I hope this doesn’t come off harsh, because I am just glad to see the show, but the delivery of some of these lines just feel forced. The natural flow of Dulcich and Freiburger, can’t be scripted. This feels more like the shows that we all came to Roadkill to get away from.
Any time I see them I'm happy. I'm not mad too if their show is pay to view they got bills too. I do not have spare income to pay their work so anything free is a bless from the lord almighty above. For the staged stuff yeah ok not amazing but the Dulchic is a bless every time.
It was always scripted. But, it is obviously not the same without Frieburger with his decades long extensive history with Dulcich and his project car collection
Dulcich was always an unsung hero of the show, quietly pulling off his magic - always a fan of his, he and Dave were great together too Nobody bangshifts like Steve - I drove stick all my life he is the master
I have a buddy with a 73', and he still has the factory .400 in his garage, but we built, and dropped in a .440 magnum. In 2006, we put on a 6 pak. I have another friend that has a 74', we bought and built a .440, and dropped that puppy in. That one, we restored. No rust now with tons of mini patches, new fenders and quarters, trunk extentions floor pans, we painted it in January up in Michigan. Everything was taken off and removed except the rear-end, which was done the following year. But from start to finish of the initial project... 10 months. First car show... first place out of 20 car in the category, and it was all. MOPAR.
Man this video brings back so many memories,my Dad had a brown 1974 Charger, 318 and put over 300thousand miles on it in Pennsylvania. He also had a 1978 Little Red Express truck with the 360.
I've gotta say that the improvements at the Dulcich compound look fantastic!! Getting alot of those vehicles out of the weather & away from the rabbits was a awesome move!! Protect those investments!! Can't wait to see this Muscle Truck evolution completed!! And as much as I'm a quarter mile fan, that Charger is SCREAMING vintage NASCAR!!! It's got the right stance already!! Best of luck to you all!!👍
We knew a guy named Ray growing up that talked like Elmer Fudd. He loved to tell everyone his car had a Fwee 18 B8 wif a 2 bare roll cob urator ! LOL Ray was quite a character. Great engine them mopars !
I had basically the same car back in the 80's. Same year, colors, and trim, but with a 318. "Broam" trim pack i think? Awesome to drive, kinda floated down the road, hood looked huge , and you could never forget to shut you blinker off with the little blinker lights on the hood facing back at you. Great car!
LOVE IT. The only gripe I have is that I cant watch it anymore in Australia. I had watched it for years and them NOTHING. I subscribed to Songbird for my fix of Mopar - Dont take him away too. You have to stop teasing me with these short episodes.
I always thought the truck demanded a big block, that’s why the small blocks kept blowing up.I guess now it will be happy. If Eagle 6.4 heads flow 330 cfm stock I’m betting on 375 for those. My bid on the horsepower is over 600 hp out of that Little Hemi. Since you have farmer roots maybe add some “Warlock” pinstripes and oak side rails to taste. By the way Indy cylinder heads makes a “ModMan” intake for the Gen III Hemi that can take a six pack setup, dual quads or a single 4 barrel. A SixPack Hemi has a Nice ring. What a Great little Truck. “A little HEMI Express Truck” maybe.
I was a Mopar guy when I first started out I had a 69 roadrunner and a 68 Dodge charger and my friend had a black 68 Dodge charger RT 440 Magnum built with a bigger cam we took the automatic out put a four-speed behind it it would run a hundred seventy-five miles an hour it would eat a big block Chevy in a heartbeat
My Dad was a Chrysler man,,, we had 1929 Plymouth ,1949 Royal 1950 Dodge Sedan ,1962 1963 1964 Valiant s 1964 Polara big block 1968 sport fury 1971 fury 1965 barracuda 1966 barracuda 1969 barracuda 1972 Cuda AAR tribute, 1971 Challenger RT 383 Magnum low miles no rust on any of the e bodies, ,,super rare in Canada. 2 dusters , a 1973 with rally wheels sb la 318 with floor shift, mine was 1975 with 225 winter beater, my brother had 2 cudas and a D stock dart look alike with the hemi hood,,, Our friend next door just passed away, miss her . back in the 80s she called our house Tippers used car lot. My Dad worked his way up in a Chrysler Dealer to be a Service Manager, from 1950s to 1975, when I was a young boy in the early 70s he would sometimes bring home a new muscle car , best one was a road runner big block ,I think it was a last of the 440 1972s , my brother and I loved it. I think my Dad missed his job at Chrysler as he worked as a Insurance appraiser, so he brought home a 1973 big block charger se,,, He died to early of Cancer, think about him every day,. My dream would be to one day find a 1971 to 1974 Charger to take my kids for a ride in it and I can tell them stories about their Grampa they never got to meet. Steve ,he would have loved watching you You are a good man.
That guy in the black shirt, it's extremely obvious when he's speaking naturally vs when he's just repeating a line fed to him. I dunno why but he does a lot better when he's just talking like a regular guy.
Wicked build love this truck, question tho how do you go through soo many engines running too lean to get more power and blowing them up pinking?? I always slightly over fuel and have them set up with whole car on dyno. Only tome ive killed an engine is running it too lean
And that's really saying something🤣 because at one point he was the most awkward one on camera. I do like that goofy personality, and I love that although he looks like a regular backyard mechanic, he actually has an engineering background
Its pretty evident that everyone feels the same cable tv ruined Roadkill, I understand why they partnered with dodge and got a TV deal to further there show but what made roadkill special was just Mike and David going to junk yards with no money and build some random concoction of a car for the sheer why not aspect they have build some amazing cars over the years and I know this is the next evolution nicer junkers and better ability to make everything save and legal in a shop with a lift and parts and help but its just not the same, Its rather unfortunate tbh all the good ones die
Can Dulich be replaced on Engine Masters? Nothing against him, he's done double duty, he's shown great versatility, it's just he FREEHANDED machined an engine head and that can't stand, can it?
The Charger needs a Petty inspired paint. They were definitely his favorite race cars. They are said to be extremely stable with very low Cd, over 200 mph might be possible with 650 or 700hp
I couldn't finish the video. The 2 guys just ruin it. They don't seem like they are happy to be there, they don't want to get dirty and the chemistry just isn't there. Give them their own show to get them comfortable
"I care a lot for it" "I got it from a junkyard for $900" Well you got ripped off because I don't even need to switch to Widescreen to see that thing ain't straight.
Bring back all the shows to TH-cam! Ever since motor trend was bought by a corporate profit entity your viewership has gone downhill. Since subscription levels have tanked might as well keep it alive somehow!
These guys make it feel like a job as where David and Steve are genuinely loving what they are doing it projects that and shows
That’s how I strive to be one day
I hope this doesn’t come off harsh, because I am just glad to see the show, but the delivery of some of these lines just feel forced. The natural flow of Dulcich and Freiburger, can’t be scripted. This feels more like the shows that we all came to Roadkill to get away from.
Switch to Haggerty, you won’t be disappointed.
@@michaela9857 not the same roots

Wow, road driving that old charger in the orange orchard reminds me of the scenes from Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry!!!
That's exactly what I thought.

Muscle cars are worth all the hard work!
Motor trend might as well be a bunch of 20 year Olds just trying to make money. Motor trend is so douchey and spoiled now. Unsub, good riddance.
It's cool to see Chris Birdsong get some camera time on Roadkill. He is a Mopar wizard!
In 1980 I had one, 1974 Dodge Charger 318ci...Loved that car...
I should be building one soon
gotta respect a hot rodder who assembles his own engines
I would love to go to that farm and do something with Dulcich. Should be a contest where you win a two day package of Mopar madness!
We knew a guy named Ray growing up that talked like Elmer Fudd. He loved to tell everyone his car had a Fwee 18 B8 wif a 2 bare roll cob urator ! LOL Ray was quite a character. Great engine them mopars !
Wouldn't that be cob you wait ah
My parents use to live in Madera. I love this part of CA in general. Awarding winning wine next to hoarders central.
I like this dodge the only 1 so far I think looks good them mags do it justice

Love the truck I have 2 rust free dodge pickups, the charger looks like a Detroit rust bucket I scrapped 30 years ago.
Good to see Chris on here...👍
Too cool seeing Chris on camera. It works!

I'm a Dulcich Bro!
really enjoyed that 74 Charger !!
Same I’m wanting to do mine soon

KING RICHARD PETTYS FAVOURITE
3RD GEN CHARGER
Wicked build love this truck, question tho how do you go through soo many engines running too lean to get more power and blowing them up pinking??
I always slightly over fuel and have them set up with whole car on dyno.
Only tome ive killed an engine is running it too lean
Loved the "Gotta pay your dues" video!
Great episode! These guys were hilarious. (lol)
Dulcic is the life of the show….
He is also the only genuine guy left. Rest are sell outs
Dulcich*
And that's really saying something🤣 because at one point he was the most awkward one on camera. I do like that goofy personality, and I love that although he looks like a regular backyard mechanic, he actually has an engineering background
I'm kinda glad I'm a Motortrend+ subscriber. This episode sucks without Freiburger
@8:00 We gotta quick just casual FREEHAND machine the heads. 😲😧😳🤯
thanks steve and apprentices
Amazing Dodge !! 😁😁😎😎
👍
✌Hey Birdsong those acting lessons are paying off 😊
These guys are awsome
Finally you guys made it beyond 70 charger.
Good luck 👍
That's it guys if we don't finish this car we're going to lose the shop
I'm just wondering when you guys are going to cut the fenders and install huge baja tires on it and take it to the sand dunes?
My mother had a ‘74 charger se with a 318 about 20 yrs ago….she bought it for $75 with a rod knock……
First Episode of roadkill garage without freiburger
I hate to be that guy, but they did an episode with the cougar and no Freiburger
Why?
@@Michael-mo1lx i dont know when its not on the show he still with the familiy
I missed the old roadkil
Awesome Episode, I need more.
I think I heard the door handle hit the pavement………..ya….. I heard that lol
Steve and his new teeth are awesome. Lookin good buddy! Although, i don't remember your teeth being that bad before, but either way. Nice Smile!
Birdsong looks like he is going either Mennonite or Mormon with that beard
Keep lifting with your backs. Its only good for you!
Do a video on the charger!
Nice episode, but where is Freiberger? Where is Finnegan???
Steve is the best.
I had one similar. 440
Birdsong has Aussie style
Everything feels scripted the reason I like this show was because It was regular type of human speaking now its cheesy
Dulcich those veneers are pearly white.
Another great video guys!!
318s r good but you have to be careful
Was him Chris birdsong?
Its pretty evident that everyone feels the same cable tv ruined Roadkill,

Great vid, very cool!!!!!!!!!
Steve is the man
Can Dulich be replaced on Engine Masters? Nothing against him, he's done double duty, he's shown great versatility, it's just he FREEHANDED machined an engine head and that can't stand, can it?
Do all Roadkill cars have to have a misfire?
Cracks me up when I see Dulcich's new teeth.... did he get em at a swap meet?
The Charger needs a Petty inspired paint. They were definitely his favorite race cars. They are said to be extremely stable with very low Cd, over 200 mph might be possible with 650 or 700hp
Gretta is pissed...
Wiley is Awful…
I couldn't finish the video. The 2 guys just ruin it. They don't seem like they are happy to be there, they don't want to get dirty and the chemistry just isn't there. Give them their own show to get them comfortable
Where did Freiburger Go?
@2:28 Sweat rag thrown onto engine block with open EVERYTHING...Is this what happens at the Mechanic's when nobody's watching???
how come all your motors blow up?
The water jackets on the 5.7 hemi are so gross wtf?? Why do all the work redoing the motor to leave all that in there
"If it HITS anywhere, we'll have to regrind"
That's the standard of excellence?
If it just barely does the minimum of function?
Mopar muscle truck should be like the Chevy truck! Just drop in a 6.4 modern motor in it!!!! Find a wrecked SRT Durango.
Sounds like the charger has a dead cylinder.
Too busy Dave .??...Too bad...
It was a plasticbag. Now its a Seat cover..😂😂🙈
New lows in lameness
Or is that a new high?
No… non smokers
Super square
Kripes!
"I care a lot for it"
"I got it from a junkyard for $900"
Well you got ripped off because I don't even need to switch to Widescreen to see that thing ain't straight.
Dulčić when will you come to your homeland Croatia!..
Dude is wearing the same camo shorts for 17 seasons and I'm supposed to pay for this??
So, when did MT go goof?
Bring back all the shows to TH-cam! Ever since motor trend was bought by a corporate profit entity your viewership has gone downhill. Since subscription levels have tanked might as well keep it alive somehow!
Poor ole charger running on 7 cylinders but she's running lol
These guys belong on Power Block. Not here
Gee...how can I not say something negative?
God this stuff is soooo scripted
I like the subjectmatter on MotorTrend but the highly produced "sitcom" style means i never get through an episode.
Please don’t let Wiley talk it’s like watching the ole dry eyes commercials
ugh
I hate these guys bring back Freiburger it feels so incomplete
Who are these Jabronis?
Merica
@4:04 Who is this new guy? Who died and let you in?? When was the funeral???
Steve,
Your D100 is Bad to The Bone.
A hair cut maybe?
12 minutes? THATS ALL!!! BOOO THUMBS DOWN
