Protip: if you want to get the helmet off easily, use a glue debonder, lift the helmet up a bit to make a bit of a gap and put in some glue debonder, works like a charm. The helmet is still a little tight to get on and off, so would recommend maybe sanding/cutting the inside a bit to loosen it slightly.
When I started removing my Phase 1 Clone Trooper helmet I thought it might be better to roll off, but wasn't sure if the helmet would stretch enough without tearing. Boiling water and pliers wasn't working then I came across your video. It confirmed that you can roll off so that's what I did, but peeled the helmet off instead of cutting away at the glue. Hasbros quality control has gotten embarrassing with the recent figures. I had to finish the brow on mine. The incinerator trooper has his backpack on upside down and mine has a wonky shaped head too. Just really poor.

Hi, I don't know if it a little late to ask but I recently gotten into collecting stormtrooper figures and one of my BS Stormy came with a warped head (similar to the one in the thumbnail). If I only want to to fix the warping problem and not removing the head, do I only need to dunk the head in boiling water and bend it slightly back to shape?
You know, to dissolve the glue you could buy 100% acetone from a hardware store, and pour that in the inside of the helmet once you have peeled it back enough.
Has anyone tried to fit an archive Luke or Bespin Han head in the helmet? The new shinier plastic and the sculpt on these new troopers is way better than the old ones.

Buff88 I use Vallejo air, which is nice because it comes pre thinned so you can use it right out of the model. I use restores enamel paints for visors and stuff but I didn’t really like their acrylic paints as much
So this is what i do in short words, Boil for 20 seconds remove neck place back in for 45 seconds pull it out and the head is back to its normal shape? or do i still need to remove the head for it to be normal.
Generally a good rule of thumb is to keep them out of direct sunlight. If you have paint errors or blemishes you can clean them in with a fine tipped q tip and non dyeing nail polish remover. Other than that there are some ways to reverse aging of plastics but those generally involve using chemicals

Id be very careful doing this, my clone trooper is now broken. instead of the whole neck part coming out as said in the video, the part that connects the neck and head came out, and after putting it back the head is completely limp
I've done about 20 at this point and never ran into that issue. Maybe put a dab on super glue to tighten the joint? Sounds like you might've gotten one with a QC issue or something, sorry about that man

Has anyone tried just drilling a tiny hole through the top of the helmet through to the head to try and dislodged the glue to see if it'll come off that way? Small holes can be patched pretty easily.
I received the figures from this wave I preordered today ... Just to put some context, I preordered 2 Vaders, 2 Mandos in Beskar, 2 troopers and a Luke in snowspeeder suit. Love the mando, really gorgeous .. Although it's almost just a repaint of the previous version (Except the chestplate and the shoulder pads that are a new sculpt), it looks amazing, the previous version was excelent too, but with the shiny armor, it looks just incredible. Love also Luke (Don't have the previous one to compare tho) ... but it looks great. Really like Vader, still unsure which one I like the most, if the previous version or this one. (Disliked from the previous version the brown eyes, don't know why that color to be honest, if they wanted to do them red and happened to miss the color blending or what, but apart from that was excellent). And from this one I don't like that the saber is a little shorter. Excellent figure anyway. But what I don't like at all, are the troopers .. not sure if mine (both) were faulty or what, but the head is just not right, it's totally crooked, in any way you look at it. Also they have one foot bigger than the other!. And to finish talking about it, if you align the chestplate to the abs on the front, it is unaligned in the back, and viceversa. It's a shame cause I think the body in general looks more reallitic and I think I would like the figures even more than the previous versions if they wouldn't have all these quality control issues.
Kaminoan Customs i might give it a try cuz I have 3 of them ordered and being shipped soon. Hopefully they are in good condition lol but if not I might just buy a 3D printed helmet
That poor clone has brain damage now. I'm suprised they used The Mandalorian Boba Fett head for the Stormtroopers way back then. They should have just painted the heads and made the helmets removable to avoid squished helemets. Wtf Hasbro?!
Wild that they did this with the clone trooper too. Like why not just give us a removable helmet?

Karan Grewal yep! But I would give it like a day to get maximum hardness. Hot glue dries kinda rubbery so it’s easy to pull out

Acetone will mess up the plastic. That's why, when he uses acetone to remove the paint, he is very gentle and minimal with it.
U should also add the black gasket around the bottom of the helmet

I used a dremel and made it where the helmet comes on/off easy and plan on painting the head so a removable helmet trooper

Lao Che only on the chest cause it’s a different plastic. If you use small amounts on the chest it won’t damage it though

Josh VII I got a 3D printed head and painted it, I am not a fan of the helmet sculpt on the original but yes you could unwarp it in a similar way
