This is so wonderful! I’m looking after my 90 yr old Welsh neighbour, and although he’s mainly English-speaking with Welsh heritage (like me), he does say hello, goodbye, goodnight and thank you very much to me every day - usually in Welsh. I’ve been feeling terribly guilty that I barely know anything in Welsh to say back. All I know is the National Anthem, Calon Lân and the long-form of LlanfairPG. Plus a few curse words my cousins taught me when we visited! So these lessons are terrific as I can now just say a few short phrases back to him. Diolch yn fawr :)
Glad to help.
I love these videos. So well set out, the perfect amount in one lesson and easy to follow with a warm and friendly host. Thank you Will!
I decided to learn welsh a couple weeks ago, and have been using these videos ever since I found them. They have been so helpful. I decided to learn Welsh because all my forefathers are from Whales. You can see the heritage in my name.
Stephen Branley Stop being so triggered, it was a simple mistake.
Good to see you back. I'm quite enjoying these lessons & was beginning to miss them when I didn't see an update for a long while. Hope to see more soon, especially since I'll be spending a good amount of my summer in & around Wales.
These videos are brilliant - diolch!

Diolch yn Fawr, Will! :)
Thank you very Much!
How do you pronounce Country names? If you cant do that, can you do Numbers? Thanks Will!
Love the videos. But just can’t remember them. Hard. Is there a way to remember them better?
I know what you mean. I sometimes try to link them to English words. For example "Gyrru" (to drive) sounds almost exactly like "Curry", so I imagine the steering wheel as a plate of Curry, etc. Otherwise it's just repeating them over and over until they stick.
Will Huw ok great. HEDDLU is not too bad. Driving through Wales you get free lessons with the dual language signs. But don’t know how to pronounce. ARAF. YSGOL. Although I know they mean slow and school!!!
Will Huw, what is the picture behind you called? The one with 4 people that looks almost like a photo?
I've never actually given it a name. It's a painting I did based on "the Billy Boys" by jack Vettriano.
Are all your Welsh lessons for the North? What about the South?
What can I say, I'm a gog 🙂
Welsh words are spelled the way their said
