Nice to see there are still some good people in the world today. Sgt Rivers did NOT deserved to be treated this way. ALL military, police and first responders NEED to be treated with respect regardless of gender and race.
ALL SOLDIERS, OFFICERS OF THE LAW WHO HAS PROTECTEDUS MUST BE GIVEN PRIORTY IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.! THEY HAVE THE RIGHT! THEY PROTECT US AND KEEP US SAFE!
AMEN
Amen you are absolutely right 👍.
IF they are in uniform. If they are not then they need to stand in line like the rest of us.
Amen
@@tonisumblin2719sometimes they are not allowed to wear the uniform. Military persons are always soldiers.
God 🙏 sent a Guardian Angel 😇 Praise God she reached her daughter in time 💓🙏
I have given up my seat for a Service Member before. People like these who are petty & do not respect the uniform are lowest of the low & I hope they were all fired. Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all
I sometimes feel that people who are rude to our military members should live on an island somewhere, with no military protection & no police either.
Thank god there is still good people around
God😊
Poor woman. The airline staff were unkind to this black army lady. She has reason to cry thinking about her sick daughter. Lucky there was a kind person Tom who asked her what happened and she told him what other staff said not to board the plane. Tom went and told the manager who was really shock of the staff attitude. Good the manager will discipline the staff who were unkind to Angela.
What disgusting behavior ! They should be fired or at the least suspended for awhile to show them how it feels ! And be watched for quite awhile ! That poor mother to go thru such an awful thing like that ! My love , respect , and thanks go out to this very special women/ soldier ❤⭐🙏😍 So happy to hear your little girl is doing better each day .💖🙏 God Bless You Both !
May God's richest blessings forever be yours. You love your country and your family. Wonderful
God Bless you for serving your country.
Some people can be so unkind & cruel & it’s a shame that someone like Angela had to be the victim of the women’s abuse when trying her best to get to the hospital to be with her sick child! Each one of the women that worked at the airport ticket counter should have been fired immediately!! Thank God for the Airport Staff Member,& Manager for helping her. Unkindness has a way of coming back to those that show it to others; you reap what you sow!!
The behaviour of those check in women smacks of playground bullies.
Gosh how could a bunch of airport staff prevent a soldier from boarding a plane to visit her sick daughter in hospital.
Am glad senior airport staff upgraded her ticket to first class when they noticed the soldier crying . The soldier exchanged contact details with the senior airport staff in case she needed further assistance.
Am glad the soldiers daughter was getting better. God bless the top airport who stepped in her hour of need as the acknowledge her service to the country.
God bless them all
Why would they mistreat someone who is putting their life on the line to protect them. Disgusting!
Now that is a good pilot and a good owner .
Thanks God 💯💯💯🙏🙏🙏🙏 God's Always O N Times In The NEEDED Time's
They deserved to be fired for being totally rude
Absolutely people are cruel
The sacrifice that they do for our country, no military or veteran should be mistreated or disrespected. Yes they chose that but if they didn't who would, so we should be grateful to them. Thank you Angela for your service. 😉😉
How about inhumane?
Unfortunately, treatment of passengers continues to be nonchalant. The service desk seems to be careless. Truly numb to passengers.
its disrespect for the bottom line or so they think
Shame on some rude ppl! Should been disciplined
It's 2024 you,d think people would know better. Bless her.
My father served in the Air Force for 21 years. We were stationed in Misawa, Japan, when his father died. He had to go back to the States by himself.
Amazing people gave such a small bit of gratitude for the sacrifices are soldiers do for us
Disgusting behaviour towards a soldier who puts their life on the line so as selfish Joe Public can sleep safely in their beds at night.
She should get special treatment she’s serving our country
Heart breaking she received this kind of treatment. Racial bias is cruel and disrespectful. Glad someone stepped up to help, As i have done several times.Glad she and child are ok.
It wasn't just racial. There are a of people who treat military members like this because they feel we don't deserve respect or good treatment.
What an absolutely beautiful end to the most worst start to her journey. Karen and the other employees that mocked this brave soul should be publicly shamed and their faces shown in training videos of how not to treat people. And especially not the women and men that serve. God bless the manager that resolved this inexcusable incident
I hope ever single one of those idiots at that airport got fired for what they did. That is unacceptable, what they did to her was terrible.
There are Great People in the World. Of High and Low if I can say That. It is all in Spirit, Thank You God
For those calling bs: I totally believe this is true because though I'm white, I recieved the same sort of treatment while I was in the US Army going home while in uniform before being shipped off to my duty station in Germany and I was on a Greyhound bus, true there was no upgrade but still... Here I was a 19 yr old in Virginia trying to get a ticket to Texas, in uniform and I was put off until the last avalible seat after everyone else got their tickets. I wasn't even given a reason. The only apology I got was in the way of a military discount, but back then any soldier got that. I even got a somewhat same reaction as I tried boarding the plane to Germany and that was because the ticket agent question the validity of my military ID since I was female. The male ticket agent didn't like the idea of female soldiers going into a combat zone since Bosnia was going on at the time and most people knew if a soldier was being stationed in Germany, that soldier was going to Bosnia (back in the mid 90s for those that don't know when the Bosnia conflict was).
Im a vet they are lucky i wasnt there at that time. Been a big ass chewing to say the least!!!!
Amen brother, I would've done the same!!!
FACTS
That soldier should've never had to have to go through what she did. That was so rude of that Karen and her co workers, but I'm so glad Tom and the Captain got it straighten out so she could still catch her flight on time so she could get to her sick daughter. God Bless Tom and the Captain for all they done. And I pray the child recovered completely and is doing well and God Bless the mother for all her service and stren❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I thank God for keeping me from be a witness on situations like this, because who knows what i would do. Military and law enforcement dont get the credit they deserve this days. I happen to be in lines at restaurants some times and if i see them i let them take my place. Or i pay for their order. its the least we can do.
Now. That’s how. You should treat. A person. Unlike other. Airport. Staff. In. This. Video
And it don't pay to be nasty because we want like the result
This story must be decades old because nowadays soldiers are prioritized treated with respected and dignity everywhere they go, I have witnessed it.
I am always offended when Americans label each one rather to say “ We are Americans call us one” Despite of what descendant all came from?
I hope Angela and Tom are able to make a connection, provided they are single. It sounds like they might be a great couple!! 😍
Why are people so mean, they need mine what they say and do doesn't care what they say or do....
CUSTOMS SERIOUSLY NEED TO HAVE MANAGER SUPERVISION, EVEN ON THOSE IN CHARGE,
I WAS DETAINED FOR 1 HOUR IN BUFFALO, WHICH MADE ME MISS MY FLIGHT TO SALT LAKE, AND LEFT ME STUCK IN CHICAGO AIRPORT FOR 7 HOURS.
There will always be those rude idiots out there who
treat others hateful. Think they are entitled to act however
they want not caring the hurt they bring to others.
Angela is a mother who fights for our country and also needs to get to her daughter who is sick.
The hateful staff who was so mean needs to be fired and
not work on ANY airline.
GOD Bless Tom for standing up for this sweet lady, mom and soldier.
To ANGELA, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE and GOD
BLESS YOU, YOUR DAUGHTER and TOM.
PRAYING YOUR DAUGHTER IS DOING WELL NOW.
I really do wish you would stick with the same actors !!!!
Yes, it’s distracting
Yes, it makes it so unreal and less important when it’s just numerous of peoples faces that seem not to even connect with what is being said
You know what they need to be fired and not get all their paychecks
I did service in the military (Canadian) and I have come across some people that don't show respect to us! IT doesn't matter what color of skin or gender when you put the uniform you become a member, you put your life on the line to keep people safe even the ones that disrespectful and rude ? I do hope that they been fired airports don't need that kind of people
Wish. James. And Tom. Went with the mother
Isn't this a civil rights violation?
I might be misunderstanding the situation, but if Angela was trying to get on a flight home, she probably wasn't in America. She was a US citizen, but it's unclear if Karen and her colleagues were. Combine the fact that this didn't happen on US soil, and the fact that Karen and her friends might not have been US residents, and the process for what happens to Karen could be a little complicated
Yes civil rights violation Thankyou tom for stepping up helping service lady on the plane to see her daughter
Thank you for reminding us to be better people.
Treating war veterans with respect is important if the airport team want it too, why were they keen to stop the veteran from boarding ?? Definitely racism due to melanin again, like most hate-related cases at most!!! Should they not worry about their careers if the bosses hear of such rude treatment?? They can kiss the promotions and perks goodbye if they don't at least apologize for their actions and resolve to be better in general. Remember, everyone, it costs nothing to be kind and respectful. You will get more back in return for good deeds and even more if you let ignorance overrule such acts!!! Yikes!!!
I don’t believe the airline staff would act like this. Tired of racism these promote. Time to stop this garbage.
Perfect justice!
God bless you Angela and your family
Pretty sure that's not what was said😉🤣
You could have told this story in about 2 minutes.
I my husband and I served 20 years on the Air Force and during the Gulf War. My husband is buried at Arlington
We were proud to have served our country. After serving in S. KOREA I knelt done and kissed the ground we walk on as we take so much fir granted living in the U.S
The Illegals immigrants are getting more help than our soldiers. Yes, we volunteered to serve, if we didn't, you would have the draft back. I thank my fellow soldiers and veterans for their service and sacrifices. God bless our soldiers past and present.
Tom. Is. An. Angelę. On earth At. The. Airport. Wear. He. Works
I fly a lot and I’ve never seen any airport employees do this. They usually let military be one of the first to board after handicap. And most of the cities have a very diverse staff. If this actually happened they should be ashamed. But good for “Tom”
I don't know who wrote this or what Planet they live on but There are many people of color in the Military
Tom and his boss should be commended!
I'm finding this one hard to believe - I've never seen airport staff treat uniformed military this way - in 40 years of flying.
How rude. This lady severed our Country, and you treat her like this. You needed to be fired.
This video only just came up. It would be nice to hear if the service woman and that guy who helped her into first class flight got together if both are/were single.
"They should have been in jail for such a disgrace" to her of her color
I don’t know if this is a true story but it made me angry just to think of treating anyone like they treated her. It was taken to the next level to think of any member of our military being subjected to such cruel treatment. Until one has walked in the shoes and experienced the despair of serving in a duty station so far from your loved ones. Trying to get home in an emergency and the sense of urgency, is enormous. While serving in Germany, and spending more than 24 hours trying to get home on emergency leave due to serious medical conditions of my sister and not knowing if I’d get there in time.
Unfortunately I have met some unhelpful staff when flying
I think most of us veterans have a story like this or know of someone who's been through it.
Taking negative action against a service member for filing a complaint, raising concerns, or exercising their legal rights is a serious offense. If you experience retaliation after filing a separate complaint or raising an issue within the chain of command, an Article 138 complaint can address this injustice. so if im correct the sodier wins and the airport staff is in the loss
For one thing, federal law requires the preferred status. These employees need not only fired but jail time, 2 years minimum.
Not all the airport cared about the service people because my fiance was injured because of the driver of the person who was driving the machine that hit him and injured him and he had to have surgery and they aren't paying for the whole bill which only paid $2,000.00 and his bill is over $4,000.00 dollars and don't they enter people but don't want to pay the bill
Were these ticket agents fired for Christ's sake. Story not happily ended.
Is there a reason why you use so many different ppl to be the same person. I think it's stupid
It would have been good if you stated the Country. I do not see this happening in z America as half of the plane is filled with people of different races including black. My husband was an agent at a major airport for 33 years and this would not happen or be acceptable.
It’s not a true story
Why is so many people change to tell the story
hey work out my mom crast out my sister in law
Figures her name was Karen 😒
This sounds like a made up story. Why no videos of incident. We have videos of every movement on earth, especially airports. Hum
It’s. Bout race. Nothing else
Karma will come to visit those who are so unfeeling. Even The Bible says, those who treat people like that Will be repaid. Also those who treat others honorably will also be repaid just not as the for mentioned will be. In short, what one sends around will come back around.
This may seem like an inspiring story and could have been except for being told without any explanation of what was wrong with the soldier's ticket. .... The hint that it was because the solider was black is disingenuous. This is a public airport. Such public discrimination by staff.does not occur. .... I believe this entire story is fiction. There are other parts that also make little sense. .... However I am offended by the implication of making it due to race. ... There could have been other reasons why a ticket would be refused, but I am certain the airport staff would have found a solution without it resulting the soldier being so treated. .....
That is because you probably have not experienced racism!
Good story but quit dragging it out.
No one should disrespect our military man or woman. The very rights and privileges are safe because of our military.
I would not fly this airline
It’s totally made up
BS
what a bs post

As a black growing up in the 50and 60s. I was moved tears by this story. My Mother raised me to believe this world is made up of Good and the Evil. In the dark times in America. Tom brought my Mother teaching full circle. To stand against bullys, feed the hungry and help if needed. God knows the Heart ❤️. To alway Love and despise hate. Thanks for reinforcing my belief in the goodness in a Loving person heart.😢😂❤
If this is true, I want to know the name of the airline!!!!
