In around 2005, I was a member of an anime forum and people started posting music videos using a site called TH-cam. I used to hate when people used to use TH-cam as videos always buffered and took forever to load. Never would have guessed how big it would be. I wish I could remember the other sites people would use to post videos.
The home page on youtube is overlooked by millions of people every day. It's the first impression anyone gets when looking at the website and, in the case of any other site, has to be perfect to capture an audience for the platform. Unfortunately though, companies like TH-cam are able to get away with doing things that their audience dislikes (and allows them to not need to worry about how their homepage looks AS MUCH) because they are basically a monopoly for video creation on the internet and users of youtube can't just move to a competitors website because, chances are, their favorite youtubers aren't going to be on there which is very sad :(
I like how timeworks knows how to use wayback machine so he literally makes almost his every video through wayback machine I still didn't like that he is using the same idea but I want him to make that of dream then I would be happy I know I can view that myself but it just sometimes doesn't loads
I like that the fact TH-cam keep the star rating system until late 2009 and changed it to the likes and dislikes system along with the major changes that occurred in mid-2010. Also, the "TH-cam Broadcast Yourself" logo is now pretty much got simplified to the "TH-cam" logo only without that tagline anymore.
I liked the 2012 youtube layout. had some good memories with it, i don't see how it was complicated everything was right there in a straight line. and you also had the choice to customize your own page
I've been using TH-cam, and made my channel in 2005, and I really miss how customizable the channels are. Nowadays, you can't customize anything, the comments section is being censored, the dislike count is being removed..Pretty sad
I miss the old youtube logo Also it’s sad knowing that they got rid of rewind. Even if they were all hated, it was something to look forward to every year

I use to love how in 2011 in alternative school to access youtube through a proxy server and it would display some older format of old because it wouldn't recognize the new format was hilarious 😆 now all thats ancient. 💫

It’s crazy how different the homepage looked like throughout the years. I don’t remember too well the way the homepage looked like when I first used TH-cam in 2011 (before I made my channel in 2017), so I was just more focused on seeing what videos were on the platform
