Do you think it can engrave on a Flask? Also what are some other brands acrylics we can use and lastly LOL, can we put the 3mm adhesive on the back of the acrylics if we remove they masking backing like I see ppl do with the Regular GF. Thanks in advance
Hi!! 😊 I haven’t engraved on a flask yet, but I’m thinking maybe those flat flasks could work with the cutting tray removed. I’ve been loving using Houston Acrylic lately! And yes, I’m sure using 3mm on the back of acrylics would work too!
Honestly, I still need to work on my alignment, especially when doing multiple at once! For my Glowforge Pro (and I've tested this on the Aura too), placing up the item dead center under the camera seems to work the best every time. Will keep you updated! 😊
I hate my Aura. The support sucks and it’s just anyone trying to cut stuff. I bought basswood plywood not with veneer since I wanted to paint it. It is laser safe(or do the prod description says). I used light basswood setting and when it was done the plywood cracked and basically disintegrated.
Randomly came across your channel. Can’t believe the settings aren’t already on the Glowforge website. Thanks for the tips!
Do you know what the settings would be on a Glowforge Plus HD for slate?
I just ant to say you were just what I needed for my aura Thank you so very much
YAY! Thank you, this means so much! Hope you are enjoying your Aura so far!

I haven't had luck engraving on metal, but colored metal (that is silver when etched) might work
How about Black @@tiaralynn
As long as it's engraving through some sort of coating (black, for example) it should work just fine. @@SilhouetteAcademy
Hi! Where is part one? I’m having trouble finding it 😢
youre my shero!!!❤ gonna subscribe!
Thanks for this. Would you say lining the slate along the edge helps with design alignment? My keeps coming out just a little bit crooked.
