@@colinrobinson1960 I was in the middle of that mob playing the pipes. Makes the hair stand on the back of your neck as you march out of the castle after a Tattoo performance. What an experience. Thanks for posting and bringing back incredible memories... glad you enjoyed it!
After the virus bs is over and the next Tattoo I really want to go. My sister was very lucky she went to the uk and while over there she actually went to that very Tattoo, I’m jealous of her. But till then I’ll just have to hang on and probably force dad to play his pipes, maybe one day I might learn or learn to play one of the drums.

when our friends who played in the pipe band mum recognised som off them and mum and i chatted and we just enjoyed the pipers playing a lot off great tunes then gone to the park and had fun all afternoon

I was born in Edinburgh, my father joined the Royal Scots before the war serving over 30 years ending with the rank of Colour Sgt., and he never moaned when it was done. I am now a member of one of the bands. I am a newly recruited piper of the Tasmanian Police Pipe Band. Best decision I’ve made! 😁
