I actually think that the crash and fall detection is because the watch wasn’t unlocked and on an actual wrist so it just thought it was just being put on or something.

The reason the fall detection didn’t work is because it only turns that feature on if you take the big fall then don’t move for a bit versus just throwing the watch and immediately moving again. Doing that makes it detect you are ok and doesn’t activate it
