    Okay I had this beer as of today . It’s not that bad at all . I would buy This over Budweiser & budlight !! I still love rainier but this is up there . Price & alcohol by volume. Can’t beat it . 🙌🏻

    Always an enjoyable beer. It must be popular here because it used to be with all the other 24/25 ounce value lagers at 99 cents but the store I go to has raised the price of this specific beer to 1.19. I don't get it much anymore because I can get Natty Daddy, Ice House Edge, Ice House or Genesee Cream Ale for 99 cents. I get it sometimes when I go to Walmart because it's the cheapest beer they have.

    • @ronaldtheriot
      @ronaldtheriot  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's usually the case- as the popularity rises, so does the price.

    Having a natural ice now and missing Keystone Ice. Speaking of glass vs can, have you ever thought of doing a blind test of a mass produced beer to try to guess which one is from a can or a bottle? I have a sneaking suspicion that there would be no discernable difference, especially given the amount of quality control these big brands probably go through. Might be a fun video! Cheers.

    Hi Jay ,not a bad beer imo. Personal fav however is high life. Interestingly , in Canada, bottled high life is imported while the canned version is brewed here, by molson Canada. I feel the bottled tastes better (and it costs less).

    Natural Ice in a tulip glass seems a bit odd imo. Im guilty of a similar 'crime' myself as I recently had Miller High Life in a tulip. However, 9 times out of 10 I'll drink these macro beers from a pint glass, mug, or from the bottle/can. Its just occasionally I like to mix it up a bit with the glassware.

    • @ronaldtheriot
      @ronaldtheriot  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm the same way, and sometimes it is fun to put these types of beers in a nicer glass.

    I love to see you do a blind taste test with Natty Daddy vs. Abita Andygator which you have mentioned in the past. Also, I wish AB would make a batch of ND with dark malt and could call Natty Daddy Midnight. I would be a buyer.

    • @ronaldtheriot
      @ronaldtheriot  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ronaldtheriot Thanks for the reply. I think you would have more impact because of TH-cam channel. The trend towards blonde ale and lager wouldn't support AB brewing this kind of beer. Still, I would love to see it. CHEERS.

    I'd like to try this in the bottle if I could find it, but for the price we get 30 packs of it on sale, I suppose I can't complain too much.
    Ice beers puzzle me quite a bit, I'm curious why no one has taken the process past the 5.5 or 6 abv range in either direction (ignoring eisbocks). Using Natural ice as standard for calories/abv, they could make a light beer with less calories than Natural light or, or a 8% beer that is maybe 10 calories more than a standard 5% abv beer like Budweiser. Especially compared to the MolsonCoors 8% abv beers are comically caloric compared to their competitor Natural Father. Like Icehouse being a name started for selling ice beer, but the "EDGE" was a traditional high gravity malt liquor at 215 calories. I believe lablatt max ice is also just a standard malt liquor unlike it's ice originator.
    Perhaps I am using faulty math or it might just be more profitable to just use more or less ingredients for those categories than the ice process or they would interfere with already existing, more profitable product lines.
