    Down trodden ?
    I was medically retired in 1975 with a mental disability. I couldn't, and didn't have any conversation with another human being for 40 years until May 10th, of 2017 when God healed me. When I could control my own thoughts, I saw for the first time what had happened to me. I was hurt angry and disappointed. I was screaming, crying angry everyday for over 6 years , imagining what my life might have been , if I had had an opportunity to have a life.
    For almost a year now, I suppose I'm almost "normal" , but beat down by life at every turn almost every day I've lived, so I'm not very optimistic about the "wonders of life" I'm going to experience at 72 years of age. Even if I was , I can't join any conversation about BS , so I still don't talk to anybody.
    It's great to meet people with similar life experiences. There aren't other people on this planet with a similar experience.

    Solid advice. Its seems way too many TH-camrs give bad advice selling a dream. After visiting SE Asia several times its about 1/3 the price of a Western Country. If it takes you $6,000 USD to survive here then expect to pay $2,000 in the Philippines. Then expect a $10,000 to $15,000 setup costs to get into a place, moving, scooter, cooking items, furniture, etc. Sure if you don't mind living in a bamboo hut and no indoor plumbing you can live for $600 and listen to roosters at 2am and fight bugs at all hours of the night. Otherwise expect to pay $1,500, $2,000 to $2,500 month depending on location and lifestyle. Then if you have a family or girlfriend that price jumps up by another $500 to $1,000 month. Its easy to see how someone that believes they can live off $600 or $800 month goes broke especially if they get a woman pregnant.

    • @metalmike570
      @metalmike570 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Well the TH-camr Warren Redlich says his condo is $700 month there. I have a feeling that is 100% spot on. You're showing US prices so I don't buy all you information.
      If a dude goes there and gets a lady pregnant I agree with you 100%, game over.

    • @franciscoaguilar123

      @@metalmike570 When you have a $700 condo and then start adding in food, electricity / air conditioning, scooter, internet, eating out, entertainment, cleaning, insurance, phone, etc. you're going to be getting close to $1,500 real quick. A lot of expats eat out almost daily and their food / coffee / bar bill can easily be $400 to $600+ month then electricity is expensive and can be $80 to $150. Just add in all the expenses and you'll understand that $1,500 is not that much to live on the Philippines and exactly why all of these people go broke. Its very easy to spend $2,000 or $2,500+ if you want to have a fun lifestyle plus travel some.

Breaking News, guys: that ain't reality for most guys. There might be a few (5%) who win, but the majority will experience a slog of life (kid$, relative$, hou$e)--not a dream scenario, and some will experience disaster. I've been living overseas for 4yrs now and have seen first-hand guys going broke. Guys on TH-cam selling this idea that you can live in another country for a $1000 per month is a lie. There are two ways you're going to go broke. The first is a woman. Funding a woman's lifestyle has and never will work. And the second is not knowing how to budget. You have to live below your means. I sit down with my wife every day at 7pm and do a daily budget. We know what our daily limit is. It's easier to make up ground when you do a daily budget rather than a monthly budget.

    talking about disabled vets and sayiing...you'd never know it to look at them...is apallingly ignorant. The emotional trauma of combat, can not be overstated. Just lost a sub for that one

    %0000 in a High yield covered call etf can generate about 1000 a month in income. But your not guaranteed that amount. It could go up or down depending on the stock market.

    • @ShadowPrince-r4f
      @ShadowPrince-r4f 9 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Hey, with these kinds of ETFs, the price is more likely to drop faster than the yield you're getting. And then, you know what happens? They cut the dividend payout. A simpler and safer option is to go with a 40/60 split between BND and SPY, and withdraw 4% a year. Trust me, it's a solid plan.

    • @wolfe5047

      That is an option also but will need more than 50000 to get 1000 a month average income

      Depends on what you want to do. Are you a hiker that wants to visit the mountains? Or would you rather kick it on a beach somewhere? Are you looking for a companion or something else? I've done a little of it all but I'm also generally spending my time at historical locations and eating all the delicious food!
      Either one, I'd at a minimum look into a guide. Not because you'd need one but because they're generally cheap. Most of the country speaks great English... But I feel like a guide would help with some of the things majorly(as far as transit, jeepneys, food, and general travel).
      It's a great country. So many things to see and I've just barely scratched the surface. I didn't experience much culture shock during my visits but there are some parts of the country where lifestyle regularities are different from America in major ways.

      ?? Watch a lot of TH-camrs. Then go take a trip for as long as you can afford / handle. Food can be terrible. Main thing is to see a divers number of places. You can leave in a modern secluded western bubble like BGC or Mac Newtown, or you can live amongst the people, but in a relatively westernized place in general Manila or Cebu, or you can live in a much more traditional Philippine neighborhood, etc. touristy islands are very different than non touristy islands, etc. boots on the ground totally required for proper assessment.

    Sir, I understand that these are your opinions , my comment pertains to you saying veterans are coming over there and appear to be okay and they're receiving disability. If you've never been in the military, you don't know what type of injuries that person may have, so please refrain from making those types of references on veterans!

      Yes that was an insult to our veterans. I wasn't in the military but I have a high respect for them. May be he is a telepathic doctor 😂

      @@Ego-Kills yeah, or maybe anyone who was in the military knows that they encourage you to game the system. Guys in ph or thai on 100% disability are doing iron man competitions, drinking like they're still 21, and buying prostitutes 2 at a time.
      You can support the troops without supporting theft from the American public. (Though if I was the one complaining, I'd be more worried about the massive graft inherent in the for-profit defense contractors/corps.)

      @@genericchannel5899 USA military, US pension office and doctors know better than you. What qualifications do you have to judge or accuse them of fraud? Did you check their medical record? Come on bro, don't pass judgment

    • @genericchannel5899
      @genericchannel5899 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      @@Ego-Kills All I know is what my retired friends tell me. "100% disability" status doesn't necessarily have anything to do with current bodily ability. There are even private companies that you can pay to get your disability status increased. It's often very shady.
      But I'm not casting judgment on those who actually got hurt and need the help. I hope they get all the assistance they could ever ask for!
      Like anything involving government, there's too much room for the liars and politicians to bleed much-needed programs dry. And that hurts the people who actually need and deserve the assistance.

    Part of the problem is that in America it’s so hard for the younger generation to meet, interact or date with any woman these days. They just don’t have enough experience with women bc of social media. Doesn’t matter where you go, if you don’t have enough experiences with women you’re going to get rolled. They know what they’re doing in every country. You need experience no matter where you are or where you go.

    Lots of men that go to S.E. Asia failed to achieve any success in their own country so they think they can move their failed operation to a lower economic environment and succeed. Western women of any SMV will not take up with a basement dwelling loser very long even if he is physically attractive because men also need to be able to provide wealth and status to women. Women in the west typically only pursue the top 10-15% of men on the dating sites even when the woman herself is a 5 or less. Most men are therefore invisible and as Asian Women are exposed to more of these losers it is only a matter of time before they raise their standards also. No high SMV woman should accept any man if he only has a social security check or in the case of the younger ones a low income.

    If you want to maintain your higher standard life style, you need at least $2M. Even 100k meant nothing. Younger generation think they can roam around on a low budget. Too much deception on social media. It ain't what you've expected.

      Do you mean 2 million dollars? Only about 2% of Americans have savings (investments) of that amount. 80% of retirees (wealthiest subset) in U.S. have 200,000 or less. Ap. 50% have only SSI.
