I might look into that and altho my switch is only about one week old, my backlog is already 11 yards long.
That happens lol
@@NoisyPixelNews 🤣😅
How long is your backlog in non-retard units?
Because I want so many games, its mostly about the sales to me. I'm backlogged like you but I have a list of all the games I want and just keep adding to the collection when they go on sale, even if I'm not ready to play yet.
@@user-tw1kc2qh1w same. I never pay full price. My max spent is usually $20, and I have thousands of games.
I think my only real complaint was that “guessing game” of sorts you mentioned when figuring out where to go. (I also agree with your comment on finding maps way late into the zone)
For realz. Thats my biggest gripe in these types of games.
That and unnecessary backtracking, which I get is standard with many of these but some overdue it to detriment if flow and enjoyment.
Literally the only thing I would change about the game is give the jump a little bit of more airtime. Literally that's all but damn the combo system in the combat kicks ass really I actually love this game.
Good to hear. Been debating since release on this one.
Metroidivania with strong exploration without ptsd jumping puzzle? sounds perfect
Those floating islands remind me a lot of Tail Concerto, they even look like they belong on the PS!
Amazing game, really well done. If I had to complain it'd be about the graphic design and typefaces used within the game itself, some of it is looks absolutely out of place or just plain ugly.
Indeed I almost passed on this game due to the cheap looking boxart and terrible typeface for the games title logo, even the main character on the box is a bad selection, especially considering the other promo art out there that is of much higher quality.
I make this point as it's the many small details and polish that can affect the sales of a game and I really feel this game deserves to get as many sales as it can so the Devs can keep making them.
Thanks for informing me
The world map is reminiscent of Skies of Arcadia. I'd wager that was the inspiration.
When i heard the magic words " tricky puzzles" (puzzles is enough by itself) and " platforming to make you pull your hair out" , i allready knew i wouldn't get this game. But so the review anyway for entertainment purposes 😅
The game doesn't have puzzles
And the platforming gets easier the more mobility skills you acquire. But you're allowed to attempt the challenges without them.
@@elgatochurro To late, finished this game and hated it
Oh, why didn't ypu enjoy it?@@orfeas2335
amazing review
it has some mayor flaws that really take the fun out of it. otherwise it is truly unique.
The map system is a garbage! the dungeons/islands are way to complex.... pain
No freaking leave option from islands!! you have to backtrack the whole damn way...suffering!
No checkpoint travel inside dungeons and savepoints are way to far away from each other!... torture!!
you are supposed to enjoy exploring this world but they made everthing around it so damn exhausting.
"bonefires" instead of these simple touch savepoints would have been so much better! with an option to return to the ship.
a map where you can zoom in and set some markers is the least for such complex levels!
you cannot even see the damn mergent in the town!!! ....because towns do not have maps...wtf!!
Can you lvl up in it and does it have equipment?
No equipment, and you do earn more ‘HP and MP’. Abilities and spells definitely make it feel like you change quite a bit, though.
@@KrsJin okay Thanks:3
YOU get better, and the options via spells and memories (skills and passives).
Outside that you're rewarded heavily for exploring with these upgrades: health up, memory up, magic up
This game rocks
From the point of view of just watching the video, the thing that stands out to me is how ugly that "smoothing filter" effect on the art looks. This is a new game, you can design it any way you like, it doesn't _need_ to appear like you're running it through an emulator.
What's wrong with it? It's beautiful
It's freeform exploration, sometimes you skip the map. Sometimes you need to think about what or where you've been. It's extremely immersive in this manner.
You don't need a "leave area" button
Idk why you need much more than the enemies provided... For a tougher challenges you have harder modes
eeeh i'll wait for a deep discount on this one.
It's a fantastic game... Why do you need a discount on something under 20 bucks?
On sale right now on Xbox store for $14 or so
Not even worth any discount... terrible game.
