Used this as a base of my ship build this morning. I used a C class reactor from a pirate ship I grabbed. 40 power is a little over kill but it works good.
Cute little ship! I’ll have to check out that weapon. If I built it I would use either a Hopetech or Taiyo Armory with the brig. Use the empty version so its clean, make the back section a personal room, the mid section the brig/armory and the front with the suit/weapon/etc tables. Or if you want a hair more room, swap the C-reactor for the 39 point B-reactor and add a 1x1 to dress up as you like.
I found with galbank storm breaker mk 1 keep the reactor, 2 engines,all of the weapons(but replace missle with 2 emp weapons, the stock shield, then either make it a compact version half the size ship or change Hull makes a pretty effective and deadly gunship .
Very sleek looking. I have a similar micro class c battle ship too. Only 2 weapon classes as well. Use 3 class c em weapons just to make it easier to take over other ships. Have 9 crew in mine due to control room & cockpit tho. But yours looks better than mine.
I tries a partial remake of the razorleaf putting 2 emp weapons 2 laser cannon and 30 power class c reactor and standard shields.,,,fast and light but ugly blows things up quick all systems on max power
@MatyGonIsHere I use the emp razorleaf when I wish to add to fleet minus constellation in tow.betty abd vasco seem to have bo issues (negotiations for a ship with a pacifier)
Very cool whip. My main ship has been a hauler home build with no maneuverability. I finally built my first ship yesterday which was a mini hauler. More maneuverable but not great (30). I’m definitely going to build some thing small like this one. I don’t know the parts that well so it’s good you have recommendations.
I love this design, but every time I try to make it as per this video it says not enough landing gear and I have to add more landing gear and loose two engines.
I just buy a Shackleton and upgrade it later after I build my amp outpost and space port when I sell off the Frontier. The Shackleton has a very good 1500 shield that will suffice to Unity. I upgrade her fuel tanks immediately, and upgrade the reactor and grav drive when I can. I usually upgrade her with particle weapons.
Cool looking ship! I built something similar. I chose to use the B class 104DS Mag Internal Reactor that gives 1 less power because its 1 high instead of the 2 high C class. Just looked more streamlined. That one less power just means my Grav drive takes a few seconds longer to charge up. Plus that class B reactor has a attachment point on top. So can put my shield on top of it. Meaning I could use my favorite Vanguard shield. While I love the exterior look of the Taiyo cockpit, I absolutely hate the interior, mainly the wasted space at the back. I have come to the conclusion that I like the interior looks of the Nova Galactic wide cockpit better so I use that. As far as that goes I like most, if not all, of the Nova interiors the best so I tend to use their habs almost exclusively. Then there is the Stroud Eklund cockpit that is similar to the Nova and Taiyo. Its great because it has two more crew positions but the first person view absolutely sucks when trying to look above your ship. I play mostly in first person so this was a deal breaker.

I love the useful space in the back of the Taiyo cockpit because I use a console command to „decorate“ the ship more to my liking: open your console (using a PC of course) with the key ~ or the key ö on a german keyboard - and type: player.placeatme 00024DC7 1 Now in front of your feets (better to stand in an unused corner of the ship so this „decoration panel“ is not in the way!) is a „decoration panel“. You can now decorate the ship with all the stuff like building an outpost (weapon racks, ammo boxes, safes, military boxes, signs, workbenches, etc.
I just had enough lol to build this off the razorleaf added one shielded storage and and a jammer and still have perfect mobility this ship is what i had in mind of my dream ship and when mods come out then the fun begins when it comes to ship building thank you for a great ship its small and cute but also deadly

Im late to the party but this is my favourite ship. I used the frontier as base so kept the original 2x1 NG hab, also haven't done VG missions so using 4 PBO-30 auto electron beams *im on NG+
The Class B SAE engine makes no sense. It slows you down and uses more energy. The 4 lass A engines would have been enough. You could move the grav drive back and add an additional 1x1 hab or a structural part.
Anyone with minimal experience on this game will eventually realize B and C class are for pussies :p A class all day, the mighty 3015 engines give you wings !

@MatyGonIsHere It's a shame that that's only engine that gets you there. I wish there was a different design that gave you the same speed. The problem is made worse when you factor in the percentile speed boost you get from Sam. Factoring in your own perks as well, 150 top becomes 230 with 900+ for a boost. A 180 base becomes 280 and 1100+ with the boost. I don't like being tied to a specific character/engine to attain that speed. I feel pigeon-holed into a particular look and crew makeup.
where is a good place to get these parts to build this beside building in the outpost? The reason I'm asking is I want to sell my stolen ships to recover my ship building fees & retain my credits.
Use the A class, dude, all A - reactor at 33, A shield at 890, 3 x Reza 30 and 2 x K31A guns ! Pushed by 3 x 3015 engines, will dance circles around your build :p This - this build is NOT a very agile ship... And get rid of particle weapons, those are only for newcomers, newbies, peoples who do not know to use speed, thrusters and targeting systems ! By a man and use lasers and ballistic 😂😂😂
Still feels insulting calling this mechanic bounty hunting, you aren’t actually a bounty hunter until you have the option to capture em dead or alive and physically bring em in. Until then you are a hitman.
@@MatyGonIsHere and effective, but I was trying to make with the Cabot bridge, now it looks like the spaceship droid from starwars, six of the Vanguard eradicator pulse laser cause 2 cost, and what ever em lasers, once I get to b class adding in the 4 auto turrets to watch back

The Frontier is the one ship in the game you can't sell! I tried it and the game let you not sell it!

Where did you go to build your ship? Does it matter?
Mostly my outpost, but then the rest I got at Jamerson. Like the weapons. Some technicians have unique items.

One of the White Dwarf Engines - the 3015 actually gives you 180, not 150.

I was able to do everything first out the outpost then at Stroud. They had the rest.
If you 6 Alium 7 class A engines you can hit a top speed of 1167

You can capture them alive; you just need mods to actively bring them in and collect the bounty the old fashioned way.
Useful brigs mod is one I downloaded along with many others

What was the cost
This one was a little bit expensive cause I went with all the best stuff. I believe it was a little over $300K.
