I used to help my grandfather when I was a wee lad. He used to reload for the town police. I used an orange colored press, put in a small copper cap, and a ribbed lead piece, then pull the handle down, which seated the lead into the copper, and greased the whole piece.

Sounds like he was putting on gas checks on the bottom of lead bullets...Cool!
