Fun Fact: The song wasn't written for the show, only the lyrics were. The track's actual title is "Platinum Gun" and it's from an album called Spy vs. Spy.
The website the album's on appears to be under the ownership of Nelvana. I think it's more likely that they just repurposed some of the music from this show to be used as stock music.
This song and it’s reprise are creative masterpieces and leak with political and biblical analogy’s. Leo represents the even changing trends of society and this is shown by his attention seeking life style and focus on looks over personality, spending his time trying to gain popularity and validity from women and his peers. This begins to change however as the ark of the episode continues, giving Leo Luster true insite into the lives of the Kong’s living below him that he had not once thought of how he treated. Realizing this and his wrongdoings he has a change of heart but before he could fix what he had done he was kidnapped by K Rool. Like the Abrahamic figure Moses in the Bible and the Jewish Torah, Leo’s lavish and worldly lifestyle begins to change as he comprehends the future that awaits him that he has the duty called upon by God to rescue his people (the Kong’s) and lead them to the promise land (Kongo Bongo Island). The epic that is the Donkey Kong Country TV series ends on a impactful and influential moment, with Leo repeating the same line that Abraham uttered millennium ago, “let my people go”.
2:20 If I had a nickel for every time the Donkey Kong Country TV show referenced the Bible, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
Leo Luster taking all hair products and gaining super mojo is one of those memories I needed to convince myself was real. I now wonder how much of my family's shampoo I subconsciously wasted as a small child in pursuit of this power.
@@generalvic8250 Over seventy percent of the character animation in the series was produced using performance capture.[5] Two performers were required for each character; one performed the character's body movements, while the other used hand movements to control the character's face.[6] The limitations of the technology used meant that actions like picking an object up could not be produced with this method and had to be keyframed.[7] This process allowed the character animation of one episode to be completed in two weeks, as compared to the six to eight weeks keyframed animation was estimated to require for the same length. Nothing is saying that Leo Luster in this scene was specifically Keyframed.
No wonder the abridged series made so many jokes about Candy being for the streets. Shes one of those love interests who emotionally cheats on her lover every other episode

Platinum gun is leo Luster's stand
Honestly makes me wonder how many of the songs featured were not meant to be for the show since a lot sound really different from the usual BGM
Kickass!😉
i can't believe how fresh some of the songs in this series were. This and "Eddie, let me go back" are ridiculous
Those, plus "Monkey Business" and "Diddy Drop Rap" all go off unbelievably hard
And "I'm nobody's hero"
This cartoon got some sweet tunes, still fun to watch.

ah man this mush really *is* magic!
This guy is what happens when you put all of your levels into persuasion in video games
Remember someone had to Mocap this, with tech from the 90s
Sadly no, Season 1 was mocap but season 2 changed it to keyframe animations.

The definition of a charmer.
Illumination's second mario movie needs bluster Kong in it, and he should sing an epic living tombstone remix of this song.

Holy shit, yeah, I just realise he flirted with Krusha, and Krusha clearly recuperated. Donkey Kong country the show is more diverse than I thought.
