"Pyrotechnic" build? Mage+shotgun, stack base turrets, strange books, and the burn propagation items( scared sausage, snake, eye surgery).
Books boost turret damage, basic turrets can inflict burn, and overall if you get a bunch of t1 turrets you could clear the entire map without much traveling
