Just found your channel. I almost failed home economics 37 years ago because of the 9 weeks of sewing and the ridiculous shirt we had to make. 😖 Had you been my teacher, I might have the courage to use my machine for more than hems and assisting embroidery projects. Being able to tailor clothes is such a gift!

For anyone who has never done gathers before: I would recommend sewing two parallel stitches and pulling the top two threads!! It makes it easier to pull and especially helpful on heavier fabrics so your thread doesn’t snap! :))

I telling you now you crack me up every time. I don't know if you are just making statement off the top of your head or you plan them but which ever way it done, it so entertaining and have some shock factor that bring me to tears because I am laughing so hard. I've got the covid body going on at this moment so not too much a fan of the corset top look but I have a big supply of men dress shirts and I like what you did to the shoulders for a better fit. This tutorial was great and provided some great information to use when altering a top. I will try this option to give a better fit. I loved this. Also another way to explain the gathering would be to say when you have finished doing the bottom piece. Gather the top piece to fit the bottom piece. Match the seam lines up as you gather and the ends to the ends. I love your creations and hope to try it when I find the perfect shirt. Xx
