Thank you so much for this tutorial! As a very broke student who crochets in my spare time but can't really afford patterns, I'm so grateful to people like you! I've just finished the jumper and I love it so much :)

The foundation chain stretching makes so much sense I started a sweater before the one I’m working on now and the first one is now a blanket bc I didn’t know how much the chain would grow!!! Now I understand thank you so much
I decided to buy some natural yarn worth over 60€ and take on a sweater project as a beginner😅😅 I've searched and searched and searched but didn't find a good tutorial that explains it understandable and clear for a BEGINNER. This is such a great tutorial. I love the way you did the ribbing too. I recently made a beanie that had a ribbed brim and after 5 attempts, I realized I was never going to get it to look quite as nice as I wanted, but this method is far simpler. Thank you for taking the time to make such a great tutorial!

This pattern is so good and easy for beginners! One thing I will note that a friend and I both struggled with while making this is the sleeve measurement. It’s stated that you should measure at the top of your arm where your regular shoulder seam would be. This is not the case for this project as the sweater body is built with a drop shoulder style. You can see this in the beginning preview too - so consider this before you sew everything together and have to take it all apart like I did!!
Yes! There should have been an increase made for the shoulder area because it doesn't come together properly. It's so upsetting. :( I have to take it apart now.
@@bethparis8228 all I really ended up doing was putting on the body of the sweater once I sewed the front and back panels together, then I could see how far down the top of my arm the panels went. From there you can see how many inches you should omit and begin the measurement not from the top of your arm but rather from about where the panel stops dropping
This is my second time making a sweater and I find this tutorial SO much more explanatory than the first. I wish I found this video, especially for your sewing technique. So easy and simple

This tutorial is absolutely amazing, and I've watched quite a lot of them recently, but I think my favourite thing is that you don't base the pattern on any particular sizing, instead using garments that people already feel comfortable in. I have found other crochet clothes really difficult to make because the size never seems quite right. So knowing it is based on something I already feel happy in makes me so much more comfortable throwing the time and materials into this project. Thank you!!!
I finished my first panel and I’m so excited to watch your tutorial and see it all come together! You’re a great teacher and so happy this pattern can be customizable! This is my first big, wearable crochet project and I’m so excited🥺
your tutorial's one of the most comprehensive ones i've watched. i decided to finally give sweater making a try, and you make the parts that intimidated me originally much easier to understand. i've made a shirt but it's got a square neck shape since i didn't know how to do a proper collar, and i never understood how you'd do the sleeves, this tutorial clears all that up. thanks for uploading! ❤
When crocheting your tails into your work, I recommend making a bulky knot like a triple overhand knot or a leaf knot with the tail so it doesn't pull out of you stitches over time. Especially if you're making something that will stretch a lot like a sweater hope this helps :)

So I did really enjoy making this but I’m afraid I will end up frogging this project.

Im doing the same measurements in your video because they fit me quite well but i was just wondering if i could use a different stitch other than single crochet. Thank you so much!❤
Great tutorial. I have learned so much from this but am dissapointed by the fit. The armpits are snug and uncomfortable for my body type. The only thing I wished was covered in this video was the option to increase at the elbow if needed. But knowing what I know now, I will remember that mistake for future projects.
Hi! First of all, your video is the most understandable video I've ever seen. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I really needed this video, especially the sleeve sewing part, because that wasn't really clear for me from other videos. But you are a really good teacher, thank you!❤ If I can have a question, I'd like to ask, if I'm making this sweater with double crochet stitches, when I am attaching the sleeves, do I have to make the same steps you showed us?😊

I’m so excited to try this!! The only thing I’ve ever crocheted is a beanie and I have the cutest yarn but don’t know what to do with it. From the comments it looks really helpful and o think it will look amazing
I can say that this is so easy for me from watching it I kind of liked it
This was so easy to follow and really helpful as a beginner. Thanks so much 🙂
I'm glad I could help! :)
Grazie per i suoi consigli mi aiutamo ad essere meno catastrofica e tentare di abbandonare i ricordi del passato ❤

Just found this video and I’m so excited to try it!! Thank you!
Enjoy!
I really enjoyed this tutorial, very easy to follow and the sweater is easily made into different sizes. I just didn’t love how the sweater looked on, because there’s no decreases at the sleeves the sweater looks slightly off. So I did really enjoy making this but I’m afraid I will end up frogging this project.
Thank you so much! I made my first crochet sweater ever!! ♥️ Now my husband just asked me to make him one 😄. You’re the best 🤗
By the way, I want to ask if you have any instructions to make a turtle neck (collar). I really love to have one but don’t know how to crochet it ☹️ Many thanks 🥰
this made what seemed hard like way easier thank youuuu :D
I'm glad the video helped! :)
:D
I have never in my life crocheted but now I want to start xD

That's awesome! And thank you :)
I absolutely loved this tutorial, i do have one question before i start working on it. Can i do this same pattern with double crochets instead? Im doing the same measurements in your video because they fit me quite well but i was just wondering if i could use a different stitch other than single crochet. Thank you so much!❤
ilyyyy❤️❤️❤️❤️ this is the base 4 everything!!!
Im Vietnamese so another english's sweater tutorial was so hard 4 me to follow!!! Thank u so muchhhh
@@YenNhiNguyen-xx8nh I'm so glad you were able to follow along!
Great tutorial. I have learned so much from this but am dissapointed by the fit. The armpits are snug and uncomfortable for my body type. The only thing I wished was covered in this video was the option to increase at the elbow if needed. But knowing what I know now, I will remember that mistake for future projects.
I love your positivity! 🪷🌸
man, crocheting SEEM SO EASY
Omg you are the best tysm i am a beginner and that helped so so much❤
Thank you so much for this tutorial it was super helpful
Love this!! Going to make this with some pastels ❤️
That'd be so cute!
Hi! First of all, your video is the most understandable video I've ever seen. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I really needed this video, especially the sleeve sewing part, because that wasn't really clear for me from other videos. But you are a really good teacher, thank you!❤ If I can have a question, I'd like to ask, if I'm making this sweater with double crochet stitches, when I am attaching the sleeves, do I have to make the same steps you showed us?😊
Wait! What a great tutorial! I love it, thank you! Subbed.
Thank you! :)
just finished my first panel and i think I made it too big ! going for the oversized look I guess hahaha ~ This is such a helpful tutorial for my first sweater, thank u so much

@@brittanyalicecrochet ❤
Thank you, @brittanyalicecrochet, so much for this tutorial. I started my first crochet sweater and am so lost with a different video. So thankful I found this one. The person I am making this sweater for would like the neck to be a bit lower. Kindly advise how I can account for that using this video. I am working with 2 color hdc stitches. Any suggestions on how to make the ribbing smaller would be much appreciated too. Thank you again.
