Why was OP the first go to person in taking care of the child? Second, I'm glad that in the end they saw that OP should not be the one to take care of the child.

From experience with people actually trying to ask me to randomly babysit because I'm single and childfree and hearing other friends vent about family issues I say it's a mentality along these lines.
A- She is a childless woman. Until she has a kid taking care of other's kids is her job.
B- Childfree is not a legit life choice. It means she doesn't have a responsible attitude and need to "step up".
C- Many people don't think at home schooling and work are serious. I know someone who literally went no contact with family for awhile over them not thinking he actually had a work schedule.
D- People who make babies are saints even when it's unplanned and other people should change their lives for their choices. Or step up to help the one's who promise to help but realize it's too much trouble.

Hunny your aunt should write a book for parents and such and also start a class for parents and other relatives..and you did well imo .

NTA: They took your help for granted. It isn't your fault that your sister crapped out a kid from an irresponsible guy.

Aunt rose for the win. This is probably one of the few stories where the atleast half the family was not complete idiots. And the schedule move that op pulled, honestly, was very satisfying. Those few family members who tried to strongarm op got their consequences. And the baby bonded more with op than ops sister says a lot about ops sister , she is a shi*ty mother, period. Ops mom is also a shi*ty mother to op manipulating op onto babysitting and also guilting her by using ops dad. Hopefully ops sister becomes a good mother. I feel so bad for the baby tho,he doesn’t deserve this.

    Why the censor on forcing?

It’s been happening almost on all channels , when I read the comments, some said it’s because these words may trigger people , some said it was because people will comment on this censoring and so that post will receive more comments, like , it’s a tact to get more comments .

It's because we have children in comment sections now they are on mommy or daddy's TH-cam account posing as adults so they don't have to go to TH-cam kids..

How is wanting less time when she has to take care of a kid that's not even hers so she can prepare for college being an ah? It's not her fault that her sister had a child when she did.
