I could never sell a guitar to NRGs. If it made it onto GOTD I’d be sick to hear what it’s true potential would be in the gifted hands of Michael Lemmo! I could listen to him all day long doing Jeff Buckley, Hendrix and of course his own original music. We are privileged to have daily access through these videos to such a talented artist.
Wow I don't comment much, but this one sounds incredible! The bass on those lower strings is so rich and the high strings so bright and glassy!

I got a 97" Fender Hendrix VoodooCaster, very similar. left-handed neck on right body, reverse angle bridge pickup play It nearly everyday. Love it. Love your show 🎸🤘

Check out the Mexican maid ones. They’re the same Guitar but a lot more affordable.
get some musikraft parts and build yourself one. it's stupid to spend 4.5K on a strat when you can build one that will sound just as good if not better.
I could listen to this guy play unaccompanied for days. His touch is amazing. He can make any make or model sound good. This guitar was no exception. 🔥🔥👍👍

Did you know that Jimi played a broom when he was a kid? Grew up very poor and 1 day his father got him his first guitar. The man had a very hard childhood but in return made him 1 of the greatest blues guitarist. Just a little fun fact. Thank you for sharing this video.
It is #straturday BABY! I love white strats and I have one but it isn't a Jimi Hendrix Voodoo Chile guitar...they are so cool though! Great job Brandon, Michael and Jen! BUT, let us all thank the one and only Jimi Hendrix...he changed the world!

Fender + Fender = Pure rock and roll bliss. I am a drummer and watch many of these and the tones on this are so moving and inspirational!!!! Great playing as well. One of the best sounding setups I have ever heard!

@10:20 Never noticed the Strat 5-way switch being used in #VoodooChild #Sick Reminds me of seeing #BlackhawkDown in the theater with #VoodooChild playing during the Spec Ops Helo Assault. It was like #JimiHendrix was there playing through a giant #MarshallSLP Stack.
Of course, the Fender Custom Shop Olympic White Jimi Hendrix Voodoo Child Strat with the reverse headstock and crooked pickup is also #Sick.

Despite not being personally thrilled any longer with signature editions, this Hendrix signature definitely smoked. How much that had to do with the guitar itself and how much it had to do with Michael's playing is a different matter.

PO'd he tore into a '58 RI Flying V from '82. Wound up getting the guitar later.

Awesome guitar and tone! If I didn't have too many Strats already I would grab it. Guitar Acquisition Syndrome always creates a challenge when I watch these videos.
I was able to kick a long-term drug addiction, but G.A.S. is a different matter. That said, why wouldn't a Hendrix Strat just be a lefty flipped and restrung? Don't mistake me, I would lovingly accept it and care for it and love it, but the upside down headstock combined with the correctly oriented body/flipped bridge pick-up is a little peculiar. Plus, as Hendrix played a standard righty flipped over, the trem arm was accordingly positioned closer to the low E than than near the high E, as on the Voodoo Chile'. Hmmm. Still a desirable axe!

I think one thing they could have done was reverse the bridge so the whammy bar is the other way around
I had a friend many years ago that played a right handed guitar upside down left handed with the hi E at the top.

That is a sweet strat! I’ve always thought to myself that most Strat’s and Tele’s would probably sound better with the reverse angle pickup so they would be less ice picky ? I wonder why we don’t see it more often?

I thought the only factor in determining tension for a given string gauge was the scale length of the guitar. Does the length of string between the nut and tuner really make a difference?

Pretty groovy custom stratocater one problem the pickups aren't for playing with teeth or tongue.When you raise the guitar up pickups need to slanted downwards by the strings when raise it up

I had one of these from the first run. The bridge pickup was very cool. That's the main selling point. '69 "Abbey" pickups. The tuners were a pain upside down. The neck was wrong for me and I didn't care for the Alder body either, so I sold it. There was a cheapo version a few years ago that was complete garbage.
That was good! Just take it easy on the reverb boy lol.

If Hendrix played this one (upside down), it would look more normal. Anyway, this one's got great vibes and maple board goodness. Hope one of its future owners doesn't "collect" it but plays the heck out of it.

The sheer legacy of hendrix makes this one beyond cool. All the nuiances of the right tone without fighting with the tone knob like other hendrix recreations - but that is how hendrix played it, still badass in this version and more practical to boot. My new mix 'blues eternal' has stevie ray and Gary moore playing hendrix. Even without the man himself the deep impression he made on music is preserved in these two uber masters. The self taught genius is never far from the generations he inspired. Check out blues eternal for the underground history of America. How cool is this guitar? - beyond cool... the Cat - see channel.
