    Just brought this and it’s the best screen protector for my iPhone 12 Pro Max

    I've used onn screen protectors on all of my cellphones. Their screen protectors have saved my note 10 + with a direct smack on the corner of the bed frame, though it did leave a very small gouge in the screen, it prevented total shattering. Used it on my mothers S20 and it saved her phone from shattering from a head height fall at the grocery store. A few more falls at work with the note 10 + and onn has just been a great quality brand for screen protectors. Easy to install and will definitely save your phone from real world drops, scratches and dings.

    I like these screen protectors. They do a very good job at a cost well below $45.00, or $72.00. Your friend, Jeff.

    They are even better appointed now. I got one for my Iphone 12 mini July 23, 2021, and it came with everything PLUS a tray that the glass fits into and the phone drops down into to align everything automatically. No guess work at all. All ya gotta do is press down on the middle of the glass from the back side of the plastic case.
    Now for the caveat: You MUST be very sure that the glass actually transfers onto and sticks to the phone screen. Mine did not and I thought it was magically thin. Lol. Until 5 minutes later when I tapped the tray and noticed it was sticky. Oh snap! I cleaned the phone again and re-applied the glass. Crap! there was a dust spot now stuck on the glass. It took me pressing down on the center of the glass while peeling the plastic tray away from the phone until the glass actually came free from the sticky strips on the tray. I cannot notice the dust spot and time will if it affects the functionality of the screen protector.

    So I bought one of these onn protectors for my iPhone 12 mini and a zagg hybrid glass for my iPhone se 2020 and I’m pissed the fuck off. The cheap onn was simple af to install. Just drop the phone in the tray, place the other tray on top and press the glass on. No bubbles and full coverage. The $30 zagg doesn’t cover the entire screen, is peeling, and has a bunch of stretch marks between the glass and the screen.

    • @The177Hunter
      @The177Hunter 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@terryfredrick5149 yep. Fits so well on the iPhone 12 mini I can’t tell it’s on there unless I look at the camera notch. And no scratches or anything. Just try to get the Onn protector in the metal box as it has the easy apply trays. The cheaper one only has tabs to align it.

      The entire point of having a screen protector is so the protector breaks before the phone does. Film protector really only helps with scratched and I find those have a weird texture. Glass is also much easier to install over the film type

    2:33 What if you had a (1/4 inch?) wooden dowel in your teeth right then... You line up the protector perfectly perfectly with your fingers gripping the tape, but then make initial contact with the dowel directly in the center of the screen -- once you touch, you can let go of one piece of tape and take over the dowel with that hand. I presume going in a spiral pattern from the center?
    BTW, to any noobs: I wouldn't do that with a plastic screen protector -- it would probably scratch it. Maybe put a cotton ball between the dowel and the protector...?

    So now that it’s been a min, what does everything think of this screen protector now?
    Just this onn. one for cheap since I cracked the center my 3rd ZAGG Invisibleshield for iPhone 11 in just over 2 years. I normally purchase the Invisibleshiled at Best Buy for around $30 and have one of the cell phone guys install it for me (I’d recommend this btw they always apply it perfectly and it’s complimentary). I’ve been more than satisfied with the product but it’s getting quite expensive.
    But I work and photograph on roofs with my phone so protection and visibility is vital for me.
    How’s the durability of this onn. protector? Are the viewing angles of the phone screen worsened by it? How does it compare to a more expensive one?
    Any feedback is much appreciated 🙏

      I tried several brands and they all seem to come up over time and not be sticky or crack. I don’t use one anymore as the iPhone 12 Pro Max I have has gorila glass and it’s been okay without one
