    Meet Alyson Williams: Emmy-winning vocalist, radio host, actor, and philanthropist.
    Alyson Williams is a multifaceted talent, recognized as an accomplished entrepreneur, philanthropist, and radio host. Adding to her many accolades, Alyson was awarded an Emmy for her outstanding performance in "Legends Unite For St. Jude".
    Born and raised in Harlem, Alyson's journey has been a testament to her extraordinary abilities and unwavering passion for the arts. From a young age, Alyson was immersed in the world of music and performance. Her father, the renowned Jazz trumpeter and bandleader Bobby Booker, served as a significant influence, igniting her love for the stage.
    Determined to perfect her craft, Alyson studied dance under legendary figures such as Arthur Mitchell, Alvin Ailey, and John Lewis of the Modern Jazz Quartet. She also became a part of the Institute of New Cinema Artists (I.N.C.A.), mentored by icons like Ruby Dee, Ossie Davis, and Cliff Frazier. Her internship with Benny Ashburn, manager of the Commodores, kick-started her career as a background vocalist, collaborating with luminaries like Melba Moore, Evelyn Champagne King, and Kurtis Blow.
    A pivotal moment came when Alyson caught the attention of Def Jam label CEO Russell Simmons, becoming the first female R&B artist to sign with the label. Her association with Def Jam resulted in two albums on Columbia Records' "OBR" label, with her debut album "Raw" spending an impressive 67 weeks on the Billboard charts and achieving gold status in the UK. The album produced four top five singles, including the sultry hit "Just Call My Name." Her self-titled second album featured tracks produced by Al B. Sure and Babyface and further solidified her status in the industry.
    Never one to rest on her laurels, Alyson ventured into theater arts and dance, starring in numerous stage plays across the country. She pursued Broadway and earned roles in "Rollin on the TOBA," "One Mo Time," and the "25th Anniversary Revival of the Wiz," directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner George Faison.
    Following her success as a recording artist, Alyson turned her entrepreneurial spirit towards creating her own opportunities. She collaborated with award-winning producer Marcus Johnson to release her third solo album, "It's About Time." She also founded her production company, A.W.P, A Woman's Prerogative, enabling her to write musical stage plays, books, television treatments, and produce concert series.
    Alyson's journey in broadcasting began as she embraced her communication roots and became an on-air radio personality on WHCR 90.3 FM, hosting "Love Notes with Alyson Williams, In The Chill Zone." Her show featured notable musical guests, including Chaka Khan, Nancy Wilson, Freddie Jackson, and more.
    One of Alyson's most cherished experiences was being mentored by the late Dr. Maya Angelou, who fondly referred to her as the "Song Bird," and at the request of Dr. Angelou, Alyson sang at many events worldwide.
    Alyson's captivating personality and enchanting voice have garnered the attention of dignitaries and celebrities like First Lady Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey. Ms. Winfrey personally selected Alyson to perform for African students on a United States college tour.
    Throughout her career, Alyson has made iconic appearances on shows like Soul Train, The Jay Leno Show, BET on Jazz, and the Mo'Nique Show. Her acting talents were showcased in the Fox Searchlight Pictures film "Black Nativity," where she starred alongside Academy Award-winning actors Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, and Jennifer Hudson.
    Alyson's philanthropic side shines brightly as she mentors children and young adults, working in the public and charter school systems, and offering vocal coaching and artist development training to emerging talents.
    Alyson's drive to explore new horizons and create opportunities remains unrelenting. She is currently working on a Jazz project titled "Summer Nights in Harlem," a gospel album, and various other musical projects. Additionally, she's venturing into the realms of jewelry design and inspirational notecards.
