This game is beautiful. It is fun to explore the environments. The combat is good too even if you get the combos down, the fast past rythem game style is always intense for me at least.
Stumbled upon this games a year ago and decided to go back to see if anyone else thought as highly of this game as I did. This game was actually peak, dont sleep on these indie games man
Classy stuff! Nice to see a pro-level review of some of these “smaller” games. Curious as to the non-mention of the Valjyrie Profile series. Either way I’ll be back for more!
Azario doesn’t like comparing games too much. He enjoys reviewing games on the things they bring to the genre. He said he knows it’s there, but it’s nothing that he’d put in his critique. Also thank you so much!
Noisy Pixel: Much respect. Hard decision to make; do you acknowledge the influences existence (Metroidvanias got a nod) or do you lift up a game on its own merits? Cool to see there’s still an appetite for games like this.
Noisy Pixel: yeah that’s a weird one like souls/rogue likes (genres that directly reference) the games that popularized them. Just glad to see another iteration of this combat system!
I hope you're not lying about the Anja's "character" and not just you reaching or shilling. How she "handled" her Village & her father dying makes me want to quit the game altogether. Like no one matters and she just wanted a excuse to leave her room. 😑
We promise that that is not a spoiler. The story is 20 hours long. Our summary covers the first 30 minutes. Sorry if you were trying to go in blind and this ruined your experience. Perhaps limit your review watching until the game’s release?
@@NoisyPixelNews Yeah, that's actually my biggest problem with the game so far. I'm only an hour or so in and everything ramped up from so to a thousand in the first ten minutes, making the pacing thus far feel a bit stilted. I'm still overall enjoying the game, but I hope they smooth down the plot progression a bit going forward.
9 out of 10 game reviews that aren’t 2 minutes long have minor spoilers which really shouldn’t bother anyone.. That’s the whole point of it in the first place..
Game is broken. Too difficult early on, stereotype characters and leads to to think its like Metroidvania when its not. Graphics doesn't make the game. Boss battles are needlessly long for no reason. Also too expensive for what it is
I can't agree with your summation. The game is definitely not broken, it plays just fine. However, there are some considerable difficulty spikes in the beginning, but it eventually evens itself out. It never touts being a Metroidvania, it even says on the case that it blends platforming and rpg game mechanics together (that combined with countless online reviews describing this puts that entirely on you). And as for price to content ratio, this game can easily take 20-25 hours. Combine that with being able to pick it up at Wal-Mart for $33 in store, I would say you get your money's worth and then some.
@@danbooke2001 Everyone has a right to their opinion & that is my opinion. While I love Skullgirls & this looks pretty, this is MY thoughts on the game. Glad you like it
It’s a love letter to Valkyrie Profile with its battle mechanic

Me: mmmmm idk...
Game: 4:58
Me: ok I'm sold!
Cm'on everybody, lets support Lab Zero. Skullgirls deserves it
Sure thing Lab Zero deserves huge support from us.
[Dominic] it’s very Valkyrie Profile
Not anymore with the backstabbing against the original creator that was forced to give up his work
@@alexk7880
stfu, Alex Ahad is the original creator, not the weirdo Mike Z
I've been looking forward to this game. Glad it lived up to expectations.

Dude with spoilers dude come on....like give the basic synopsis but you’re ruining the beginning like wow
