This needs to be a real television show. George Oliphant is a true gem, who loves his job and these families. This show is not super over-the-top like Extreme Home Makeover.
My cousin Davey had Duchenne's. He was also a poster child at one time for the Toledo area. When we found out he had it we ran and rode bikes like crazy knowing eventually he would be in a wheelchair (which he attached an electronic sounding horn to to get people out of his way...it was the 70's and 80's...he had places to go and people on foot in his way 😁). He actually managed to live to his mid 20's....roughly 10 years longer then the doctors said he would live. He even went to Owens Community College. Thank you for sharing this. 💙 Love you....miss you Davey
Becca Wildel, my cousin David had Duchenne's at the same time period!! He only lived to almost his 21st birthday, which was his goal. He had many broken arms and legs because of being a boy in a wheelchair with wild and crazy friends and many adventures to live. I miss him.
When that Dad hugged George, you could feel his relief. Such a nice family! Bless them! Edit: I've never heard or seen a designer speak with that much emotion. Says a lot about him!!!
I'm so hooked on this show! I accidentally discovered it, laying low with the flu. I hope a million more people discover it! George is a giant kid. OH, what I'd give for a home makeover!!! No disabled kids here, though. Just me with a wonky back (for 40 + years)and bad knees. I used to be a Plant Operations & Maintenance Engineer for Kaiser Hospital so my body took plenty of hits. But I USED to do a LOT to my 1st house in Calif.!
The Family who got the Gift of this Fabulously Beautiful Comfortable Decor By a gorgeous designer who has special relation ship with George superb episode little boy may you live a happy life with not too much pain you are a sweetheart.
That wee boy is sooo cute. Lovely Smile, but full of mischief. Them 3 make a good comedy act. Hope they have a happy life in new house. Love from Val in Glasgow Scotland xx
My heart breaks and it tears me up for Ethan because I do have muscle contractions which is so painful. Although I don't think it's anything like his. God bless this family and George to the Rescue may God continues to bless all your endeavor both work wise and in your private life. ❤❤👌👌👍
My grandson was diagnosed at 4 as well. There has been a lot of home renovation going on here as well. The worst is watching him deteriorate, not being able to be involved in a LOT of things he should be doing as a child. Wishing the family well and prayers for the boy.
Such an amazing thing George has done for them! Just wondering if anyone with this disease has ever tried the medicinal route? At least at night time for the pain!!! This poor child or any child, should Not have to go through this! We put humans on the moon, why can’t we do More for these kids?💔
What parents go through with a child in great need of help!!!! Their sacrifice and love is so heartwarmingly compassionately filled with LOVE. And yet their smiles are so sincere and respectful to all of them. Like they have no pain in their daily life. Good and patient parenting. George and crew you are sooo so special people.....goood going......thanks for teaching me what I didn’t know about this illness.. good luck family...
The Demmers family is so deserving of the remodel. Ethan is a special charismatic boy who is battling an awful opponent - Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy. But he has a lot of people on his side - “Ethan’s Army” - who have worked tirelessly to raise awareness of this condition and raise money to find a cure and better treatments. The fact that GTTR helped them in their journey to ease the burden of getting them in their new home is awesome. I was at the reveal and the home is beautiful. It was not complete at this filming so you didn’t see the other spaces or handicap accessible entry during the show. And to the 70 people who gave this show a thumbs down, why?
Wow.... beautiful and they will need all that space when the little boys condition progresses... hopefully he will have quite a few more years before that happens ❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧
I am totally in love with George & the teams :) I watch the series every morning before go to work, get inspiring and just Wow, give me so much positive energy to get through the day. I love to see each family getting their new home. George & the teams, you such having a God's hands :) Having magic wands, this is truly AMAZINGLY AMAZING.
Steve whenever George says he needs the best guy I know you're the one he's going to call cuz you're awesome and thank you so much for being a big part of Durga show thank you Steve
OMG, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Tyler Wisler. AND George, when these two get together you KNOW its goona be GREAT. Love George to the Rescue. Thank you to all the amazing sponsors, volunteers, and crew that make this show possible. You all are REALLY AMAZING.
TylerHodelinVideos George, I’m in very desperate need for yo Ur help. We need some up dating bathroom. Take the tub out and put a s How’re in, new toilet. I tell my husband there. Is mole. Around the shower. We both are handicap but our home is not. Wouldn’t mind some handicap help. We are drs, fixed income. Willing to help you. We just need some help. I love watching your show. We live in Michigan, St. John’s . Hopefully that’s not to far to be able to come too. Thank you. Christine Leavitt.
I only know 2 people with this disease and they are both around the age of 20 (don't quite know. 18-21) . Its nice to see that ethan can still walk etc, but kinda depressing to know how fast duchenne muscular dystrophy progresses.
The haters need a kick! Dystrophy is horrid. A friend's daughter has a form of it and never able to walk. She's a teen warrior with great fighting spirit. This little boy seems to have it too.
Beautiful Smile this lovable little boy . Enjoy the comforts to ease your pain .Lovely family Best designer of the Series Always Elegant .Colours you never tire of , design with comfort.
My wife and I employ ADT to look after our properties in South Africa, it's expensive but for peace of mind armed guards regularly patrol. They are fully alarmed by ADT and they do a great job. South Africa is a very dangerous country, although nothing is foolproof, at least we have some degree of protection. Highly recommended.
Some good touches/choices BUT the wash basin in Ethan's bathroom was set back from the front and at 20.43 you can see he had trouble reaching the taps, what's the point having that little edge at the front (much better basin comes right to the front)? Would that slso be a problem if later he had to use it from a wheelchair?
I tend to agree with you. Style over substance. In my opinion they should have installed either two sinks at different levels or one wide low one that a wheelchair could roll under in due course.
@@sammic974 yes, so often these designers choose things that look nice (in their opinion) rather than functionality = stupid! I've seen them put so many non-user-friendly sinks in bathrooms & kitchens - best they've never tried to USE them, and not just once but every day! Then add on mobility problems, bad back (e.g. height of basin to clean teeth) = totally unsuitable, I think they should ALL receive proper training (and ask users' opinions) if they haven't got common sense!
We are big George to the Rescue fans. We just caught up to this episode. The design was beautiful. However, the designer said that soapstone is high maintenance. This is not true. It is nearly maintenance-free, which is why we picked it for our kitchen renovation 3 years ago. And, it is a wonderful baking surface, as it stays cool. Julia Child had soapstobe counters.
I love the fact they change designer cause we discover really good one ! And 1 episode right i found 1 bad one and was really disappointed. But 1 for 10 right now is nothing. They do good job for great cause 👍
Aaah dewalt tools and it’s one of few things that my ex didn’t get and I kept because I had every receipt for every machine I bought, and my manky dog. PS, the dog always growled at you because he saw you for what you really are, a right pain in both of our arses
That must’ve been one of the easiest because it was so open everybody can do their own electrical any pipes that gotta move through walls. It was all open way cool
When you see Tyler or Fanuka on the project, you know it will be beyond beautiful... 😍
Can we just give Tyler a moment and appreciate his looks, zest, personality, and skills? He nails these designs all the time.
"If I was an octopus I would give 8 thumbs up" - too cute!

Bravo to these parents! Yay, Fanuka! To all of negative Nellies, Grey has been the most popular color of the last few years. It’s totally on trend.
