    Rory is a big deal for people who entered the ad industry. I left a while ago after realising truly creative and insightful figures like him were few and far between, and the industry is actually more concerned with wokeness than artistry and meaning.

    • @souxcasa
      @souxcasa หลายเดือนก่อน

      What made you think the address industry would be concerned with artistry? It wouldn't be my first thought. Is there something about the education for the career that makes you believe that artistry would be respected or expected?

    In Latvia they fixed Taxi price gouging by having the having a simple formula (miles, time, surcharge) and mandating the price be listed on the tax's side, usually the passenger door.
    I think you're free to make up any price you want, but because it's clearly advertised, prices quickly settled on two or three standard values.

    I think people pay extra for courses rather than books because of the 'buy in' mentality.
    Think gyms are similar, most people could lose all their weight at home from simple nutrition fixes, a jog and a few bodyweight exercises.
    Reminds me of Tim Ferriss's loss aversion strategy, use expensive or embarrassing punishments to force positive habits.

    The psychology of irrationality, upon first thinking about it to me, is that, one who is unaware of their inputs and thus blind to their outputs. Starts with awareness?

    TikTok is a fairly full video editor that fits in your phone, linked up to your social media and the TikTok website and everywhere else too now, fair to say. I make videos with rather big Da Vinci and my main thought is that this tiddly but basically complete video editor that is so easy to use, this technology to hand, as it were, is pretty impressive in Itself but I am interested in the implications. I think it means that this and future generations will be literate in video and more and naturally express themselves in this way, for better or worse. For many it is easier than text and typing. For many it is a way to assert oneself far more compellingly upon the world, because you can bring your body and face to the party, and any other props you feel might enhance your image or message, just like that. I have a friend who makes these things and was a little disturbed at the quality of her productions; on the good side. I have to work my arse off to make a [successful] and polished video, she does not, is one thing I notice to my chagrin. Her product gets polished automatically. And some people use their phones to make actually very good videos. It seems good. It seems democratic. It seems like a serious redistribution or making free of some kind of wealth. It seems especially suited to what is vain, facile and stupid though because of its convenience and ubiquity. I think it might be a fairly major step in the evolution of human communication but worry about the size of double edged swords.

    Slightly perverse, theoretically speaking if rampant consumerism/other is about women being the gate keepers for sex does that mean that rampant consumerism/other is higher in countries with higher premarital sex and divorce rates?

    In Israel voting is on paper and there's no such nonsense as machines doing the counting, or counting done without observers. In fact the whole thing is observed by people from multiple parties.
    Not none, not one, not two. Multiple.

    Hate to correct you, but 100% of women are going for the top 10% of men. The Pareto principle is flawed when it comes the intersexual dynamics

    • @wheelz314
      @wheelz314 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, 100% of women WANT the top 10% of men. But that bottom 10% of women, at least, aggressively go for the lower tier of guys. They're very aware of their own rating, and know what rating of guy it's possible for them to actually get. And don't forget about the 1% of nasty and/or damaged chicks that will nail anything that moves. But certainly everyone, male and female, strives to get a partner of as high caliber as possible.

    Fabulous and entertaining however I hate the belittling of pork actors he’s analysis of porn is so funny it’s clear with his physique he’d never be a full participant of or relevance too porn in any form so his critique is null & void . It would be like a eunuch in a harem see all and do nothing unless he’s on a corpulent boys site lol 😆 his intellect ,whilst monumental, is not superior and has as many negatives as positives just sayin’

  • @wheelz314
    @wheelz314 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's become fashionable to characterize Trump as a bumbling oaf who stumbled into the presidency largely by luck. Well, let's see... the guy's a multi billionaire; has a worldwide real estate and construction empire; had a hit television show that ran for many seasons; he became the president of the world's greatest country by defeating the most entrenched, long-running dynasties in US politics; he implemented policies that greatly reformed a damaged prison system; he helmed the US economy into it's greatest period of wealth and prosperity in modern history, and perhaps ever; his policies brought about record highs in the stock market, and record lows in unemployment in the US; he brought companies and industries back to the US, bringing with them massive numbers of jobs; he helmed the US to being energy independent, and actually being a net exporter of energy fuels; and helped negotiate at least four unprecedented, historic peace treaties in the middle east. And he did all this while being incessantly under siege from both the mainstream media and the deep state, weathering hatred, threats, and unfounded accusations of scandal and corruption from the moment he announced his candidacy.
    If that guy is a dope, then what does that make the rest of us?
