Ron, I love all of your videos! I can’t tell you how many evenings I’ve spent an evening with a beer in my hand watching your reviews. You do a great job of explaining all details of the beer you’re reviewing with a guy next door demeanor. Keep it up! Hope to make it out to Louisiana one of these days! God bless you my friend.
Thanks for the review man, ever since you said this was your favorite ice beer, I have tried it now (as I am a new beer drinker, just turned 21), much love from Knoxville! PS: my father went to LSU, so besides the vols, LSU will always have a special place in my heart. Go Tigers and Go Vols! Love your reviews man, keep them up, they make my day that much better!
You are absolutely right Ronald!!! You pour beer the correct way. I myself spent so many years drinking straight from can/bottle that I actually like a little more gas in my beer, so I pour mine with just a little slant. Great review like always. Always love your non-biased reviews!!!
Once again, you are correct brother!!! A man from Anheuser Busch told my dad that Natural light and Busch light are the exact same beer. Likely, then, it would be the same for the ice also.Good Job. I am having one of these right now.
Oh, it must be just for the light varieties then. He got that straight from the brewery. I have never had Busch Ice, so i will take your word for it. Thanks for correcting me on that.
I have to disagree with you this time, for my father actually spoke with one of the brewers at the St. Louis plant. He told him straight up that it is the same, EXACT beer. Also, when I was at the New Hamphire brewery, the guide told me the same thing. So unless they are both lying to us, and I see no reason they would, I have to take the company's word for it!!!!
This is not supposed to be public knowledge of course, but my dad has a taste for beer, and it turns out he was correct. Sorry. The brewery in New Hampshire confirmed it, but again, they don't want everyone knowing this of course.
I just picked up a 6 pack of this today. It is almost always in my fridge, along with Torpedo. This ice lager is smooth and refreshing. I will always buy it.
I think it's is excellent. This beer has only 4 carbs and only 130 calories with 5.9% alcohol. And yet has a solid sweet beer taste and a clean finish and is not overwhelming with an alcohol taste. It's pretty remarkable for low priced beers and for people who want a bold flavor, strong body without all the calories and carbs of extra strong beers. This is the best of the best.
I've liked ice beers since their introduction. This is my favorite mass produced beer. Really it's a light beer with punch. Respectable abv., and only 150 cals and 5 carbs. Great freezing cold, very poundable, interesting and easy flavor, and cheap. No need to apologize for liking this beer, Ron. Shows you can appreciate all beers not just craft brews. Want to drink beer but not get a disgusting beer gut? -- or go broke? -- and catch a little beer buzz? Here's your beer.
Great review Jay, as always. I had a 24oz can of Natural Ice yesterday and then later a 24oz can of Milwaukee's Best Ice. The Natty Ice was my favorite of the two. Awesome can collection, especially that can of Carling Black Label!
I haven't had one of these in a long time now & it might be worth revisiting, I see the bottles all the time around here. Malt liquors have never been my thing, Natty light on the other hand always has.
love the reviews as always man. Got Two 25oz. cans for $2.75 here in Chicago. pretty damn smooth and digging the 5.9% alcohol for a quick buzz. Cheers! diggin the setup too all those comics and classic beer empties.
I am currently on a trip in NYC and this is my first American Ice Beer, although I am generrally a craft beergeek and mostly a hater of macro brews I must admit it is quiet refreshing and has a nice soft flavour. I probably try Keystone too as local cvs had it in stock few days ago. On the other hand Coney Island Brewing company has some amazing beers like - Merman IPA which is a great fusion of new england and classic IPA.
I am glad you are having a good time and trying interesting beers, Karol. I think many Europeans would enjoy American ice beers! Have a good and safe time!
For whatever reason. 25oz cans and either the 32 or 40oz bottles taste the best for Natty Ice. Right now alot of places here have lowered the price to around $1.75 for a 25oz tall boy. Cheapest place atm is Price Less Foods where its $1.62 per 25oz tall boy. Get 4, that's a great deal these days.
you know you getting a like from me on this beer! I keep this, icehouse, or keystone ice in my fridge all the time! Great review bud! keep up the good work
I agree with that, Boston B., but some guys have this self-esteem or ego issue to deal with. And, seeming to be an erudite gourmet helps them feel special and feel as though they're impressing people.
I understand that, but I was talking about comments I've heard people make when criticizing a beer, saying, "Well, it just tastes like beer". That's what they said, not me.
Would i be crazy to think that this is the best American style lager available in my opinion?? If all American lagers were the same price more times than not this is what i would buy
You talk about this and Busch Ice being almost the same. Here in southern Alabama we dont get Busch Ice but i had it once in North Carolina and from what i remember it had a lot of the same qualities but it seems like the Busch didnt mask the alcohol QUITE as well. But they are very similar
It's a solid beer. A lot of strong beers are off putting. This is not one of them. It's actually pretty tasty. No way this could be considered bad for a strong beer. On a taste basis, it's quite nice. It doesn't load you up with heavy sweetness nor any tin can taste that many Malt Liquors have. If you like American lager flavor, it should suit you well. If you hate American lagers, then this is not the beer for you. It's a strong American beer that taste like an American beer without anything off putting. Has a mild flavor that is nice and really good. It's a good beer. The "bro's" need to learn to enjoy a good taste regardless if it's macrobrewed.
Natty Ice never disappoints. Found Natty ice in 16oz cans and it taste just as good as the bottle. Natty ice is very different from Icehouse and thats a good thing. The first time i tried Natty ice i expected it to be at or near the same level as Bud ice. Boy i was proved wrong. Hope to find this along with Milly B in 30pk. Loved that spin at the end. Thumbs up!
ron, got a question for ya... what is better in your opinion.. keystone ice or natural ice.. by the way a big fan of yours and drinking a natural ice but want to venture in keystone ice, but the stuffs only sold in 30 packs here for 15 bucks?
I cannot say that I have had Natural Ice recently. I have had Natural Light...and I thought it was pretty good! Had a couple different Ice beers this week. Genesee Ice, Icehouse, and Beer 30 Ice. It is definitely a specific taste. Not something I buy regularly.
Ronald, as usual a fine review, ive been trying to catch all your reviews, I found you not to long ago and I will stay with you till I read all your beer reviews, as I mentioned before you and dave are the only true reviewers, rate beer, the bros and the beer in me reviews are a bunch of snobs, none of them has a clue what the American worker likes, so please keep telling it like it is, I may not always agree with you but I know your telling the truth Bill
This is why you're my favorite beer reviewer. Completely unpretentious, you seem to enjoy American style lager unapologetically. I enjoy them as well, but I've noticed those in my age group (mid 30's) are into the craft beer trend. That's fine & dandy but they also like to snub those of us who like the big brewers.
Alright. Let's see it. Do a video of your can and bottle collection. Your videos show it off but I want to see it and I know a lot of other people want to too!
Great review as always I think your the best beer reviewer out there I do like blue collar beer reviews as well though idk must have a thing about cheap beers I'm a cheap date what can I say lol
Let's face it. Beer advocate is not the best place to get honest beer reviews of this style. When you're used to paying 10.99 for a 6 pack, and this beer can be bought for $10.99 for an 18 pack, then that would lead many of the craft beer enthusiasts to assume this is a cheaply made crappy beer. It's not. It's good if you like American Adjunct Lagers.
I can drink the "Natty Ice", my Cousin called it "Liquid Cocaine" when he used to drink, I would try the Busch Ice but unavailable in my area, for some strange reason. I shall check around. Natural Ice is a HUGE seller in my area, no doubt about that. Cheers Ron
0 out of 100? That would be so bad that as soon as you took a sip, you would spit it out and begin to gag violently. That's just ridiculous!! Leave it to Hatebeer.
so ronald have you tried dixie blakend voodoo ale from new orleans ...its a really good beer i live in las vegas orginally from bolixi Ms i thought it was crazy when i found it at a local liquar store here in vegas its a pretty good beer you should do a reveiw on it
Still in my infancy of beer drinking I have haven't really tried any mainstream beers (other than one Bud Light that my wife bought a case(!) of. But based on your review I might try this one. And even though this has nothing to do with this review...if you can get your hands on Prescott Brewing Co's Liquid Amber I'd be very interested in what you think. I wanted to send you one... Another great beer review. Enjoyed the tour and your personal spin on things :0)
A true Beer lover appreciates EVERY beer for the fact that it IS beer. I do realize that this is a comment FULL of holes as some beers are worse than piss... For that reason I actually think Red Stripe's slogan is the SINGLE BEST ever conceived in the beer world. "Red Stripe. It's Beer! HOORAY BEER!" Indeed...HOORAY...BEER!!!!!!
"Beer that taste like beer"...in my opinion is a misnomer. More like "a lager that taste like lager". American adjunct lagers taste like American adjunct lagers. Beer is a relative term. They do not taste like non-adjunct lagers, they are similar, but have less bitterness and less of a barley malt flavor than Grolsch etc. Adjuct lagers are typically rejected by craft brew drinkers due to the ingredients are chosen to reduce flavor and produce alcohol without adding flavor.

Another great review of a good beer. Would like to send you a couple of PA local craft beers to review. It is a startup brewery called Neshaminy Creek. Interested?
Wow! The thumbnail TH-cam picked for you makes you look angry. I also get the 22 oz cans in my area usually for .99 a can. Which is why I buy it every few weeks. Under a buck - can't go wrong!
great review ron....screw everyone that gives this beer a 0....it is a great BEER..BEER BEER..BEER ...BEER ...BEER ..BEER.it taste like a good BEER..why cant all these hop head beer snobs admit they like beer..you know they do..many of them are as old as us..and you know there first beer was a BEER..and they liked it..
That is awesome! I surely do appreciate it!
Also, even aggressively pouring down the middle, it STILL is carbonated well! These guys know what they're talking about!
+Jeremy Ewing I certainly agree with that.
Thanks for the review man, ever since you said this was your favorite ice beer, I have tried it now (as I am a new beer drinker, just turned 21), much love from Knoxville! I think if you contact Anheuser-Busch, they will absolutely state that each of their beers are of a different recipe.

"For a budget beer, this is the best of the best."
Couldn't agree more.
Excellent, man!
Yes, it's a modern classic, Bucky!
Thanks for showing us around the "man/beer cave a bit." Are there any videos where you show this room more in depth. It looks really well done!!!
Oh, I don't think any videos show that.

That's bizarre.

Awesome can collection, especially that can of Carling Black Label!

Yes, it has different flavors and aromas from traditional malt liquors.
I miss keystone ice. That was a great beer. Now I buy this one. It’s not bad.
I also miss it.
That's the way I feel about Icehouse, TasteThePainbow88. Thanks so much for watching!
I haven't had one of these in a long time now & it might be worth revisiting, I see the bottles all the time around here. Malt liquors have never been my thing, Natty light on the other hand always has.
We can still get the bottled version in Baton Rouge.

7.99 a 15pack! I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this before, but this is a bargain and I like the taste. It is what is is: great for style.
The price has gone up, in my area, sadly.

ron, got a question for ya... what is better in your opinion.. keystone ice or natural ice.. by the way a big fan of yours and drinking a natural ice but want to venture in keystone ice, but the stuffs only sold in 30 packs here for 15 bucks?
I vote for Keystone Ice. Thanks for watching, mark smith. I appreciate it!
I can accept that. Natural Ice isn't for everyone.
I cannot say that I have had Natural Ice recently. I have had Natural Light...and I thought it was pretty good! Had a couple different Ice beers this week. Genesee Ice, Icehouse, and Beer 30 Ice. It is definitely a specific taste. Not something I buy regularly.
It's been a long time since I've seen Beer 30 Ice.
I think you should, Hollenthon!
You should check out Natural Ice, RonD.
Sure. I'm very interested, wattoclone. Thanks!
I find those other website reveiws wrong cause i actually dont mind natty ice every now and then
Yeah, I think it's enjoyable.

I enjoy them as well, but I've noticed those in my age group (mid 30's) are into the craft beer trend. That's fine & dandy but they also like to snub those of us who like the big brewers.
Yeah, I don't get all this snubbing of people, Simon. Thanks for watching. I sure do appreciate it!
Thanks a lot, Roger. Well, I might run across that Prescott beer. We get so much stuff in the New Orleans area. It's incredible.
Alright. Let's see it. Do a video of your can and bottle collection. Your videos show it off but I want to see it and I know a lot of other people want to too!
I don't thank my collection is really too impressive. It's nice, but not awesome.
I don't think I've ever had Natural Ice. I've had Icehouse, Bud Ice and Milwaukee's Best Ice though. Maybe one day I'll try it.
Did you ever try it? Thanks for watching, Raven Black. I appreciate it!
Never had Busch Ice..no matter it's redundant to this product I'm guessing
You guess, right.
@@ronaldtheriot well actually you said it! So ya
Natty is my second favorite ice beer after Milwaukee's Best Ice. Icehouse would be my favorite ice beer if it weren't only 5.5%.
How about Keystone Ice? Thanks for watching, TasteThePainbow88. I appreciate it!
Great beer
Gretta Bramblett I'm glad you enjoy it, Gretta Bramblett. And, I appreciate you watching!
To me, Natural Ice is better, but just a tiny bit better.
Great review as always I think your the best beer reviewer out there I do like blue collar beer reviews as well though idk must have a thing about cheap beers I'm a cheap date what can I say lol
Thanks, so much, and I appreciate you watching, Ocean Point Plumbing!
How do you get the caps back on those bottles? Or are they unopened bottles?
No, I just carefully reverse-screw them back on. Thanks for watching, BEER865. I appreciate it!
He's not an idiot, for sure. He just has certain ideas about the beer industry, and I don't agree with some of his opinions, as it concerns that area.
PS love the collection.

To compare the two, from memory, I find Natural Ice has a bit more bitterness/crispness to it than Milwaukee's Best Ice.
Otherwise extremely similar to Milwaukee's Best Ice. I do not like Bud Ice, for whatever reason. Was unpalatable to me.

It could be the case, but I guess one would have to do a detailed study to be sure. Whatever the case, they're not very nice in their approach.
I like it, but Busch is still the best!
There are certainly the Busch loyalists, out there, Rusty.
The bottles are a pain on the ass to dispose of...loud and bulky..that's y I buy cans unless it's an event or special brew that I feel needs a bottle

Yes, people should do what they want to do.
Wow! The thumbnail TH-cam picked for you makes you look angry. I also get the 22 oz cans in my area usually for .99 a can. Which is why I buy it every few weeks. Under a buck - can't go wrong!
I bought a 30-pack, today, and I was not angry, regardless of thumbnail.
Drinkabilty it definitely gets a b+ to a-.
I agree. Thanks for watching, Samuel Brown. I appreciate it!
Whats up with the pelicans there getting wooped right now
Well, they are just outclassed, now. That's a good price, too, by the way.

That's exactly what I do. You're right, a great price/value.

I think my problem is that I was only able to try the New York-brewed Molson Ice and not the Canadian-brewed one.
