I'm 62 and will be 63 in March, I love to crochet. I make Queen size afghans, prayer shawls, hats, scarfs, and one top. I love making this hat, it turned out great and I love how it looks. It was great fun making it.

I started crocheting in March 2022. Taught myself via TH-cam tutorials. By a wide margin, you’re my favourite tutorial to learn from! Thank you 😁❤️

Thank you for this crochet pattern and I really enjoyed it. I’m using up leftover yarn to make beanies to place on our churches Christmas tree that we donate to the homeless. This gives me another pattern to break away from monotony. You’re a great teacher.

Wonderful hat pattern!!! I love how mine came out!! I did not use a solid color, I used a very dark camoflage verigated #4 , I stayed with the crochet hook sizes you used and I could not be happier!!! I don't reccommend that a biginer use varigated yarn especiallly a dak varigated yarn only because they will get very confussed!! I have been knitting and crocheting for about 65 years, My grandmother started teaching me to knit at age 3 and whenI wass almost done with my first sweater at age 5, I went to grandma and asked if she would teach me crocheting!! I learned how to do a backward crochet on the opening of that sweater and after that the world of crochect was born!!! I bought every book I could find on both knitting and crochet!! I learned how to read and understand most all the directions for almost anything I wanted to make!! The one thing I never did crochet Were hats!!!! But now at the age of almost 80, Ihave gone wild doing as many hat designs as possible!!! I find that most of the time I want hats for men but depending on the color ways you can use them for women!!! I find you to be an awesome teacher and very easy to follow along with!! It took me about 4 hours to make this hat, because I had to keep stopping every now and then just to give my hands a break!!! And my eyes!! Please do more hat designs!! Thank you so much, take care and stay safe, Vicky from Michigan!!!!!

Very easy to follow! It really helped that you meet back up with your watchers at the end of each row. Your extra tips showed me mistakes I've been making for some time. It also helped me when you pointed out the different stitches, such as the chain stitches, the double crochets... I think I finally understand the stitches, now. And on top of your wonderful and upbeat instructions came a gorgeous hat! Thank you!

I went ahead and fpc around the chain 2 and the actual stitch the result was a tad thicker front post but the overall effect is a more uniform pattern. Love this easy pattern, after the initial walk through I was able to make a second hat in less than 2 hours. I also finished with a round of half double front and back posts. Very nice. So I am making my 3rd hat in this pattern, following your tutorial. (making hats for gifts!) I had just made a hat watching a different person's tutorial, as I liked the pattern. The difference between how you instruct a person through a pattern, and how others do it is night and day. You provide every detail of information that a person might need, which is so helpful. The other tutorial lacked so many details that it was a highly frustrating experience, and hard to make myself finish the project.... I've been crocheting for a very long time, and appreciate what you do here on your channel. Thank you!!

Love this hat I have made it three or four times and this final time I doubled my Mandala ombre using a smaller hook for the first round then a K hook for the rows of double crochet and shells. I did two rounds w/one dc in space. I did 2 rounds with 2 dc in spaces. And 4 rounds w/ 3 dc in spaces. Then I followed your directions for the brim. I added one single crochet of a single strand of yarn at the end to keep it taut.

Thank you very much, as another viewer stated, you are so specific with what you do and you explain things so clearly, even though I have made a lot of pieces and have been crocheting for years, but this video I came across today was by far the easiest one to follow. I just wished I had found this years ago when I didn’t quite understand how to follow instructions. I love the way how you show where to place the slip stitch and where you should end the last stitch, everyone should be able to follow your videos without getting confused. Thank you

I have wanted to make this beanie for ages but kept putting it off because I was worried I would mess it up. then I discovered you, Craig, on TH-cam. Thank you Craig for your clear and calm instructions I look forward to more of your tutorials. Spring is approaching now in the UK but it will keep me warm next winter

I love and enjoy your channel. You are wonderful. I am a Spider-ette of yours :) I am trying to upload the pictures of my hats . I have other items I've made and have to upload them to the correct video. I so appreciate how you go the "extra" mile and do another, row or round. Please keep doing that. You are such a joy. You go boy!!!! Sugar your Spider-ette

I have been crocheting for over 20 years. I have pretty much stayed with the simple patterns that I first learned. However, watching this video I am inspired to do more. You are SO easy to listen to and your little one liners crack me up. Thank you so much for your pointers and guidance. I can't wait to see more of your videos. Thank you!!!

Thank You for showing us how to make this beautiful hat. I really like the way you explain each step so thoroughly. I need the stitches or spaces pointed out the way you do it. Sometimes verbal directions just aren't enough. Your patience is appreciated. This is going to be so much fun!
