      Yesterday my cell phone, while in my pocket, randomly brought up directions to Syntaur. (which was actually less than twenty miles away) So I checked their YT channel and, new Fairlight episode on the way? Yes!

    Great to see this project still going, it's been a long journey, both figuratively and literally. lol
    Also good to see the trip to the homeland of Fairlight.
    I remember watching the Jean-Michel Jarre concert on VHS, around 2014, with my parents.
    Little did we know that Joe Hammer was there all along.
    RIP, Joe.

    Oi from Norway, Chris!
    I found one of your episodes while watching some Syntaur Synth Wizards episode, and decided to jump back to episode 1. What a journey! I've watched the whole thing in 3 days. 3 years of work condensed down to 3 days, quite mad. I sincerely hope you will keep doing projects and make lots of videos about them. Your maniac laugh, all the blunders, the whole deal. It was an amazing series. And you met my childhood hero, Jean-Michel Jarre too! I was 10 years old when the Houston/Lyon concerts came out on VHS and Cassette, I've been hooked on synthesizers ever since. The size of those voice cards, man what a piece of engineering the Fairlight CMI was. The Fairlight was always this mystical beast to me, the sound of JMJ's Zoolook album, and Miami Vice. I've learned so much more about how it operates now, thank you :)

      @CrisBlyth หลายเดือนก่อน

      wow ! a lovely comment and by the sounds of things we’ve had some similar experiences with JMJ, Zoolook and the Houston concert.

    20:18 You might want to check those automatic subtitles, "clips" got misspelled as a somewhat rude word.
    21:25 John... Mishel... oh dear.
    22:45 Oh, *that* Houston! (the preview didn't make it clear) (followed by two minutes of my favorite JMJ music)
    35.40: 1 x 4 x 9 ! It's the Monolith! And it is most definitely an absolute unit.
    Even with a few loose ends remaining, this all has still been one heck of a ride.

    What a journey Chris! Thank you for taking us along with you, it's been a bumpy ride, but your enthusiasm and warmth has really shone through. Not only have you a working CMI now, but an amazing insight to it's working, its development and the incredible people and stories behind it. Oh, and a bunch of good friends to boot.
    The party in Aus lifted the project to a whole new level too, bringing it to a piece of genuine music industry historical importance. It couldn't have been more timely, with the sad death of Joe Hammer, a very special moment to see the Fairlight gang enjoying their company.
    Would love to see and hear more, but realise it's a time consuming excercise to put these things out, it's all been appreciated!

    One of your alleged employee, who may be a service technician for your company, boasted on a FB page that he had numerous vintage synths when he was 17, including a Memorymoog, and even a tattoo when he was 12 (which is weird), in a very off-putting way. He had multiple people telling him that his gear is not what makes his music any good and he is a snob. This man might be able to fix synths, but he is not all OK in the head imho.. Beware of this bearded, tattooed 23ish years old man you may employ, don't let him ruin anything in your company or damage PR. I hope he is just an unrelated troll, in that case disregard this message.
