You’re probably the only one who could make me think I could pull this off! Well, I did it! If it weren't for your genius, there is no way I could have pulled it off. I just kept going, trusting that it would work out, and it did! It's so pretty!!!!! I used a 4-weight yarn and a size J/6mm hook. Next time I will use a thinner yarn and maybe a 6.5mm hook. The hat is so thick that it stands up like a bowl. Sadly, it won't fit my big head. But I love it and I'm determined to find a use for it. I feel really proud to have been able to make this. Crystal, I am a good crocherer because you are my teacher. I can't thank you enough!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
As soon as I saw this video I went hunting in my stash for suitable yarn and found I didn't have any. So, I went on Amazon and ordered some that was delivered this afternoon and now I am half way through making this hat. 😁

Amongst the Stars hat written pattern
Abbreviations:
Sc = single crochet (US term)
sl st = slip stitch
Notes:
This written pattern assumes you know how to do the jasmine stitch. If you don’t know, be sure to watch a tutorial and learn that first before diving into this pattern
To count puffs at the end of each round, count only the puffs around the outside of the circle
At the beginning of each round, starting with Round 2, move your stitch marker to the eye of the puffs you just made at the end of the previous round
At the end of each round, including Round 5, the final puff of the final set will always go in the eye AFTER the stitch marker
Round 1: start with chain 2, create 1 puff in back bump of first chain, *make set of 2 puffs*, do * to * 4 times total, end round with set of 3 puffs (6 puffs)
(Time to place stitch marker in the eye of the puffs you just made)
Round 2: make set of 2 puffs, *set of 2 puffs, set of 3 puffs*, do * to * 5 times total, end round with another set of 3 puffs (12 puffs)
Round 3: set of 2 puffs, set of 3 puffs, set of 2 puffs, *set of 3 puffs, set of 3 puffs, set of 2 puffs*, do * to * 4 times total, *set of 3 puffs*, do * to * 3 times total (18 puffs)
Round 4: set of 2 puffs, set of 3 puffs, set of 3 puffs, *set of 2 puffs, set of 3 puffs, set of 3 puffs, set of 3 puffs*, do * to * a total of 5 times, end the round with another set of 3 puffs (24 puffs)
Round 5: set of 2 puffs, *set of 3 puffs*, do * to * a total of 22 times, set of 4 puffs
Repeat Round 5 until hat is the desired length
You can end the hat with a row of jasmine stitches, or you can add a band to the bottom
Optional band:
Band Round 1: Chain 1 (does not count as a stitch), 1 sc in same space, (which should be the eye of the final set of puffs from the previous round), 1 sc in the top edge of the 4th puff, sc in the next eye, 2 scs in the top edge of the next puff, *1 sc in the eye, 1 sc in the puff, 1 sc in the eye, 2 scs in the puff*, repeat * to * around to the beginning of the row and sl st to the first sc
Band Round 2: Chain 1 (does not count as a stitch), sc in same space, 1 sc in each sc from previous round, repeat all the way around and sl st to first sc
Alternately you can place a stitch marker in the first stitch from round 1 and complete band in the round without slip stitching
Repeat Band Round 2 until band is desired length, cut yarn, tie off, weave in ends
