I have loved all your tips but I have to say that the t-shirt folder is superfluous- I was taught how to fold in the exact same manner and taught my husband. We used brown paper at the store where I worked but at home it’s not necessary. It works great. Another wonderful video, thank you so much 💕

Great video. My house is pretty organized but my attic is a mess!!! I lay in bed and think about all the junk up there and feel so overwhelmed I don't know where to start? Can you do a video on how to tackle a large overwhelming organization project please. Thanks have a great week!! Stephanie

      Hi there
I was exactly like that last week I had 2 rooms like that the rest of the house was spot on so this is what I did
I did 20 minutes a day in one corner
Second day I did 20 minutes
      In second corner
I did this for a 5 days bit by bit it gave me time too think and I was excited and looking forward to the mini project were I wasn't getting overwhelmed because I new I was here only for 20 minutes
The second room I did was call my friends I told them I will make you tea and a lovely cake and some chit chat gossip if u come and help me clean my room
They were all up for it there were 5 of us it took us 2 to 3 hours to do and the rest of the time we enjoyed our tea and gossip
Hope u can get something out of this
      Good day 😊

Depends on what you have to organise but I really like the KonMari method. A 4hr audio version of Marie Kondo's book is here on TH-cam. Very inspiring/motivating

    • @greg1reed1
      @greg1reed1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

couple of tips from The Minimalists. First, "the best way to organize your stuff is to get rid of it" ;) Secondly, you can try something called the minimalist game, for 30 days. Day one get rid of one thing, day two get rid of two things, etc.... so that on the 30th day you get rid of 30 things. Lastly something I did when starting out was to challenge myself to have my curbside garbage can full every time it was picked up and to donate a box full of stuff a week to goodwill. I also agree with the person who recommended Kon Mari. Have fun!!

I had the same thing, kept saying to my husband to help me in the end I woke up and just went up there and got rid of the stuff. I think it was hard letting go of my daughters baby bits. Took a little while to go through, but once it's done it's done

I use the napkins in my car, my kids already know they are either in the glove box compartment or passenger side visor. Whenever anyone sneezes or needs a napkin for whatever reason, we all know where to go. I know some people keep a roll of paper towel in the car but is much better to use what you already have.

I don't like to use the napkins because, most of time, it's the same person who is handling the money that grabs the napkins with their bare hand. I consider those napkins contaminated.

attic don't think about organizing. first purge just the broken items and trash. Then ask yourself how you want to use the attic AFTER you are done. I am not talking about "organizers". I mean uses and zones. That way you can visualize using the room, even if it is still for storage and retrieval. Konmari discusses this a bit. Then Konmari's theory may help get to what you want to KEEP. I recommend "Cleaning from the inside out" a book and video that goes into detail about the pre organization visualizing process.

I use most of your tips, except one: I always use a garbage bowl when cooking. (We live in a rural area & compost). No longer....why haven't I thought of using a plate before? We can always learn from one another. Thank you.

Mosquito in a past life!! LOl LOL I have the same plate but in an off-white. They are very resilient except if they land on tile floor at just the right angle and velocity - then they shatter into a powder that can cover an amazingly large area. Love the microwave hole in the food tip. Duh, why didn't I think of that. Thanks

I used to use that blue board but found a cheap dollar store clip board works just as well. Paper is a bit too flimsy. I love "filing" all my husbands t-shirts. Makes finding a particular shirt so easy.

I am new to your videos and have really enjoyed the ones I have watched so far. I have a question about elevating things. Is it just for the aesthetic look because it would seem as if you just have one more thing to have it sitting on and still have to clean around it (example-under the sink or above stove). I like the idea but just trying to figure out the reason. Thanks!

      - you are making less clutter
      - minimising on things
      - saving more
      - spending less time on cleaning so have more time for other things......etc.
