I like to say thank you for the Switchglaive tutorial. It was the first weapon I chosen, and I fell into the same rut as everyone else using midstance followed by cyclone. Now I'm amazing how easily I can down opponents with only the small amount of hiccups here and there. Awesome video! 😃😃😃😃
Honestly they should have given you the stance switch skills from the beginning, because you have to beat the second main mission before you actually get to experience what sg really feels like.
I wish it was like this for all the weapons. Not have the ability to even combo strong and light for any weapons is just bull shit and garbage game design. It makes the game 10x harder than it should be for no damn reason other than the devs said fuck you.
I wish this game had a style meter like dmc series. I would love a mod that added that and scaled your damage based on your style meter to give incentives to use a wife variety of moves.
i'm very new in the nioh 2 universe (i downloaded it 4 days ago) and honestly i got obsessed with this game. I originally chose switchgaive and this vid helped tons!!! Thankss
So I’m curious, what do you do before you get wildfire flux since you won’t get it for a while into the game. Just max out as much of the stance changing as possible?
Personally, I'm a big fan of the low stance attacks. Reminds me strongly of the Saw Spear from Bloodborne. Still haven't got the hand of gaining the stacks yet tho
hands down the most used weapon in the game. I see more strong high attacks spammed over n over. I use it as my number 1. it's so versatile and hits hard. combos are great.
I just picked up the game, and fell in love with this weapon. The fluid comboing is so fun. Afterwards though playing something else feels a bit weird. Wondering what weapon to pair this with
@@PooferLlama as a dual swords "main" i can attest that it is so satisfying to chain sheathing attacks, im picking this weapon to do some Cosplay in-game xd
I was stance swapping as soon as I got it early in the game. But I definitely don't have all these abilities and stuff yet. Felt like that was the entire purpose of the weapon but it feels weird when I'm doing it and the enemy doesn't get staggered and he just hits you after hitting him for a couple seconds. And I assume that's even worse against bosses.
7:40 Poofy's reaction was priceless! XDXDXDXD (and before you "that hurts my soul" give it a listen and tell me that doesn't sound like a Poofy. Go on, I dare you!)
First time playthough. I have been using switchglaive as primary, trying to decide on secondary. I have tried both spear and hatchet, I like the throws on hatchet, but need to try kusarigama and looking forward to spitstaff as well. Trying to settle on that range control for secondary, and lots of options....
Great video. Thank you 👍🏻 I have a question please. When a human enemy loses it ki and I preform Cyclone 2 on him (the grapple animation), does it consider as a grapple skill?? I mean, does it benefit, or considered, from bonus damage from grapple? Sometimes the Cyclone 2 grapple the human foe while they are laying on the ground, again does the skill grapple animation considered as final blow? I want to know if Cyclone 2 is affected from damage bonuses that falls under Grapple and/or final blow damage. Thanks again for ur Video
He's following the order the weapons are arranged in the skills' window if I'm not mistaken so fists will be last, but fortunatly, we're quite there :)
I never noticed how funny you can be, that moment with the warrior is pure comedy, xD But I shouldn't be getting distracted, I'm trying to learn the switchglaive here
Hey so you may have mentioned this in your video but how long did these stocks last for and particularly what skill unlocks the ability to actually utilize them? I'm completely new to the game I've got like 10 hours in and I fucking love the switchblade so here I am
You went through half a guide without saying what are the more effective stance switches or what the more important skills are. You laugh a lot, get crazy about the damage but honestly gets boring
Thanks for the honest feedback. The part 1 of each guide usually just covers raw identity of the weapon while part 2 focuses on individual skills. Also, I personally feel that each skill is suited for certain situations. I don't think that there is any "best" skill per se.
@@PooferLlama I saw a lot of your guides, and I think some editing in terms of the content would improve it. For example on this one you waste a lot of time showing the 5 stack finisher when once or twice would be enough. I can see you’re having fun, but sometimes it’s not fun for the one watching :)
@@YouJGSousa yeah I've had the criticism of my videos not being succinct enough. I would love to edit them to be more concise but I simply do not have the time :(
@@PooferLlama well then it’s better that you make them at all. Thanks anyway, it was just a bit frustrating to watch but still like the content in general
I totally understand and your feedback is still nonetheless valuable. I go through my own videos to see what I can reasonably improve for the future. Conciseness has been the latest focus but the results of that will only start to become visible after Lesson 95...and this comment chain is on lesson 74 :( If I was single and had double time, then I could probably make crisp guides...but that's just not my situation anymore. My recent hope has been to hire an editor to assist me with greater video output and concision...but that requires a lot of money which I don't have at the moment :(
In this case, it's referring to Tempest/Wildfire Flux. You perform 5 Switch Stance abilities to boost Tempest/Wildfire Flux 5 times to either reduce ki consumption or boost melee damage. Those 5 buffs stack on top of one another. I refer to this as "stacking".
Sooo i have a serious question. The first thing ill say is i want to be Fast! Do you get faster no matter what weapon you use the more you level up??? Also im on Ps4
@@PooferLlama thanks. Do you have any tips on building a switchglaive build? And how did you have that ninja outfit even tho you have different armor (sorry i don't know almost anything because i am very new to the game)

Staff and glaive are pretty good together. The best part is u can carry ur shifting buff onto the split staff to do crazy dragon dance.
My main problem is mixing up switch stancing and doing Flux II.
Thus I lose a lot of Ki.
You didn’t mention that each switch stance attack counts as an active skill, thus all active skill damage boosts buff them
How are you able to do multiple switch stances per combo? Seems like I'm only able to do one each time.

Switchglaive❤
It’s a lot harder to get stacks on human opponents. It feels like
that’s true, because they will be frequently blocking in many cases and a hit on block won’t count towards the stacks
What skill is this that you can throw your weapon?
I never noticed how funny you can be, that moment with the warrior is pure comedy, xD

You'll eventually get the Mystic Art for SG which will allow you to use the special finisher at 5 stacks.
@@PooferLlama thanks man
How do u unlock the abilities is my question
How can I access this place in nioh 2?
Where you are demonstrating your skills.
Where I can test stuff
The Training Ground can be accessed in the sub-menu involving Dojo missions. Just scroll all the way down until you find it.
I appreciate all the guides. What is the Sglaive’s best attack/skill for Ki-DMG?
Example: SS-Shin Crusher
I'll cover stuff like this in the 2nd SG guide.
How collect switchglaive points? Im only have 33 point using level weapon 160 +7
You get more points on higher difficulties.
How do you do a cancel into thin air!? I can’t figure it out!
Just sheathe on Ki Pulse and you'll get it out super fast.
Hey, what spell was that you used at 9:34. If anyone knows the answer, feel free to chime in.
Flame Dragon Scroll (something like that), it's from DLC 2
@@PooferLlama ah that explains why I've never seen it. Thanks!
