My theory as to why entertainers tend to be liberal is that they receive obscene amounts of money without producing anything tangible for society, and liberal virtue signalling is how they ease their guilty conscience. How does a person know what party their doctor is?????????????? I have 20 doctors now cause of my heart and i have NO IDEA what party they belong to. Never once have i thought........what party does my doctor belong to.

You can usually tell when in conversations with the Dr. If you don’t talk, your right, you will never know. Look around while in the Dr’s office,there might be some clues.

Why doesn't anyone ever mention that the purpose of being conservative is to *conserve* things that are worth conserving? Odenkirk never realized that his doctor wanted to *conserve* his life. He also mentioned the natural political evolution of most people, from young liberal to old conservative. (Seriously, old liberals beg the question of whether or not they were dropped on their heads as toddlers...)
The medical profession has gone even more woke than you think, they recently lowered the standard for one of the three tests needed for medical school graduates to get a medical license, it's a test given in the second year of medical school that is the most predictive of success as a doctor, going from a numerical score to a simple pass-fail. The reason for the change was black medical students were not scoring high enough. Coincidentally, they also score at the very bottom of the mcats year after year.
I heard that as well some months ago, scary.

I feel so blessed that my 3 kids are all out of elementary and middle school! My life would be an everyday living nightmare if my kids were still that young! Every school who allows Dragqueens, pdf's or even trans at all to be a teacher should be closed and the ones who allowed those people to teach should never be able to work in school again!

I was talking with my husband last night about MRIs. I said I'd gotten one when i was 11. He asked why. I said it was an ice hockey injury, high sticking. I said i loved hockey, never missed a local game, plsyed on the boys team, collected hockey cards, named my 2 hamsters North Star and Bruin.
He said, "Today, you'd be a man. That would have been more than enough evidence to transition you"
The way he said it felt more like he wanted to say "convict you" and i think that's actually what it is.

As a pharmacist , I agree , too many people take statins .. but that said , if your cholesterol is not in a good place , it’s only a matter of time until atherosclerosis causes something , usually heart attack or stroke …. So be cautious.

I remember politics came up one time at my dr's appt, and I didn't give my opinion one way or another...but my doctor went ballistic. Total TDS.
It didn't change my trust for her, but I lost immense respect in that moment.
I see a different person in the same office now... They shuffled patients to ease up their schedules, and I adore my new Dr. She goes out of her way to make sure I'm comfortable. We chat about our families. She's really good at navigating the conversation.
The best bet is to either keep your opinions to yourself or play dumb.

So much of it is wheeling and negotiating like the first 15 minutes of Few Good Men - the principle of a pound of green stuff in a bag intended to be smoked, and the actual facts of the stuff being oregano. Bullcrap and bureaucracy grinding down the people, and everybody gets burned out - doctors with patients not listening to them until it's too late (give me a pill to counteract my life like a diet coke with a big mac) and lawyers coming on the scene after the fact of the momentous decision/action to clean up the mess. Both schools got captured by the machine a century ago.

I’m a current medical student. They spent nearly every Friday the first 1-2 years hosting learning events with the purpose of pushing liberal talking points. As the closeted conservative, I used to think “I wouldn’t want any of these people as my doctor.” But when given a chance to talk actual medicine with the same instructors, you find out that years in practice lead to a very high level of knowledge. Moral of the story- you can strongly disagree with whatever belief, but don’t default to thinking an individual lacks in all cognitive faculties just because you see certain things differently! I went to a new doctor about 2 years ago.the papers I was filling out ask me my name,am I a female,male,trans,and something else,I forgot..I had to go to this doc..but I thought man,this has got to be a dumb doctor..the beat goes on,on,on...

Imagine paying for a doctor and not listening to his educated advice, which made him cranky, then realizing he was right when you almost died, then still blaming the doctor for you not taking his advice that you literally paid for. I agree but I think most of us have had encounters with doctors that are delusional under a God complex who will stand fervently behind a misdiagnoses instead of conceding making a mistake. I do not give anyone grief over having some semblance of doubt.

There are so many of us who are so thankful that we did not, and would not get that experimental shot.
A great singer/songwriter died, “of COVID”, in 2020. IMHO, he died partly because his family ridiculed and rejected Conservative fans’ pleas for them to give him Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine to cure him, including my own. The world was heartbroken. I feel horrible for the family because they lost their loved one and still don’t know that he could have lived.
My doctor is pretty cool. I smoke an drink beer. On my first visit to him he asked me those questions. He told me he was "required" to tell me to stop doing that stuff. But then told me he does too. LOL
There are a few that might benefit from statins, but most don’t, conservative or not.

My doc wanted me to take a statin, too, but I knew some things about them. I went a different route: functional medicine, based on lifestyle changes. Anti-inflammatory diet, stress reduction, exercise, etc. I lost 45 lbs, and my blood pressure and cholesterol have gone down. The doc never discussed other factors in metabolic syndrome, such as insulin resistance/pre-diabetes--but the functional medicine doc did. Statin drugs can make those worse. The regular doc didn't have real treatment options for my thyroid condition, either, but the functional doc is working with me on it.
My point is, statin meds are not always the answer. Unfortunately, most of us aren't willing to make the changes necessary to manage our health at its source.
What's next, check the political opinion of your plumber? The problem seems that he is even considering political correctness in the first place.

Statins are primarily used to lower levels of LDL. They have horrible side effects, totally not worth taking when diet and exercise work safely ten times better--side effect free!
Another keyboard doctor giving anecdotal advice. Many people’s lipids and cholesterol levels do not respond and correct from diet and exercise alone. Statins are a safe and proven treatment for many patents.

I thought according to Jim was a great sitcom. When Dan Akroyd appeared once in a while it was good stuff. The characters were all well developed and the writing was quite good. Surprised you didn't like it Greg.

I'm convinced statins are a sham supported by marketing-driven and possibly fraudulent studies, but I agree with the actor's assessment that politics have nothing to do with whether opinions generally, and medical advice in particular, are valid.
Statins are no different than most other drugs in that there may be undesirable side effects or long term negative impacts. Many people respond well to statins and have no negative effects. Many of those people might otherwise suffer and/or die without them. If a statin allows someone to survive another 20 or 30 years ....... what's it to you?

Political affiliation will most certainly effect a doctors abilities if they misunderstand what gender means because of it, or if they feal like unvaccinated people don't deserve healthcare. Also, the more left a doctor is, the less likely they are to subscribe to the Nuremburg Code.
The more left, the more likely to be DEI, the more likely to not value actual competence.

I had a doctor cut me off care without notice because I didn't get the shots and another doctor that stopped giving me refills for the pills that were keeping my immune system from rejecting the chemo treatments that I was needing for my severe autoimmune disease. My immune system has built up antibodies to the medication and now I am without treatment.
