could pass for 15k for sure

We definitely agree

This is a nice truck.the person who owned this took great care of it
It sure is! Rare to find one that's been loved like this one.
I’ve never seen that rear bumper before. Def not oe. Which were made by fey
That's a beautiful old chevy truck they were great vehicles
That’s a sweet truck I had to subscribe! I like your style! Ya Holy Grail was the right word! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

The condition is even more impressive considering 100,000+ miles
Exactly we should have elaborated on that part
@@DavisOffRoad1 What do you think you could ask for that truck if you do decide to sell it? Just a guess
Great Truck wow.
As you can tell the boss man is pretty stoked about this one! Funny when he gets excited about one like this
Whatever you call it- the truck is amazing. I have a 19’ 2500 that doesn’t look as amazing as that. They just don’t make em like that anymore
@@elgroucho7563 they sure don’t and thanks for the compliment
nice I like the 4speed all the new trucks are crew cabs see a few 3/4 ton 8 ' boxes but very rare same with new single cab short beds
I bet square body models with the Silverado trim level & manual transmissions together like that one there are tough to find these days.

I would take that '83 over any new truck sitting on that lot.
We agreeee that’s why we left driving it lol

Gotcha another word for it ,time capsule , man that gets that, gets something, in my opinion
Yep that’s a good one too
But time capsule also means it’s been tucked away and this one has not it’s actually been operated and used
@ well used but not abused
What a beaut! I'd be curious as to what the axle ratio is. Seeing how it is a 3/4 ton with the sm465, I'd guess a 3.73:1 or 4.10:1.
I would take that truck over any GM truck on that Chevrolet lot.
We sure did lol
What state are you in ? I’m in the middle of redoing a barn found one now 👍 what’s the price ? Sweet truck
Richmond, Virginia but this one is currently not for sale Davis auto sales is the website for what we do have for sale
10mpg. I checked mine today
All go past f when full. But if it’s at 3:00 there’s a problem.
She a pure creme puff, very nice...
What gear ratio?
Black Betty
💪💪
I paid $12,100.00 for my 1987.
Sounds about right whole Lotta truck for the money but at the same time that was a whole Lotta money back then
Any price yet? thanks
Isn't that a 83 84 grill should have turn lights in bumper too.
both my 1984's, i have '84 c10 & k10 suburban & the turn signals in the bottom outer edges of the front grill
Sport bumper
Sweeeet!!
Awesome Classic
