You want a galaxy brain method of getting a lot of decent ammo early on? Butcher sells hollowpoint rounds and other rounds good for hunting for the best prices in the zone. You can buy loads of 9x18 hollowpoints and then break them down into their base parts and remake them into anything from 9x19 to .357. This goes for his 5.45 hollows as well. He also gives the best prices for basically everything he sells and is always worth stopping by to restock on any useful kit like sharpening stones or coffee.
The guns like that TOZ-34 with the green arrow are upgraded so you may want to keep them around or at least check the upgrades when you get tools also butcher sells cheep ammo so he's good to go to for shotgun and 45 rounds.
Dave if you want a bit more forgiving time , talk with every stalker you see and eventually you're going to stumble on a squad that you can hire to protect you. It's well worth doing.
If you start as bandits there is a recurrent (daily?) mission that basically gives you 3 squaddies to run with, for as long as you want. You also have a sequence of 4 connected areas (dark valley/truck cem/AW/dead city) with allied bases and strong friendly presence in each. Probably one of the easier starts if you don’t mind squad management
I found a large bolt in street last week and couldn't help but think of this game XD
I found Ecologist is petty much baby mode. Geared to the teeth in no time, killing Legendary stalkers like flies.
Clear Sky as well. Best place to get 5.56 early game.

Love this series, it's actually the driving force to me trying out stalker GAMMA and I'm having a great time with it. Very nostalgic for me.
So there's an old sci-fi movie called "Screamers" and I wonder if it inspired the anti-radioactivity cigarettes.
No, it was an actual soviet myth started after the chernobyl disaster, same with vodka lol.
The death in this intro is absolutely hilarious. lol

Will be trying Anomaly later today. Then maybe next weekend try GAMMA.
