    Knowing when to leave is so very important. Like the old saying goes, “if you can’t spot the fish, you are the fish.” Only downside is that you have to play with these guys to get any better. You just don’t want it to be a table full all at once.

    • @9BallBory

      how does he know he's not just better than them? unless he actually knows who they are, brad isnt a bad player.

    • @Bill_N_ATX
      @Bill_N_ATX 3 ปีที่แล้ว +56

      @@9BallBory , he said in the video that he knew who all the other players were. It’s like in the movie Rounders, when all the pros are sitting at a table in Atlantic City, wondering why they bothered to make the trip. They could have stayed at home to take each other’s money. Until a couple of Rec or recreational players showed up. Those they’d stick around to clean up.
      In this case, once the Rec guys left, they stuck around a few minutes to see if anyone else showed up, and then like Brad, they decided there wasn’t a lot of money to be made so the game broke up. If the table is made up of folks at the same basic level or all pros, the only thing left to make money on is the variance. And in theory that’s equal in the long run. So unless you just like giving the casino the rake, it’s time to go home or find another game.

    Have you thought about making a video, where you explain how you act at a pokertable (manners, how to buy in, what to look for and so long)? Because at the moment I would not feel confident going to a pokertable in belagio, because I never played poker irl in a casino... love the content :)

      I love your Vlogs the only thing I don't understand is when you say people are Pros. Yes I understand that's what they do for a living I played against many of them. But to say their skill-set is any better then yours I don't believe. Poker I hate to say it 95% luck. 5% is knowing when your beat and how to react at that moment. If poker was 100% skill the same person would win every single tournament no matter how many they play. Like golf or bowling. To me a pro is somebody who just has more money than I do and it's not scared to lose it because their life is not depending on that money but also plays a lot. But I appreciate you putting out the videos you're always going to get a like from me. I believe you're a lot better than you give yourself credit for this what I'm saying. Good luck in future games brother.

      @@allenpoborac9666 This has got to be one of the most convoluted comments of all time... Just to give you an idea of how off-base your thinking is, using your own words..... "To me a pro is somebody who just has more money than I do and it's not scared to lose it because their life is not depending on that money but also plays a lot." - The entire premise of "PRO" is that their life DOES depend on the money they make. "Poker I hate to say it 95% luck. 5% is knowing when your beat and how to react at that moment." - Can you quantify how you came up with those percentages? Obviously to have such a strong opinion you've performed some type of statistical analysis on a large sample size, right? Of course you haven't because you literally have no idea what you're talking about. LITERALLY. Poker is 100% a skill based game and the most successful poker players are the ones with first and foremost the greatest understanding of how to make statistically profitable decisions and how to intertwine that understanding with taking advantage of players that DO NOT have that same level of understanding (exploitative play). My intent isn't to bash you here but to hopefully give you a chance to realize how ignorant you are in your thinking. If your deduction regarding 100% skill-based equating to same person winning every tournament were true, then the #1 ranked pros that play sports like tennis and golf would win every single match they played, wouldn't they? Does the fact that they don't mean they aren't the best in the world at what they do? Does it mean them losing a match equates to them being unlucky? Luck is not quantifiable and shouldn't be in the vocabulary of professionals. Whether sports, poker, or business. Variance on the other hand is quantifiable, and that just becomes another of many factors in the decision making process. Luck is an excuse losers use when things don't work out in their favor.

    • @allenpoborac9666
      @allenpoborac9666 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Anthony-nv7gd so you know exactly what I have and have not done in my life of course you do you're Anthony in a chat room you know everything. Also what I stated is true if poker had nothing to do with luck and it was a hundred percent skill-based the same person would win every single time for long periods of time kind of like Roger Federer did or Tiger Woods has. I don't remember the last time I heard Novak say I took a bad beat because the ball decided to turn into a square and not bounce properly . And yes in a cash game your funds are 100% are taken into decision making period if not everyone would just randomly call every single time to see if they were beat there would be no such thing as bluffing. Why is poker play for money not for fun in poker rooms. Because if it was for fun nobody would care there would just be a lot of I'll call I'll call I'll call I'll call I'll call I'll call I'll call I'll call I'll call I'll call I'm all in I'm all in I'm all in I'm all in I'm all in I'm all in I'm all in. Kind of like what WPT.com is like nothing wagered nothing lost. I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this but yes poker is very much luck based. Because if it wasn't you probably would never have won a hand in your life. Also where's the skill when you put in all your money with Aces versus deuces and the board hits a deuce where's your skill now. Let me guess you're going to say I got it in with the best. And when you lose that will get you a Coke and a smile. All but you're going to say that's a bad beat. No donkey that's called luck bad luck for you just like when you tried to make a point here.

    • @Anthony-nv7gd

      @@allenpoborac9666 "Also where's the skill when you put in all your money with Aces versus deuces and the board hits a deuce where's your skill now. Let me guess you're going to say I got it in with the best." - If you bothered to process any of my reply you might have been able to realize on your own that this scenario equates to variance and is statistically an incredibly profitable scenario. The player with deuces has a 12% chance of flopping a set. I have a 12% chance of flopping a set. I'm not SKILLED enough at poker to calculate the exact math relative to how profitable of a scenario is considering we could also both make flushes and straights but to suffice to say my aces are going to win approximately 9 out of 10 times. If winning 9 times means losing 1 time, then who gives a shit about that 1 time? You wanna know who? People like you, that think the reason they are losing players is because they are unlucky. I sincerely tried to help you understand how wrong you are, but people like you simply just dont care about evolving. With that, I'm going to cut my losses on this conversation and move on with my day. Best of luck to you.

    Generally not a fan of slowplaying hands like KQ on flops like A-Q-Q.
    Trips generally ain’t strong enough to slowplay, i prefer to try build the pot on the flop and get as much money in as i can.
    Other then that i think you played very well, especially liked the raise to 200 when the guy bet 35 and 30.
    Being capable of showing up with sevens in spots like this generates alot of future calls that they should be folding.

    Have always liked the fact your Volgs are honest and straight forward, you don't just post winning sessions. Keep them coming.
    And pike you said, when the table doesn't have any weaker players left, then it's time to leave. Yes, you'll improve your game by playing tough opponents, but not when that's all that are left at the table.😇

    I've never seen a cashier lay the bills on top of eachother until now. In CT at Mohegan and Foxwoods they overlap them so the cameras can see the count. We also aren't allowed to use our cameras at all around the tables or at the cashiers area

    You're never going to get better or be able to read pros better when you keep running away after 30 minute sessions. They know you're a fish compared to them then take advantage of it and use that as your image at the table to confuse and circle them. Sometimes it's good to be the underdog to take advantage of your image.

    Brad Own is the only TH-cam channel I have on "Bell" mode. I need them immediately 💖 His strongest attribute is knowing when to leave a table, something us aspiring poker players need to learn before getting serious into the game. Cheers Brad!
