well. i didnt get to play AC5 much compared to 4 and Zero, might dl an emulator for it since i cant seem to find any Ace combat 5 CD's in my town :(
+Banned Inc. tbh, you aren't missing much. Zero is just a better, less cheesy version of 5 and the gameplay is the exact same. If you have already played Zero, there isn't that much that stands out in 5 aside from the cliche story and cringeworthy dialogue. Just my opinion anyway.

well.. the Philippine marines did use cardboard boxes as ghetto SLAT armor and it was able to defeat RPG warheads. XD(though 2 crewmen still got injured from the blast, the APC is still intact and the crew is also kicking ass.) i think the AFP will like the idea of a bus converted into a gun truck lol

The fact that you went and reenacted never the less referenced Ace Combat 4 makes me so happy, but you went the extra mile and made a battle bus for Mobius One and that just makes it 10 times better.

i always loved the Ace Combat Series when i was a kid :), aside from blowing stuff up with numerous jets, its also got a nice story.
not to mention.. the KICKASS soundtracks of those games
Indeed. I found myself roleplaying a lot in those games, even if I was alone. For some reason I just found it so easy to put myself in that pilot seat, and the characters were always so much fun.
On another note, just checked out your American Bias Shotgun... Did you also play Conflict: Desert Storm? :O That was actually my first ever shooter, and it started just with my little brother and I on our first console, the PS2. I had noticed the track somewhere in there... Good times. Good times...
late reply, (woops) yep! played Conflict:Desert Storm with my big bro too on the PS2 before. one of the best co-op games i have played imho, though we did have a bit of arguments especially when it comes to trying to find where the hell we got KO'd and need to be revived lmao, favorite char is jones.. one tactic i always do is throw smoke and make a run for the stationary tank, then i plant C4 and blow myself up and let my big bro revive me lol, was a funny and smart tactic, (especially since there are times we wasted precious AT rockets just for a lowly BMP and hitting the T-72 on the front instead of the back or sides)
There is no fucking way that you and my little brother not only loved using Jones(though he did love Foley just a *bit* more due to the Barret) *AND* use the suicide C4 tactic. Just... wat.
I personally loved Bradley, though Conners' SAW was a really fun weapon to use. I remember the airbase mission where you have to stealthily get through the canyon beforehand, I would always take Bradley and grab the RPK because it was just so beast.
Also, was it just me, or were the AK lines of guns just better than most other weapons? I found that especially with C:DSII where the Makarov was WAAAAY better than even primaries. Pretty sure it was two shots up close and three at long range xD Limited ammo was the only issue there.
Either way, the C4 suicide tactic... I didn;t think anyone else but my brother and I were smart enough(or rather stupid enough? xP) to use such a... unconventional means of taking down armor?
And lastly, the rage was indeed real when finding out where one needed to be revived was an issue. Or when you had to go *AAAALL* the way back to the other side of the map to do it, only to find that they would die right before you could get to them. Ah, the good old days...
