Overtone Purple for Brown Hair | DID IT WORK?!?

I have been wanting to try this color conditioner for a while now so I thought I give a tutorial on the product and my thoughts... last year I went purple done by a professional & loved it so I had to do it again!!!

Your original color is very close to my natural color. Thank you so much for showing the before and after -- I think I may actually take the plunge knowing that it looks so good on brown hair!
Best hair hack I’ve ever learned is to frame your hairline and neck line with vaseline it wipes all color off your skin!!

It came out great! i love overtone, have done purple, pink, rose gold, green LOL! i have a dedicated towel i use and wash it by itself afterwards, some colors come out of it completely and it's got kinda perma-dinge/stains from other colors.
Right after I finish with putting dye in my hair, i use makeup remover wipes or baby wipes to remove dye anywhere I accidentally put on my skin.

Did you wash your hair with shampoo or did you just rinse the color out? I want to get a darker looking color like yours
@@kathrynfutia9453 I washed with shampoo! And only washed maybe once a week since my hair is able to go that long and made the color last longer
Sorry for all the questions but this was just the purple for brown hair and not the extreme purple right? I keep seeing results for them both and I’m hoping mine turns out more like yours did

How long did the color last overall?

Hello, thank you for the video! Quick question: Does it stain your pillows at night or clothes after is dry?
Sery Chip Hi, of course! So I was worried about this too and I have white sheets on my bed so the days I washed my hair and if it was still wet when I went to bed a laid down a towel on my pillows just in case so I recommend that.
Once it’s dry i never saw stains on anything of mine!! just be careful when you sweat I stained some hats from working out but not a problem for me.

Hello, my highlights are similar to the bottom half of your hair and I was curious if the purple completely fades out to your beginning color or not. Thank you! You looks great!
Hi!! So from my experience it will not completely come out, just fade alottt you would then have to either dye a different shade using Overtone or go to a salon or at home dye whichever you prefer!
It also depends on your hair. Mine washes out completely

Gabby Valai Official I was worried about that and cautious to begin with, so I sleep with a dark gray towel on top of my pillows the nights I washed my hair so it wouldn’t bleed onto my pillow cases but when my hair is dry nothing bled and I have white bedding! Hope that helps (:
Hi!!! Are you using the toner conditioner? Or just following your normal routine? And if you’re not using the conditioner toner does the color is faiding out quickly? Thanks 💜

So I’m actually not using the toner conditioner to like “keep up with it” on my hair the color has stayed pretty well and has faded a bit to a slight dark pink shade, but still pretty, not like a bad fade. (Hope that makes sense lol) I just follow my usual routine with natural shampoo to maintain color

Hi! you definitely can still add the color!! but will only be visible in direct sunlight. You wouldn’t be able to easily see it in doors

I did put it on my roots just to makes sure everything blended correctly! But it’s not noticeable on my natural dark roots
Don’t know if you’ll see this since it’s an older video but I was wondering how long the color lasted you? Did you use any products to keep the color longer?

For about 3 months I still had a good pigment in my hair wasn’t exactly the deep purple I started with but still a nice color (like pink/purple in a way). & products wise I continued using a natural shampoo with no stripping ingredients so the color would last longer!! Then I would recommend staying away from salt water or chlorine water if possible to keep color longer because those will strip the color as well! Hope that helped (:

In my opinion it won’t completelyyy come out... you would have to color over a faded color.

Charlene Grasty hi, on my hair it hasn’t faded much I currently still have the color in. Bleeds out during every wash, I wash my hair once a week. My hair current looks like dark pink now not a deep purple anymore. & doesn’t completely wash out but there is safe bleach free home remedies to remove semi hair dye. Hope that helps!(:

It says 15 mins but you can leave it in longer. It really doesn't make any difference, but a lot of people like leaving it in longer.

I wash my hair with shampoo and color stays in for a good while and won’t completely wash out it will continue fading
Just rinse the first time you apply it. After that just wash it with a non sulfate shampoo to keep color longer.
How bad did it stain your bathroom? That’s the only thing holding me back right now lol. My bathroom is so so white and I’m extremely nervous about it being a purple disaster 🥴
Vanessa Cardenas not terribly!! It’s manageable & the first wash is honestly the worse then after that it will bleed every wash but slightly. I would say just keep up with the cleaning with bleach or some shower spray so it doesn’t stain overtime 🙂

Will the purple hair work on black hair?
So what I’ve seen from reviews that on black hair it would just deposit a small shade of it to were you could only see it in the sun! But definitely it’s more noticeable on lighter hair!
@@YvetteGutierrez as for purple hair I would only be doing more like highlights not full purple hair at my job every one has been exploring different colors some good other bad my hair right now is grey on top next black hair the bottom part would be a Auburn color from my last hair dye

I was just wondering how much of the product you used for your whole head? I was looking at the website and it recommended purchasing 2 jars of the color conditioner which seemed like overkill for shoulder-length hair.
You will have plenty with one jar! I have thick hair and one was enough I even left like a quarter of it for touch up like two weeks later.
How long did you leave it on for ?
