Congratulations on the baby! I do the mini, wordle, and connections - surprisingly never got into spelling bee! The third book in the fourth wing series just got announced - Onyx Storm coming Jan 2025. So excited, I want to make an Andarna/Tairn inspired pair of socks.
Wordle is my favorite,I do the free spelling bee and words with friends. Congratulations on being a Mimi, the best experience EVER you will be in a new love that’s different forever. My first grandson is 29 and he is still as precious as the first day he came to us. All the knits are wonderful! Enjoy you ladies 😊
Mazel Tov, Lori on becoming a Mimi! I am a Bubbe, but I think I chose the name because I have such fond memories of my own Bubbe. Thanks for another wonderful and informative podcast! I teach color theory and must comment on the green/blue debate. Everyone agreed that the pure green was green. When green and blue are mixed together in varying proportions, for example to get colors in the aqua to teal range, it is common for our eyes to "see" the individual hues differently. Blue and green are "analogous" or next to each other on the color wheel and blend well. Often the value (light or dark) plays into this interpretation. Ok, I will take my professor hat off now.... Hope to come to RI soon!
Congrats, Lori! I got a good laugh on the Fino order. As you were showing it, my thought was “Huh, I should give the shop a call”😂 saved me a phone call!
Your videos are perfect! Chatty like a knit along w/friends, but so informative too! Congrats on new grandson! Also, I saw your recent NEVER NOT knitting in RI upload, Justine! You really committed to the sweater~keep going on those sleeves! ❤it!
Lol, good thing I had “just” a smoothie to drink while watching 😮 Oh my goodness Justine after you said how the balls were placed horizontally instead of vertically, that was all I could see for the rest of the podcast behind you!! Makes total sense to have the same colour vertical for knitters to grab, instead of horizontal where all the display gets messed up when on bottom colour is grabbed. Big Congratulations Mimi. I am a Gigi, and too couldn’t see myself being called Grandma……it sounds so “OLD” 😂
Another great podcast! I would come in a heartbeat if I didn’t live in Canada. You always make me laugh - you 2 are so good together- I love everything you knit and wear! Like most knitters I wish I spent all my time knitting- I’m retired so I do knit a lot but my knit list is growing growing growing!!!
Just happened upon your podcast. Lori, Mazel Tov on the birth of your grandson. I happen to be the first Grammy in my family. I’m only a fair knitter but love looking at the advanced projects. Love your Striped Triangle Wrap. I would love to knit a shawl and socks! PS your yarn looked blue to me!
Congratulations, Lori! Becoming an “Oma” has been absolutely and truly transformative and unexpectedly joyful. Just amazing! Justine, recently went to an island (Caribbean)and had zero issues with ANYTHING related to my yarn, hooks, needles, SCISSORS, etc. ZERO. Both directions! I was not a fiber gal when we visited punta cana tho. ENJOY! ☺️🫶🏻🧶
OMgosh, he is beautiful!!!!! congratulations to the whole family!!! Oh no.. Justine, that is awful, glad you are ok! How scary is that!!!!?!!! Great video.. really miss you guys waiting for the next podcast. Hugs and love to that new little grandson!!
Lori, congratulations on becoming a grandmother! For what it's worth, your Memory sweater looks green to me, too. Happy birthday, Justine, from someone who has to look in the Way Back Machine to see her 40th. LOL As for daily puzzles, I like Wordle, Quordle, Connections, Metazooa and Globle (last two by Trainwreck Labs). Glad to see you both back, you were missed.
Hi Denise! Thank you so much. So sorry that you’re having issues with your vision. 🤣🤣🤣 Way Back Machine for me, too. I’m obsessed with the NYT games. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Congratulations Lori! We didn’t really know what to call me when my first grandson was born and some how it became Memaw! Love my babies that aren’t babies anymore, oldest is 18 now!😊
I think Memaw is such a good name, Teena! I know another grandma with that name. Sometimes the baby decides what the name is and that could never be a bad thing! ❤️❤️❤️
I love watching you two!! Congratulations, Lori, on being a Mimi. Grandchildren are the BEST! And, Justine, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 40 is a wonderful age!! I hear you about making blankets, but somehow I am making Lego blankets for my 3 grandsons!! Talk about bobbles!! I also agree about Petite Knits patterns. I just finished making the Moby slipover, which I love, but found challenging at times. And, now I'm making Eva cardigans for those same 3 grandsons, and the construction is very different. But, as you said, trust the process. My only real complaint is her videos are in Danish, so even with the subtitles they are hard to follow. But, her designs are lovely. Wish I lived closer for your LYS Day!!
Mabel Tov! When my grandson was born I would park in front of my daughters apartment and wait to see if she needed anything and then run upstairs. He’s 14 now and still my favorite human.❤
I heard about you guys from watching the Needles at The Ready videos! Kevin and Ray spoke so highly about your podcast and the shop that I had to watch! I enjoyed watching so much that over the last couple of weeks, I watched all 48 episodes! I just finished watching the last one, last night and I am grateful to see this new one pop up into my feed! Looking forward to many, many more! Thank you both for all of the time and effort that you take to provide us with all of the shop updates, information and ... entertainment! 🙂 I enjoy laughing, learning and hanging out with you both! 🙂❤ Congratulations, Lori on your new grand! Happy birthday Justine!
Oh yay!!! 🎉Happy early 40th birthday!!! 🎉 welcome to the 40’s! The grass is so much greener here! 🥰 I’m excited for my birthday next month, too! It’ll be 45 for me! 🥳
Love your podcast, yes a few years ago I was travelling from Toronto, Canada to Punta Cana. I had no issues with needles leaving Canada but on the way back I did. I had an expensive pair of Hiya Hiya sharps that I was knitting socks on. I had those taken away. Now when I travel down there, I pack my knitting in my luggage. Have a good time
Thank you for watching, Trudy! That stinks that your Hiya Hiyas were confiscated. I don’t know what I would do if I wasn’t able to knit on a flight. 😩😩😩
Congrats on the grandson! I was supposed to be Nana, but first granddaughter called me Nanny, and 22 years later all three call me Nanny. But they are wonderful and it doesn’t make any difference what they call me.
I took knitting to and from Punta Cana and did not have any problems, but I just took socks on 9 inch circulars. I also did the same when I went to and from Mexico and didn't have any problems
working on that partnership! Lori I do connections almost every night. also saw your fan, and went to amazon and ordered a fan for myself. haha good idea see you soon!
Congrats on the new grand baby! I do the NYT wordle and the mini crossword daily. I also do a game called WORLDL ( Google WORLDL country guess and it should come up. It’s great to fine tune your geography skills
The third Fourth Wing book was announced today: Onyx Storm, coming Jan 21! (I’ve already preordered. 😂) Lori, 4 is my favorite number too! I go on kicks where I do the Wordle every day and then I forget for a while, lol. Angie got me into the Connections one too. I do think the Memory Sweater is leaning more to green.
I’m going to assume that the book info was not directed at me. 🤣🤣🤣 I was so happy that we got to hang together on Saturday. 🥰 I love Connections, but it is TOUGH. And I have been sucking at Wordle lately.
Lori, I have four grandchildren and still can't believe I am a grandma. It is the best gig, however, because you get all the fun without all the work! Justine, ridiculous rabbit hole, but would a flippy work for reading a hard cover book while knitting? I use an e-reader sometimes, but more often I get books from my local library. Thanks!
My two sisters and I play the following games every day and text each other our scores: Wordle, Quordle, Quordle Sequence , Octordle, Octordle Sequence, Octordle Rescue, Connections, Letterbox and Waffle. We started with just Wordle but kept adding games.
🤣🤣🤣 That’s a lot of games, Karen! I get it, though. We are totally addicted to Wordle and Connections. I also like the crossword, but I’m not great at it. Spelling Bee, too.
Lori. Accept Mimi it could be much worse. My grand daughter told me I couldn’t be named grandma cause that was her other grandma. We have dogs and for a while she was calling me doggyma We agreed on Mimi.
I play every day the free NYT games 🙄 and I grumble every day on them because of the 'lost' time ☺all the crafting that I could do instead 🧶 Connections is very often weird to say the least, and ofcourse being a belgian, I don't know a thing about american sports and teams. And the spelling bee, well, that game doesn't know all the words! Anyway, I'm of to stitch my daily portion of cross stitches xxx
Congratulations on the baby! I do the mini, wordle, and connections - surprisingly never got into spelling bee! The third book in the fourth wing series just got announced - Onyx Storm coming Jan 2025. So excited, I want to make an Andarna/Tairn inspired pair of socks.

I've been thinking, "Where the heck are Lori and Justine?" Now I know! So great to see you again.
We’re so happy to be back! Thanks so much for watching. 😘😘😘

Thank you so much, Sharon! There really are no words to describe the joy. ❤️❤️❤️

YES!!!! It’s BLUE! 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you so much for your kind words. If you want to knit a shawl and socks, you should!!! You are 100% capable! ❤️❤️❤️
Looks green to me! Love watching you ladies, definitely need to stop in and check out your shop.
Thanks so much for watching! Green…🤣🤣🤣 Please come and visit us in the shop!

Thank you so much, Beth! I can’t wait to get back up there and cuddle with him! ❤❤❤ I’m obsessed with the NYT games. 😂😂😂

So funny. I’m with Justine thinking the yarn is green, but I have this argument about teal like colors all the time. Congrats on your new grandson. 💙💙
Thank you so much! 🥰🥰🥰
Congrats on the grandson! I was supposed to be Nana, but first granddaughter called me Nanny, and 22 years later all three call me Nanny. But they are wonderful and it doesn’t make any difference what they call me.
Thank you so much, Rosemary!!! You’re right-they could basically call you anything and it doesn’t really matter. 😂😂😂
Whelp, I see a lot of funds gone over the next few months 😅 very excited for the upcoming trunks!!!!
My husband and I play Connections and Wurdle everyday.
So so not old but I always say embrace it.
Lori, mazal tov on becoming a Mimi! I am a Mima myself, #17 due in May and furiously working on another blanket.... Enjoy him!
Congrats, Mimi Lori!🎉🎉🎉 Love both of your shawls! 💜💜💜
Thank you so much, Pam!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Guarana is a climbing planet that is native to the Amazon...the seeds can be used as a health supplement. It's a natural stimulant like caffeine
You guys make me laugh ! Love your podcasts- what a great fine
Thanks Skeincocaine for the suggestion
Thanks so much for your kind words, Deborah! Gina is the BEST. 😉😉😉
Congratulations Lori, it’s wonderful to have grandchildren. Lori in my iPad your beautiful sweater looks green 💚
Thank you, Aida! I am loving every second of it. As far as the sweater is concerned, it would seem that I am in the minority, but…🤣🤣🤣
I took knitting to and from Punta Cana and did not have any problems, but I just took socks on 9 inch circulars. I also did the same when I went to and from Mexico and didn't have any problems
Lori, last summer I bought a neck fan and it’s fantastic. I enjoy your videos and you two always make me smile. Congratulations your grandson.
Thank you so much! Can you tell me the name of the neck fan? Is it strong? I’m losing my mind. 😩😩😩
working on that partnership! Lori I do connections almost every night. also saw your fan, and went to amazon and ordered a fan for myself. haha good idea see you soon!
Lollllll. I just ordered a NEW handheld fan AND a neck fan. 🤣🤣🤣
Congrats on the new grand baby! I do the NYT wordle and the mini crossword daily. I also do a game called WORLDL ( Google WORLDL country guess and it should come up. It’s great to fine tune your geography skills
My friend does Worldl. I saw it and I know that I would NEVER get any of them. 😂😂😂

Enjoyed the podcast as usual. Lori, try Blossom by Merriam Webster. It's a good one!
Thank you, Bonnie! ❤️❤️❤️
NYTimes games WORDLE, connections, mini crossword and Stranded. In that order.
😘😘😘
Those are all green!!!!! 😂😂😂
Okay I agree with the blue/green discussion. They were green. Not blue. Lori is having trouble with the blue/ green colors.
Luckily I was playing like a 5 year old with chocolate milk... Well hydrated thanks 😂
Lori. Accept Mimi it could be much worse. My grand daughter told me I couldn’t be named grandma cause that was her other grandma. We have dogs and for a while she was calling me doggyma We agreed on Mimi.
Sorry, Laurie, but I’m definitely on the green side 🤣
I play Wordle
