    I was stoked to meet Chad at UGQ and buy a 0-degree Bandit fully loaded. :) My first legit purchase ever was a 20-degree Zeppelin, and wanted to make sure he knew how well it performed in the field, especially in Colorado high sub-alpine.
    I wanted to win the Majestic Hammock red, white and blue 11' they had hanging from their rig, but alas I didn't win it in the raffle. Definitely going to be my next online hammock purchase.

      I just ordered a 30 deg Zeppelin. Really looking forward to trying it out!

    Life happens bro, no apologies needed. I've always enjoyed your content, we're not going anywhere. We'll watch it if/when it comes. Glad to hear you're taking care of yourself first. Happy trails.

    Dan From backpacking Adventures uses his iPhone for his videos and it's some of the best cinematic quality I've witnessed on TH-cam.
    The tarp seems like it will be nice. Pun not intended.
    Happy healing and remain in good health!

    Always good to see you and sorry to hear the Harriman vids were lost. Been doing day hikes to check out each of the Harriman shelter areas to see which work for hammocks. Wish there were more areas to disperse camp near Northern NJ

      Harriman is such a good place, so many trails, great views, and enough challenge to make you earn all of it!

      GoPro really needs to step up their game, too many people are having issues with their stuff.

    I'm super happy to hear about disc golf! I've been playing for 7 years and am still awful but I love it! Slow is smooth and smooth is far when throwing lol.
    I found you about 5 years ago when planning my first backpacking trip at devils den in arkansas. Thanks for all the informative and entertaining videos! Glad you're taking care of yourself. Happy trails!

    • @SpiguyverBackpacking1
      @SpiguyverBackpacking1  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks, Hangcon was great, so many awesome people in one location! So I won't go into too much detail on the tarp, but I will say there was a collision with a guy line which resulted in about a 6 inch rip. I need to see what can be done about repairing it.

      I hope it is, I was gonna slap some tenacious tape on it, but I will probably just reach out to Dutch and get his recommendation on how to repair it. Seems he knows something about this equipment!

    Oof sorry to hear about the health issues. Glad to hear you're getting out. That sucks about the GoPro. I've been loving the DJI Action 4 lately. My workflow with DaVinci Resolve is way faster now. I figured out how to use the preview clips to edit with but still render with 4k footage. Helps with my potato computer. The flip up acreen on the Insta360 looks nice. The Polartech Alpha bag liner looks so nice. I want one.

    Welcome back and def looking forward to more content. Also curious what happened to your tarp? The DW bonded xenon is what I've been thinking moving up to, so curious if I should consider other avenues.

    • @SpiguyverBackpacking1
      @SpiguyverBackpacking1  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That tarp is amazing, it was a collision with a guy line at a high rate of speed that ended in a rip. For sure keep that one on your list!

      @@SpiguyverBackpacking1 - Oh. That's unfortunate. But glad to hear it was caused by external forces and not a material/design failure.

    Hi mark glad to see you back. I have been looking for a bridge hammock for a while and like the look and the space of the towns end hammock you have. I know you like yours but reviews wise theres not many so i can't really gauge what people really think of them apart from yours. Will you be doing a video of how to do the underquilt and getting that sealed. Also the bug net. Is the underquilt harder to fit on a towns end than on the banyan

    • @SpiguyverBackpacking1
      @SpiguyverBackpacking1  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have not had any real big issues with the UQ other n the TownsEnd, but there is a bit more to it than the Banyan, but once you get that figured out, it’s easy and no cold spots ever!

    My gopro8 freezes, loses footage, not totally waterproof, and sucky battery life so I rarely use the thing. The newer ones are supposed to be better but still have issues. I looked at that insta360 and the tiny one. Ended up getting an X3 which is ok but the zoom feature is grainy. I usually use my canon or my phone for filming. DJI scares me due to the blacklisting of their software. (2 gimbals i might grab a burner phone to film with if they decide to root it)
