@@colinrobinson1960 im sure the local economy is missing the tourism. For the weeks that the tattoo is running, the performers are there even earlier rehearsing. Hopefully next year...
@@colinrobinson1960 I was in the middle of that mob playing the pipes. Makes the hair stand on the back of your neck as you march out of the castle after a Tattoo performance. What an experience. Thanks for posting and bringing back incredible memories... glad you enjoyed it!
After the virus bs is over and the next Tattoo I really want to go. My sister was very lucky she went to the uk and while over there she actually went to that very Tattoo, I’m jealous of her. But till then I’ll just have to hang on and probably force dad to play his pipes, maybe one day I might learn or learn to play one of the drums.
Hi Jamie Lee thanks for watching hope you get here it is a great event as far as we know its definitely on this year so far hope your dad keeps on playing the pipes
when our friends who played in the pipe band mum recognised som off them and mum and i chatted and we just enjoyed the pipers playing a lot off great tunes then gone to the park and had fun all afternoon
Oh les images me rappelle mon séjour à Edimbourg, premier voyage en avion j'en garde un très bon souvenir Edimbourg est une très belle ville j'aurai aimé y rester plus longtemps j'adore
Probably just looking for anything that's been dropped, by a 'performer'. If you drop something there is not much chance to stop and pick it up (everyone around you is marching and would all fall over if you stopped suddenly)
Mr Grumpy what's wrong with it, this is entertaining and the public love it and have done for years. I was born in Edinburgh, my father joined the Royal Scots before the war serving over 30 years ending with the rank of Colour Sgt., and he never moaned when it was done. The chanting is a million miles from Morris dancing
I was lucky enough to perform in this tattoo in 2012. One of the highlights of my life, for sure.
Hi thank you for watching it was great to hear Al the bands coming down from castle unfortunately this year's 2021 has just been cancelled

I am now a member of one of the bands. I am a newly recruited piper of the Tasmanian Police Pipe Band. Best decision I’ve made! 😁
